When my poor old hot water heater decided to leak, I needed help fast! Tom, the owner, answered the phone when I called, and despite the fact that I didn't have as much information for him as I probably should have, he was able to discuss options with me, provide a quote over the phone and set up an appointment within the hour. The technician, Gerardo, arrived on time with two different sized heaters to ensure that one of them would fit the space. The heater sat on an odd platform about two feet off the floor, but Gerardo was able to quickly and efficiently lower the clunky old heater and lift the new one up into place. An hour and a half later, my new hot water heater was installed, looking good and running fine. The plumbing was much better that what was previously there; although I'm not in the trades myself, most of my family was when I grew up, so I know what good work should look like. This was top notch. Thank you so much for turning a scary household emergency into a simple experience that didn't break the bank.

I first met Tom Atkinson in 2011 when he replaced a water heater for me and was blown away by the quick response and speed of the actual replacement, you should watch these guys. In my new home I had an old water softener that was left by the prior owner and hadn't been in operation for years. My water heater was 17 years old and the hot water had a really bad taste. My R/O was still functioning o.k. but I had a hard time getting filters for it. I called Tom Atkinson on Saturday to give me a consultation and he came out the same day, explained my options and gave me a quote for a new softener, R/O and water heater. Fidel & Javier came out on Monday and installed my new system. They also moved an outdoor faucet connection from the "soft" side to the "hard" side upon my request. Fidel's welding is a sight to behold. For the R/O I was able to pick an upgraded spigot that matches my fixtures perfectly. They also connected the R/O to the fridge and now my ice cubes are starting to clear up, something I thought was only available via stand-alone ice makers. They hauled away my old equipment and left the work site spotless. Everything is exactly as promised, the responsiveness and speed can't be surpassed and I love my new system. I wish there were more companies with this level of dedication to their customers. They recently added Air Conditioning services to their offerings and I'm currently exploring that as well.

Gerardo was quick and efficient and all worked well when he was done. He places a cloth beneath him to keep your floor clean, but there were a few spots left that I had to clean up. This is not normal. I've had them for several years, so he no doubt just didn't see it.

He was very friendly and courteous and answered all of our questions.

He explained process before starting, showed me products to be installed, confirmed what I wanted and that I was comfortable where he suggested the drinkintg water faucet to go. Installation was extremely fast and the cleaned up completely after install. I liked that he explained the process and offered tips to maintain my new system and prolong its product life.

After an initial miscommunication, AHW sent out a crew immediately to install my hot water heater. They showed up at the agrred time and installed the unit quickly and professionally. Fidel and Javier were very polite and professional.

The brine tank on my water softener sprung a leak and dumped salt all over my garage floor. Called AHW and Gerardo came out within an hour and cleaned up the mess and replaced my brine tank under warranty. He also spent time with me showing me how to test my water for hardness to make sure the softener was working correctly.

Everything from the initial home consultation (by the owner Tom) to the install (Fidel and Frank) to the follow-up (again by Tom) was exemplary. This is the way a business should operate. We could feel the pride both the owner and his employees have in their company. Tom explained exactly what they would do, how they differ from the competition and did not try to upsell on anything we didn't need. The crew showed up on time on Saturday and worked through lunch until the project was finished. They had to dig trenches for the new water line and installed the water softener system in about 4-5 hours, despite the heat. They cleaned everything up and made sure that we were completely satisfied. Fidel also had to drill a hole into our expensive granite countertop to install the spigot for the RO system. We were very nervous about this, but he knew what he was doing and used a water cooled equipment and was able to do it without any damage to the counter top or kitchen. We would highly recommend this company as their prices were also below the competition.

Water heater was leaking. Called AHW. Gerardo arrived about 1 hour later with new water heater. Spent a lot of time on phone with AO Smith warranty Dept. Put in new WH and replaced parts that were not correct from previous installation. Gerardo was pleasant, professional ,and competent. He also changed the RO filters. I would highly recommend AHW And Gerardo.Good Job.

Luiz was professional and courteous. Filter replacement was quick and easy. He also checked the water pressure reducing valve outside and let us know that it was not working and it should be fixed, whether by them or someone else. Not something we would have otherwise known, so we are glad he checked this. We did call a plumber to replace the valve a few days later.

I filled out a bid request online and was promptly called that day. I was amazed because it was Sunday. He gave me an exact installed price on a few different models. No hidden charges and a full 10 year warranty. Gerarde came out the next day, on time and ready to do the install. He was great!! He explained the operation of the unit (very simple set and forget) and how much salt to put in. Overall a good experience.

fine as usual. only negative is a $10 price increase over last year. also, they forgot to call and remind me to schedule service this year.

Luis was on time, performed the yearly whole house water filter replacement in about 15 minutes. Despite the 114 degree weather, he was very considerate, professional, and customer service oriented. AmericanHomeWater.com is a great company and I will use them again for my whole house soft-water needs.

Awesome service! My water heater went out on Monday so I searched on Angie's list for a deal. They had the best price and great reviews so I purchased their deal. I out in the notes that my water had gone out, and I was called back in a few hours by Tom. He scheduled me for the next day to get it replaced. Daniel and Angel came by on time, were friendly and fast, and everything works great. Highly recommend!

We moved into our new home, and the house already had a water softener, but it was not maintained, and it was most likely 10 years old. We wanted a new water softener, and we wanted a reverse osmosis system. The water heater was also 10 years old, and it was 75 gallons, which was a lot larger than we needed. Therefore, we had AHW install a new water softener, a reverse osmosis system, and a new 50 gallon gas water heater. We were very pleased with everyone involved in the process and are very happy with our new water softener, reverse osmosis, and water heater.

Jose came exactly when he said he was going to. He was very efficient and personable I would recommend him to come again next year or to any friends who need their filters changed. The company that installed it a year plus ago wanted $150 to change them. American home water and air did it for $69 excellent value :)

Service was great! From the initial prompt reply of my request for information, to the in home quote, all the way to the end of the install. We started our search with bigger more popular companies and never felt comfortable with their prices or pushy sells tactics. American Home Water's price was soooooo much lower than any of the other big companies, I'm talking thousands of dollars less for the same quality products, and there was no pressure to buy. It was an easy decision to go with this company because of their knowledge and great warranties. Very professional job, best part it was completed the next day! What an amazing company with exemplary employees; American Home Water and Air is simply the BEST! My relationship with this company began three years ago when my water heater failed, leaving rusty water all over my garage floor. I called AHWA because, I remembered seeing their patriotic building (adorned with an American Flag paint scheme) off the side of the 17. One of the owners, Tom, took my call. He is extremely knowledgable, courteous, and went out of his way to provide expeditious, top-tier service. He and one of his service technicians installed a highly-rated Bradford White water heater meticulously and even cleaned my garage floor of the mess the failed unit had left. Their price was more than reasonable and their service was exceptional. Fast forward three years; I recently received a call from American Home Water and Air. They were calling to let me know that they now service and install A/C (they used to be American Home Water when I had my water heater installed). Well, the solicitation phone call was a Godsend. I have recently been plagued with two very troubled A/C units, that were rapidly approaching an untimely and inconvenient end. Also, just the day before the call, I noticed my water softener with a huge puddle under it and damaged drywall behind it. Since I was very happy with my prior experience, I had them to my house for estimates. This go-around was even more enjoyable and an over-all seamless experience. Mike and Tom came out and provided me with an array of options. They were polite, considerate of budget, and considering this was a huge expense; they put me at ease. I knew I had chosen the perfect company for the perfect install of a new water softener and highly- efficient Trane XR A/C system with an added-on, hospital-grade air filtration/ scrubber. (Our little boy has severe allergies) Mike addressed pre-existing issues regarding a room that had poor ventilation, adding a return, and fixing some ducting. All this from an poor initial install. Within five days, the team was in my house and each and every one of them were the consummate professional. Luis was the team lead, who didn't stop working for a second and made sure every piece of equipment was inspected and running excellently. Josh installed a vent above our guest room, correcting poor cooling to that room and even asked for touch-up paint to make sure it looked great. Angel installed our new water heater perfectly, explained the operation and went out of his way to salvage the three bags of salt I had just added to my old tank. He also worked with the A/C team. Daniel, Mario and Rick worked their rear-ends off non-stop on the side of the house and in the attic. They flushed all the old copper lines, triple checked pressures, welds and over-all install, put in all brand new returns, and vacuumed their work area so well, you'd never know they were working for fifteen hours in the house! The following day Brad and Darrin arrived to check the install, fix a rattling blower motor and check final pressures. Everyone of these service techs were courteous, well-mannered, well-kept and, above all, professional hard workers deserving of praise. American Home Water and Air is throw-back to a different era; when companies truly cared about their clientele and worked diligently to earn industry reputation and customer respect. Set up appointment with Jose. Angie's list stated the charge for the 5-stage RO system would be $327, including installation. Jose said installer would be out between 9 and 11. Jose showed up at 9:00 and began work. He had told me that the price would be higher if he had to run more than 6 feet of wiring from the sink which he had to do. That charge was $65. I had also stated that I would like a hot water recirculating system installed. Jose said that the charge would be $400. After he checked things out, Jose said that, because of the distance from the water heater to the kitchen sink, he didn't think we would notice a significant improvement in the amount of time it would take for the water from the tap to heat up. His honesty saved us $400. Jose explained everything thoroughly and was very polite and professional. I will definitely recommend this company to my friends. We are very happy with the RO and our water tastes great!

Went well. Didn't take very long. Communication was good.

Tom was able to manually start water conditioning softner system. He provided us with a quote to replace it if we grew tired of running it manually, or when it officially is beyond repair. He did not charge us for the service call. He provided us with information on his company and a quote for a new system. There was no pressure. Because of this, I will call Tom at American Home Water when we are ready for our new system. It was wonderful to not have to pay a service fee, and still get great service. Thank you
