American Home Water and Air

The technician (Johnny) called in advance of his arrival to confirm the time he would arrive at my home. He arrived at the time promised. He explained everything he was doing and what procedures I had to follow to clear the system prior to using it again. I also discussed a problem with him that I was having getting a metallic type smell from the water from the refrigerator. He provided some possible causes and solutions for me to investigate. He was very polite and knowlegable.

Johnny was friendly and approachable. He took ownership of changing the connection so it was up to code. He gave us directions to drain the tan, even providing the exact times. He asked if we had any questions.

I bought a water softener and an R/O system from AHW a few years ago. The only issue I ever had was low pressure in the R/O tank which can happen over time. When replacing my filters, they recharged the tank free of charge. Johnny has serviced my system the last two years. He calls ahead of time to verify and let you know about when he'l be there. He is very professional and helpful. Although he was out to replace the R/O filters, he checked the softener system while he was here. Never have had a problem with AHW and appreciate their service.

He was awesome, quick system check and filter change and also went over the do-s and don'ts of potassium for my system which now are saving me money! He was super friendly and very easy going guy- KUDOS

Went very well. Johnny is a very good technician. He took care of everything quickly and was most friendly and helpful. A nice individual to do business with. All the details are that there was not much to do. The softener had been turned off when and how we do not know. Hooking the RO up to the refrigerator was not problem. Professional all the way!

Got a price quote from Tom over the phone for a new water heater and shorthly therafter Fidel arrived to install it. We were very pleased with the speed of response, especially since it was early on a Saturday morning. Fidel was very professional, friendly, and efficient in getting the job done. We really appreciate that he also replaced the water shut off valve as the old one was bad. The entire process with American Home Water was fantastic, but that was no surprise to us and the reason we chose them was because a year earlier they had installed our water softener, which also was a wonderful experience. I needed by RO filter changed and was having issues with my water softner tank. Johnny was probably one of the best service representatives that I have ever seen in a long time. He did what he needed to do and answered all my questions and made all the recommendations. His honesty was refreshing. For service, they called before they came and even though I had fallen asleep, they did not just leave at not getting a response at the door once. They called again before giving up! They were courteous, friendly and quick. After figuring out why my tank was leaking and because of my schedule ... they made adjustments to their own schedule to get the repairs done the same day. I originally had my system installed by them and will continue to work with them. They are not the cheapest service out there, because I found a few who were cheaper but it's their integrity of service and their flexibility and willingness to do whatever it takes to help that is worth the cost of having a service that you can depend on!

From the referral from Angie's List to completion, AHW was better then I expected. After having another local company come to my house for an hour-long "sales pitch," I called AHW and was given a quote for a hot water heater and recirculator over the phone. I scheduled the appointment, Angel came at the appointed time, and was polite, professional, and, best of all, not pushy! He also offered a reasonable solution to a problem that saved us both a lot of time. If all you want is a hot water heater and you want it quickly with no hassles, AHW is the place to call.

I was impressed with the speed and professionalism of the process. Johnny cleaned the filter housings inside and out. All water drips were wiped up and an extra check for leaks made at the end of the job before leaving. Additionally, he checked the softwater system to make sure it was functioning correctly without being asked.

Total price, including installation in my garage, for a 50-gallon electric water heater was only $549.00. Home Depot's "Guaranteed Low Price" was over $800. Installer Angel did a great job -- about 30 minutes, start to finish. I almost held back one star for not offering a drip pan. They are a few bucks extra but can prevent some big headaches in the (unlikely) event of a leak. I called American Home the next day and they agreed to come out and install the drip pan at a reduced price. Apparently it's a pretty big job when done post-install; have to drain the tank, etc., just like the original install.5029

We are very pleased with American Home Water, and with the tech who came out, Gerardo. He was very kind and explained what he would be doing, and he showed us our old filters, and showed me the new ones he was putting in. He was very neat (laid a towel down in the area where he was working), and he even replaced the items from under the sink once the work was complete. He provided us with instructions on what we should do with the RO system for the rest of the evening, and was very knowledgable. He also knew that our Soft Water system was from American Home Water (which we had purchased 2 years earlier) and he checked it out, just to make sure it was running okay. He noticed a small leak (he showed me the leak and the calcium building up), and within 10 minutes he replaced the piping on the Soft Water system. He was prompt, knowledgable, and very helpful! The only slight concern I had was - I just came onto Angie's list to provide them with this nice review, and I noticed that there is a coupon on Angie's list with a good discount on replacing RO water filters (which would have saved me $30+. I wish that when I had called to schedule, American Home Water would have asked me if I was an Angie's List member and told me about the coupon - or just provided me with the discount because I am a loyal customer. However, I still believe that American Home Water is an exceptional company - the products, service and warranties with this company are amazing. We have been very happy with American Home Water for both our Reverse Osmosis and our Soft Water System. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for other in home water services. A+ rating from us!

We received several quotes from other water softener companies and not only was Tom's quote the best price but we felt that it was the best product. He was very prompt in scheduling our consultation and I appreciated his very relaxed approach with explaining his system and the costs associated with it...no hard sale tactics. We just had the system installed yesterday and I can say that everyone from Tom (the owner) to the guys who installed the system were professional, prompt & courteous. I am so pleased with our decision.

We are renovating bathrooms and decided that our 10 year old electric hot water heater should be replaced to improve the length of time we have hot water when several people are showering. I researched several brands of hot water heaters online and several companies in order to choose the best brand at the best price. After becoming totally confused by the reports online about water heaters, I spoke with the owner at American Home Water, who explained the differences between two brands they carry. After speaking with him, I chose the Bradford White and had them install it as their price was very fair. Fidel Sanchez, the technician, called the morning of the installation and gave us a time he would be coming. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. He changed out the old water heater for the new one. Before leaving, Fidel went over key points with the new hot water heater. I had read about the quality of service provided by American Home Water online. They are highly rated because they provide excellent customer service. We made a good choice in choosing them.

He showed up on time and did everything I expected very quickly and professionally. When I had a question regarding the filter in the refrigerator and how it worked with the RO filter, he came out the next day for a quick consultation. I'm very happy with the service and would use them again.

The service experience was top notch. The service aspect went well and the service technician, Johnny, was professional, cordial, and performed the maintenance expeditiously.

Johnny called prior to arrival to confirm the time, after arriving I went over the issue with my current softner not working. He was able to determine the issue quickly and provide a quote to repair. He also provided additional information based on the needed repair that could lead to additional issues being discovered after the fix. We reviewed all the options including replacement of the unit and scheduled for a new softner to be installed. The $85.00 service charge will be deducted from the new unit price and out the door will have a new softner for $1205. I selected the President model based on warranty and quality, Johnny's experience with that model and the others helped me to make an informed decision. This is the second time I have used American Home Water and both experiences have been great. I am looking forward to my new softner and relationship with American Home Water.

American Home Water Inc is everything that they say they are on their website. They are upfont and honest. I like that I did not have to have a sales person come to my home and sell me something that I might not have needed. Angel and Higinij came out to install the water softener and did a great job! They cleaned up after the install and were very friendly and polite. One thing that the installers did that really stood out was regarding the payment. I gave them payment and they asked that I wirte a good review for them, I said that I found this company on Angies list and would be happy to write a good review. A couple minutes later Angel came back to the door and said that I had overpaid for the water softner and that they gave me back $50.00 of the money when I printed out the Angies list coupon. I have to say that the honesty by Angel and Higinij was the most impressive part of this transaction. They could have just kept the money and I would have not known any better, but becasue of this honesty AHW has gained a life long customer. Thanks you AHW

Their service was punctual and professional regarding both the initial visit and estimate and the installation itself. I would highly recommend this company.

Gerardo showed up on time and got right to work. He checked my RO system and determined I did not need to replace the system membrane. He quickly changed out the other filters as requested and took time to answer my questions as he did so. He was very courteous, professional and took the time to make sure there was no spillage. Really happy with the service and will have no difficulty recommending them and using them again.
