I did some price checking, the other 2 plumbers only gave me a price to repair old softner. Did not recommend replacing the unit. when I called American Water, they suggested for the price of the repair I would be better off purching a new unit. I agreed. they post their prices on line which I had already checked. This was on Monday, I asked if they could come out on Friday to install. The installer was very helpful, and after installing the unit, gave me a run down on how the unit worked and what I needed to do in the future. Thank-You Angie

I called for a water softener and RO quote and owner Tom K. answered my call. Within an hour he came to my home and provided a hassle free quote. I had some real concerns about a prior companies quote and Tom answered my questions honestly and accurately. If I had gone with the prior company they were going to complete an improper installation. They were proposing to drain the softener run off into a irrigation pipe that eventually spilled onto the sidewalk at the edge of my yard. What a disaster that would have been, and a home owners association nightmare. I called and booked the appointment that same afternoon, and the install was completed the next morning. Now that is service! The install went great and we are already enjoying the benefits of our purchase. I also had them install a kitchen faucet and they did it without hesitation and at a great price. I would highly recommend American Home Water to my friends and family.

Wow, I called Tom A. on a Thursday (8/30), he came to my home on Friday (8/31) to quote and they installed the system on Saturday (9/1). That kind of prompt service is hard to find. The price was very reasonable and the installers were professional and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves, were polite and respected my home and garage. The system has been wonderful and I feel this company will stand by their product. If you are in the valley and need a water softener (or one of their other services) I doubt you will find a better company, sure you might find "cheaper", but I will always pay a few extra dollars for this kind of service and quality. -Mike H. I had researched Angie's list and had found American Home Water. I had been search for a water softener and we even had looked into Kinetico. However, I did not want to pay the price of Kinetico and had received mixed reviews. I like to do all the research I can in advance before calling anyone and the Kinetico site had very little to offer. Essentially you couldn't get much information without having a sales visit which proved to be more of a pressure sales tactic. When researching American Home Water online, their website was wonderful. It provided a lot of information on the water softeners and other water filtering items along with the prices. Based on the square footage of our home, I was able to determine the water softener that we would need before even calling the company. The prices were extremely reasonable in comparison to so many other companies I had researched and they had a long history in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix Metro area). In addition, their water softeners had an excellent warranty. I finally called them on 6/5/2012 and spoke with one of the owners. I told them that we wanted to go forward with getting a water softener and that I thought we may have also needed Big Blue. He asked me some probing questions and ensured that I understood the difference between a water softener and a water filtering system. Based on my answers, they indicated that we would not need Big Blue and that the water softener should take care of our concerns. I loved that they were very honest with me and did not try to sell me something that I didn't need. I asked if they could come out on that Friday - June 8th. They scheduled me and showed up on that date as promised. The two gentlemen that came were very efficient and professional. They explained how things worked and we essentially haven't had to do a thing to the unit except for monitor and fill it with salt. This was a wonderful overall experience and I would recommend this company over any others. Thank you American Home Water!!!

Tom Atkinson came to our home on June 26 and gave us information and an estimate for installing a water softener and RO system in our new home. We had quite a few questions since we are new residents in AZ. He was able to schedule installation for the next day, June 27. The installers came right on time, installed the equipment and explained everything. We even received a 5% discount for using a coupon from Angie's list.

Arrived on time. 2-man crew were both knowledgable and efficient. Awesome customer service experience....I will be using in the future.

After months and months of interviewing different companies and their products and much frustration I found American Home Water. They sell an awesome product at an awesome price with awesome customer service. They are the whole package! I called Tuesday morning to inquire about their product and pricing and 24 hours later I had a Whole House water Filter System and a Water Conditioner. Noticed the results immediately. The entire process was a 100% positive experience. I will definitely call them again and refer them to friends.

They guys did a great job. I was dealing with a number of other issues and hardly knew they were there.

Outstanding. Our old unit was trying to recycle constantly so I used the bypass valve to stop that and called this company. The owner apologized that he might not be able to get it done until tomorrow, but called back quickly to say they could squeeze us in today. So within 2 hours of calling we had two excellent plumbers at the house, very professional, who quickly and neatly did the job. This was a first-class experience. When our water heater goes I know whom to call.

They gave us a discount because we had found them through Angie’s List. We don’t know anyone in Phoenix because we are from Minnesota so we are relying on Angie’s List. They responded to us quickly. We did not know what we needed but they gave us the information with which we were able to do some research. What we thought we needed was not what we needed and actually it worked out cheaper which is always nice. There were other problems in the house that we had no idea existed in the house; they told us how to fix them. They were able to place something’s and making it work without having to go through big expenses of having a plumber come in. We really appreciated that. The workers that they sent out were extremely professional. They stayed until everything was done and cleaned up. They took care of everything and in one trip. They came exactly when they said they were going to come. We compared the costs and they were the same compared to other merchandisers; theirs was cheaper than the other companies. I would definitely call them back if I needed them.

Danny was punctual, very knowledgeable and patient with the details we needed to know about a system we were unfamiliar with. We would certainly recommend this company and Danny:)

The two service technicians from American Home Water did an outstanding job. The work was done right the first time, they knew what they were doing, and they were professional and friendly to work with. We couldn't be happier with all three products installed and the work that was performed.

No issues whatsoever - easy install. Tom talked to us about the options available to us, gave us quote based on the info we provided and we agreed to proceed with an installation. They had an opening available the next day, so we took it and Jose called us that morning to give us a 2-hour window they would arrive in and they arrived exactly in the middle window. Jose quickly installed the R/O system while Adrian installed the water softener. Total time for install - approx. 1.5 hours. Jose went over the equipment upon completion of the installation and gave us tips and do's and dont's. These guys are an amazing crew and were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. I would eagerly recommend them!

They did a pretty good job. They came the next day and it was a pretty good price. Ten years ago I replaced it and the price has really gone up. I paid $300 before and I got this for $514 including a discount and the tax. Some were going for $600-$700. They gave me a 5 percent Angie's List discount. The experience was good. He was prompt. He promised a good price and did a good job of getting it changed. It seems like a good unit although I have never heard of the manufacturer. He said it was a top of the line. Overall they were very satisfactory.

The plumbing for the Fridge took some custom install work and Tom came out himself with a great crew and took care of all the install work quickly. If Nordstrom's wrote the book on customer service, I think everyone at AHS has memorized and live it - what a great customer service experience.. The great service, responsiveness, quality (great warranties too) and price/value I received was second to no other purchase I have ever made and absolutely lived up to all the raving reviews I had read before making my decision. I think one would be foolish to buy from anywhere else. I am personally going to refer these guys to everyone I know. I run into so much high pressure sales and horrible customer service out there in the market anymore that it was very very refreshing to have this kind of experience. Threem months after the install the products are all still working great and I am as happy now as I was on the day in the install.

They came out and fixed my moms water softener for free, which I was very happy and amazed with. That was the best experience I have had. They were so kind. They did a remarkable installing my water softener. They showed up on time, it was reasonably priced, and it was a clean installation. I noticed a difference immediately on the water quality.

I searched several companies and I got a very good price from them. It was several hundred dollars from other quotes that I received. I did everything over the phone because it was for a rental house so I never actually physically interfaced with them. They sent me the bill through the mail. They went the same day to do the installation and had it done within a couple of hours.

We originally called these guys for pricing on a water softener system. While Tom was there we asked him about RO since our fridge water filter system just died. Tom gave us two options for the RO: the 'traditional' installation under the sink with a faucet drilled into our coutertop or a 'custom' installation in the garage which happened to be right behind the fridge and had the water line into the fridge on the garage wall. He gave us prices for both which seemed very reasonable. We ended up calling them a week later to do the RO. Great experience with the installation. The crew showed up when they said they would, performed the work quickly and did an excellent, professional install. There was a little 'mishap' in the garage with the drywall but they had someone out within the hour to fix it and did a great job on the drywall work too! We hope to have the funds together by the end of the month to do the water softener install and I'll do a review on that once it's complete as well. You can't go wrong with American Home Water: honest, friendly, professional and to-the-point...oh, and they are reasonable with pricing too!

They were very nice. What I liked about them was that he was not a typical salesman. He came over and told us what they had to offer and how much they charge and what they would do. He seemed like a real nice, determined guy and so we went with him. Their price seemed average and I don't think that we got a fabulous price but we didn’t get a bad price either from what I looked up online. It was pretty comparable to what other people were charging. I liked the idea that he offered an extended warranty and good pricing for coming back to change filters in a year. I liked the easy access and the person's determination as well. It has been installed now for about eight weeks and everything has been good so far. We have had absolutely no issues so far. They were very fast and came out right away, and got right back to me when I called and they didn't answer the phone. Everybody was right on top of things. They could not have been any faster. They called in the morning and were out that afternoon doing the installation, and you couldn't ask for more than that. The people who came out to do the installation were very nice and very courteous and they answered all my questions.

Experience was pretty much the same as everyone else's here - no problems, no leaks, good price, on-time and professional, and even went the extra mile for me. They did all the work but then moved the equipment into my laundry room area (from the garage) so that I could have the garage floor painted (epoxy), cabinets installed, and walls painted. They returned to install the unit completely (and show me how to use it) once this garage work was completed. I had a very small leak at one of the valves but was told this was normal. Sure enough, it stopped on its own within the week, just before any water would have hit the floor (VERY small but normal leak for four days). Your choices are pretty much American Home Water or Advantage Pure Flo. I chose AHW because they didn't give me the hard sell for the top of the line unit, and explained the mid-range unit very well. APF gave me the hard-sell on the top of the line unit, and left me doubting the capability of their mid-range unit to satisfy my needs. Based on my budget, this made the decision easy for me.

Product works great, installation was fast, and they explained exactly how the system worked and what was needed for maintenance (which isn't much). Very happy with the experience.
