First they came out and looked at our current setup to make recommendations for a water softener & treatment system. He was honest and said that with the size of our family we could get away with the smaller system if we wanted, but it would be better to have the bigger system for house resale purposes. I decided to go with the bigger one (The President). He gave me the quote for the system and installation without any upselling or sales pressure like the other companies I dealt with. I finally called back a couple months later to set up an appointment to install the system. They were able to come out within a couple days on very short notice and installed our Water Softener, Filtration System, and R/O system. They were quick, punctual, and did a great job at installing the system. They programmed it for us so we did not have to do anything. I didn't review right away because I like to see the equipment work for a while. Our ice is clear now, our water tastes so good that drinking restaurant water now seems gross most of the time. I cleaned our glass shower doors and scraped off the buildup from our shower head right after the system was installed, our glass is still very clean looking! Before it would get the white buildup within less than a week! Our glass ware also comes out sparkly even when we use the cheaper dish washer detergent! We really like the results! The other thing that was great is the price. Other companies wanted to charge upwards of $5000 and made me sit through long sales pitches!

Angel called the morning of the 31st as promised and arrived to my condo in a timely manner. He was courteous and did the replacement professionally and timely. He pointed out the things that needed updated or replaced in terms of connections and added an overflow plan too at the price that originally promised. Upon completion I forgot to tell him that I used Angie's list but he told me that there was a discount so he patiently waited for me to print out the coupon and he adjusted the bill accordingly. Overall, a great job by Angel and I would highly recommend American Home Water.

I needed someone in a hurry and the response was the same day. Gerardo was here at my house within a day and removed my old softener and reverse osmosis and installed the new ones. He was very polite and professional. He even cleaned up after he was finished. I am VERY satisfied with this technician and this company. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Tom Atkinson came by a few days ago to talk to me about my old Culligan soft water system. We have been having numerous problems with it, and since it is proprietary to Culligan, no one can repair it except Culligan. This I already knew, as I have had previous service calls from them, which they charged an arm and a leg. Several different companies told me that Culligan makes their money off of service, which I did not know at the time of the purchase. Since this model was 12 years old, I was trying to decide whether to pour more money into it or purchase a new one. Tom was right on time and spent about an hour here seeing if he could find out what the problem was, just to get us by, until we were in a better position to purchase a new one. He even tried to locate the problem with our hot water recirculator, but that fix will have to be done by a plumber, due to a problem of the manner in which it was installed. Tom was so nice in trying to help us and we appreciated all of his advice. He never tried to pressure us into buying and instead, gave us options. My husband and I talked it over and called him the next day to proceed with the new soft water unit. It was installed the following day by one of his employees, Gerardo. He was right on time, (can you believe a company that adherers to their promises?), was so professional, and answered all our questions. Gerardo was very efficient and even swept our garage when he was done. He also installed new filters on our r/o, sanitized it and gave us some advice about the filters. This company is outstanding! I am so very impressed with the professionalism of Tom as well as his employees. Tom explained they do not use subcontractors or hire outside labor - they have their own employees do the installations. This way, they have quality control over all their jobs. I could not be happier - starting from the initial call to the installation. I'll definitely recommend AHW to our friends and neighbors.

This was an excellent experience. I found them on the Angie's list website under plumbing. They responded immediately when I called their number. I had called several other plumbers but only received voicemail. These people were very responsive, and the price that they advertised was significantly less than others for the same product. They work on Saturday and there was no additional charged for that service. They called ahead to confirm the appointment and arrived when they said they would. The technician was extremely thorough, and appeared to really know his craft. I feel the price was very fair and I received a 5% discount because of my affiliation with Angie's list. This is my second experience with Angie's list. The first was with a cabinet maker who proved to be outstanding in every way. So I thought I would try Angie's list again when this water heater failed. I could not be more pleased.. I highly recommend this company for water heater replacement. As a matter of fact I am ;planning to have them replace my other water heater soon as it is out of warranty. UPDATE: I submitted a review just a minute ago, and i forgot to mention the technicians name. His name was Angel. A very thorough and competent tech. He was neat about his work, he was thorough, and efficient. He obviously knew his craft, and proceeded to accomplish it with aplomb . I was pleasantly surprised that the installation included new fittings as well as a new water heater. He did not consider using any of the old fittings from the original heater install. Also he was aware that his torch might set off my sprinkler system and so we packed an ice bag around the sprinkler head to prevent it from going off if it was exposed to the heat of the torch. You should be proud to have an employee like Angel. He is an asset to your firm.

I was out of town, and my neighbor called that I had water flowing out of my garage. I contacted American Home Water through Angie's list. I inquired about tankless water heating systems, and they provided me a very detailed white paper (on their web site). I went with a traditional water heater, and the total cost installed was less then $700. By the next day, upon my return home, I had hot water! They did such a good job on the water heater, that I inquired about their water softener options as well. One of the owners, Thomas drove to my house and met with me to discuss their product offering. I do not have a loop in my garage near the water heater, so he suggested that I run it on the outside of the house and place near my pool pump to save installation cost (substantial savings). This was a great suggestion. Sounds obvious, but I did not realize that you could install the water softeners outside. The water softener was less than $1,400 installed. I have recommended their services to my neighbor, who is considering a new water softener.

Excellent service. The owner was able to assess my needs over the phone and provide a quote. Gerardo showed up on time, performed the instal, cleaned up and was gone in 2 hours. I had a question later that afternoon and one of the owners drove over and checked out my concern. As it turns out, all was well. There was no attempted up selling and the final cost matched the estimate. And the cost was a fraction of the other estimates I had. 5 year warranty to boot.

I called about 10 am after seeing the dreaded pool of water on the garage floor, and Angel was here in less than an hour. He was courteous, professional, competent and clearly interested in making sure I was happy with the job. I was. I used this company a couple of years ago for a new water softener, and was happy (and not disappointed) to use them again.

After receiving quote, a few days later technicians Fidel and Angel came to property to install water softener system. They were on time, nice, and told us what they were going to be doing throughout the install. The water was only off for about 30 minutes, otherwise we didn't really notice the techs. The install - as far as we can see - is perfect and just what we had envisioned. There was no mess to clean up and work was done in about 2.5 hours. Best of all, it has basically transformed our once hard water. Additionally, they had to install extra plumbing which added to cost, but they also added a soft water hose bib up front, outside! Not sure why we waited to get this done! I would use this company again without question.

AHW came the same day I called! Gerardo was polite, professional, and made excellent recommendations on the R/O system I needed. He tested the water and showed me why it was advisable to install a new system now. (With my Angie's List coupon, I saved enough to cover the tax!) It took him less than 1/2 an hour to finish the job, and he gave me easy-to-follow instructions on how to care for the system. Gerardo also gave me advice on my water heater and a phone number to call when it is time to consider a new one. I will be glad to let AHW take care of all my home water needs!

I was very impressed They did exceptional work. They were responsive and answered my questions. Professional, clean and quick. I was happy from the time they arrived through to finish. The price was appropriate for the beautiful job they did. It took 2 1/2 hours from the point of the first phone call. Fidel was our primary technician and both he and his associate were very nice and polite.

One of the partners came to our house to explain everything and answer our questions, and then about a week later it was installed, quickly and efficiently. A connection to the outgoing water supply was needed, so that was finished a week after that, and things have worked well since then.

Beyond my expectations. Extremely pleased with service and would use again. Highly recommend. I spoke to both Tom's over the phone. Both explained the product, service, and price. Installation scheduled the next day. Angel called on way to house. Showed when he said he would. Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and a hard worker. He went above and beyond in correcting previous plumber errors and brought everything to code. Completely picked-up and cleaned where he worked. Plus, no extra or hidden expenses.

Called at 5pm, and the softener was in the next morning at 10am. Full 10 year warranty with 25 year parts warranty. Quality work, prompt and so easy!

Initial contact with Tom. He came out and gave me a quote for their most popular set up for my new home. I made adjustments and had his crew come to the home on the 15th 2014. They crawled into the attic, taped into the main line before it split, installed the softener, hooked everything up and got it going. At the same time Jose and his partner installed the reverse osmosis. Everything went extremely smooth and we are extremely satisfied with the product and service. They were very thorough in explaining the system and what we need to do. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting home water softener & reverse osmosis system. Thank you AHW for your service.

I called and received a quote over the phone. Literally within 3.5 hrs of that call I had a new installed softener and RO system-WOW! The technician was prompt, courteous and very neat. He explained the system to me and sincerely encouraged me to call if I had any questions in the future. Though it hasn't yet been a full day with my new products, I am happy so far and would recommend this company.

I was incredibly pleased with my installation and the process of purchasing a soft water system and R/O system from American Home Water! I did a lot of research to find out the best system and customer service out there and American Home Water is definitely it! I was shocked to find the best product and customer service was actually in the middle for pricing, amazing!! I spoke several times with Tom Atkinson, one of the owners to get all my questions answered and get my quote. He was very patient, as this process was new to me, I have never had soft water before and wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I would be getting. He explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable and confident in the job they would do. Jose and one other installer came out to do the install, it was perfection! The full loop was installed, so I have soft water out of my kitchen sink too, drilled through the granite perfectly for my drinking water spigot...I couldn't be happier! it is everything I thought it would be and more! I thought it would take a little time to get use to the soft water, but it didn't, I loved it from the start and the drinking water is fabulous! I find myself drinking more and cooking healthier too, since no longer using tap water! I highly recommend American Home Water, if you are looking for a quality product and the best customer service! Anyone researching whole house water solutions knows how hard the water is in Arizona. My wife and I could hardly take a shower due to water hardness problems. These guys are absolutely on target with the quality of their products, no pressure sales approach and thoroughly checking existing plumbing to find the root cause of problems so they can provide a solid solution. I am seldom impressed enough to write a review on these types of services, but it is refreshing to find AHW.

I picked AHW because of all the reviews on angies list. I have had only 1 negative experience since using angies list and this one was far from it. Tom came out and gave me a bid on everything. I originally just wanted everything however I have been wanting a water softener for a while due to the hard water here in AZ. Well the price for everything was wayyyy below that of kinetico...which I will get into in just a second. Kinetico actually came out first and tried to sell me a 3k water softer system for my home. I asked about warranties, ya 1 year labor 10yr parts. The sales guy was kind of a jerk pushing and pushing for me to sign a deal then and there, after reading some angies list comments found that was pretty common for that company. I decided to try AWH. Tom came out said here u go how much its going to cost have a nice day and call us if u want to proceed, pretty much just like that. Not pushy at all. Oh and their President water softener 10yr full warranty parts and labor. I decided to go with AHW. Jose showed up with his employee bright and early they installed everything in about 4 hours went over how to use it and maintenance on the unit. Very professional, not pushy and their plumbing craftsmanship is top notch. I checked out all the copper welds from the install ( I didn't have a softener loop) were done by a professional. (I've done plenty of welding in my time). I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a water softener, heater or RO system.

Contact Tom Atkinson via his mobile on a Saturday morning, and he came out to our home within 2-hours same day. He quickly assessed our home and discussed options available; his visit only lasted about an hour. We decided on what systems we wanted the very same day and called Tom back and scheduled installation the following Monday. The installation went exceptionally smooth and Tom's installers were extremely professional. When they finished, it did not even look like they were there, even though there was trenching involved through the yard and under the sidewalk, and installation of spout on kitchen sink and connection to ice maker on refridgerator for RO system. Once the old water finished in the hot water tank, we immediately saw improvements in our dishwasher, washing machine, drinking water. The cost was more than reasonable. We were expecting a much higher cost and destruction of the driveway both neither came into play. I will strongly recommend this company to my friends shopping to get a water softener, RO, or home filtration system installed.

It went very well. Made initial inquiry as to price, schedule etc. around noon on a Friday and talked through brand, model and pricing info with co-owner Tom Knapp all during that initial call. Around 60-90 minutes later an AHW service truck with the new water heater showed up. The service tech, Higinio, was friendly, courteous, and impressed me as very competent and professional. He disconnected and removed the old unit, rerouted plumbing as necessitated by the change in heater types, , installed the new unit, provided "how to use" info and all the paperwork necessary for me to register the new heater, cleaned up the area, loaded the old heater carcass for haul away, and was gone in an amazingly short time after arriving. Pricing was as stated in the initial phone call with Tom Knapp. I give AHW management and service techs all A's . The only exception is that I rated "QUALITY" as "N/A" since time will tell if the Bradford White model proves more reliable than many have complained of on various WEB sites.

Installed a new water softener to existing loop, and a new R/O system. 3 men, all were quick, professional, and after a demo answered any questions I had.

Being a retired construction worker myself, I know professionalism when I see it. After browsing Angie's List looking for a soft water company, I came across American Home Water, Inc. After reviewing all the data pertaining to them, all positive by the way, I decided to give them a try. I called them on a Saturday morning & a fellow by the name of Jose answered the phone. He wanted to know when would be a good time to come out for an estimate. The following Monday & Tuesday were not the best day for me, so he asked "how about today" ? "Great", I said & a few hours later, up showed Tom Knapp, one of the top advisers for the company. He came up with suggestions & a spot for the softener, that I had no idea that it was possible. I was very impressed with his knowledge. An agreement was reached & an install date was set. Much to my surprise, they had a cancellation & was able to come a day earlier. Jose, the man I had first contacted came with his crew & I must say they did an incredible job. This is where professionalism shined. Everything was done in a very neat way & they cleaned up & left without a trace of ever being here...with the exception of the new installation, of course.
