I emailed Tom and he called me back right away. He came out within a couple of hours for an estimate, no pressure sale, and we scheduled for the install the very same day. I had one of their softeners at my previous home and it worked great, never an issue. Angel and Higi did the installation. They were very efficient and explained in detail how everything worked. I was impressed with what they did at my home and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new water system.

Called late afternoon after water heater had began leaking. I asked for best appointment possible and was told they would try for an early morning the next day and that the tech would call me to confirm tim. He called at 8:30 AM and was at my home by 9:00 AM and done by 10:00. Angel, the tech, was totally professional and even cleaned up all the mess left by the old unit. They'll be doing all my air. One other note, I checked other Angie's List providers and American Home Water and Air was better priced (gave an Angie's List 5% discount too) and most responsive.

Angel installed a new 50 gallon hot water heater this morning. He did an excellent job and is very nice young man. Couldn't be happier! On time Kept to quoted price no add ons.

Technician was prompt and courteous. The job was done efficiently and fairly cleanly.

Technician (J.R) called ahead and came exactly within the timeframe provided. He took less than 15 minutes to change the filter and left the place clean. This is my 4th year with AHW and service has been always outstanding.

Great! I discovered the leak late on Saturday night at 11:30pm and called the emergency line. I was able to get assistance turning off my water and so happy to have someone here the next morning to replace it. Gerardo called me Sunday to schedule and he was here shortly after 9am to get my new gas water heater installed, wow so quick on a Sunday. He was professional, punctual, and took time to answer all my questions! Great customer service! It was also time to replace my cartridges for my R/O system from American Home Water, so I called Gerardo back shortly after our 1st call to schedule to see if he had time to take care of that too. He said no problem, I was just so happy he could take care of everything for me. I called to get quotes from 2 other places, realizing I would be paying more for a Sunday and American Home saved me $250-$350 in comparison to the other companies. I really appreciate them taking care of my problem so quickly and for being so reasonably priced. Thank you Gerardo and American Home Water and Air!

Service was great Gerardo, helped service our RO. He quickly determined the issue, had a replacement on hand, and fixed with ease. He arrived within the window he had designated and only here for about a half hour. Service warranty though AHW covered the part to be replaced.

Since purchasing a soft water system and whole house filter from American Home Water & Air, their continued customer support and service has been excellent! Technician Gerarde arrived as promised and completed the service in very timely manner. I totally recommend AHWA for your plumbing and A/C needs.

The co-owner, Tom Knapp gave me a straight-forward price and set up the installation for the next day. The installer, Angel was polite, knowledgeable and did a neat installation and removal of the old unit. He explained the settings and thanked me for using American. Great company.

Water had been running down the side of my house from a spout at the upper level. This caused a rusty-looking streak, and I didn't know what was causing the water to run. A friend suggested that it might be a leak in the AC system. The American Home representative showed up on time, checked out the system, knew exactly what the problem was, repaired it, and I haven't had a problem since. I don't remember how much I paid, but I remember that I thought the charge was reasonable, and I think it was less than I anticipated. The representative was very professional in his demeanor and in the way he did his work. I would definitely call this company again. I'm sorry it took me so long to complete the review.

Tom came to our home and explained what made their water softener systems perfect for hard Arizona water. He was very nice, with a no pressure approach. Installation went great! Angel, our installer, called in the morning with his ETA. He was prompt, and did a great job. Angel explained everything we needed to know about our new system, which lucky for us, we don't need to do much of anything except add salt! Very happy with our purchase.

I got two other bids and wasn't pleased about the other companies online reviews. I checked Yelp and Angie's List and found American Home Water and Air. I completed the online 'contact me' form on Saturday, and wasn't expecting a call until Monday. Sunday morning Tom called me and said he could come out that day if I wanted; which I did. Tom looked at my house and made his recommendations. He didn't try and push anything on me, he just told me what the prices were; which were less than my other two bids. The following day Fidel & Javier showed up and did the install. I was at work, but my wife said they did a great job. When I got home and looked at the installation (Soft water system with chlorine filter and RO system), I was impressed with the cleanliness of the install. Will definitely use them again for any of my plumbing, heating, or AC concerns!!

Quick and easy. Called on Sunday, Tech called Monday at 9 a.m. to advise he would be at the house between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. He arrived on time, replaced the filters and checked for leaks. All done fast with no issues. I highly recommend American Home Water & Air !

The repair company I called quickly had someone over to give me a quote on a new unit. The price was in my opinion Incredibly high. I went to HD and Loews and looked at their units. I investigated on the internet what the best rated unit (s) are. The Fleck 5600 Kept coming up. I contacted American Home Water and Air based on their ratings on Angie's List. THANK YOU ANGIE's LIST! American Home Water and air proved to be a company that I remember in times gone by. A company with credible usable information on their web site. A Company who actually has a person answer the phone who knows what they are talking about. A Company with integrity and customer service focus. A company who quotes a price and then comes and does the work for that price. I did not speak with them until mid afternoon. Their price was less than 1/2 of the service repair company I originally called. Their unit is better quality and a better warrantied unit. LESS THAN 1/2 the cost. By 4:30 the unit was in and working. That is CUSTOMER SERVICE. They gave me a price and installed the unit within hours. Where do you get service like that these days. Tom thank you for your helpful phone service and advice. Gerardo thank you for your professional installation work and your courteousness. This company gets my call for anything I ever need that they do.

All of my questions during my initial early-morning telephone call were answered very patiently by Tom. The water heater was installed by Angel on the same day as my initial call. Angel was right on time and did a professional installation. If you want a no-gimic water heater installation at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this company..

American Home Water and Air was a great pleasure to work with. They are a dependable company that truly stands behind their work. I shopped around quite a bit for my two new HVAC units, Mike Bushong was very professional and provided a fair price. The installation crew was very professional and cleaned up after themselves. I liked their service so much that I also replaced a hot water heater with them. Just this week three months after HVAC install, I had one minor issue and their service professional, Stan came out immediately on a Sunday to take a look and took care of the issue Monday morning with Iggy in a very expedient manner. Nowadays responsive service is hard to come by and I look forward to working with them more if the need arises.

This is the fourth water softener that we hired American Home Water and Air to install for us on various houses. It was also the first one that did not have a water softener loop, so they had run a loop from the incoming water into the house. The installation was was first rate. The model was The President, a 4800 GR softener and the price, as published on their website, for this size model is $1251 plus $600 to install the loop (parts and labor). The system also has a 10 year parts and labor warranty. If a home is pre-plumbed, they charge $190 for installation, which I believe is a very fair price. With 3 guys on the job, it took about 4 hours to install loop and softener. They installation looks professional. The job site was left neat and clean. My step-daughter is in the process of having a home built and we will be having them install a water softener and RO system in that house when completed. The first time we had hired them to install a water softener at one of our homes, I made calls to several different companies and was quoted prices up to double that of American Home Water and Air for the same size system.

Tech came to our home at the time of our appointment to replace our 1-year old reverse osmosis filter. Within a few seconds he told me about a value associated (I believe) with our water system. He said that the filter would likely last another year or so. He then replaced the filters. I attempted to ask him a few questions about another water system one of my neighbors had. He said it was likely a carbon filter system and they are not very good. Within ten to twelve minutes the tech told me to let all of the water run out of the R/O system in about an hour or so. (After the second filling of water, it would be OK to drink, etc.) I left for a few hours, however, upon my return, no water came out of the R/O system. I had another commitment and thought that this could wait. The next morning, I attempted to turn on the R/O system. Nothing happened. I called American Home Water and spoke to the person answering the phone. She asked that I get under the sink to ensure that the water indicator leaving the filter was in the on position. It was. She then said that she would get a tech to call me to see if I can get the water to turn "on." While under the sink, I looked for anything that might be turned the wrong way or disconnected. I found that the water feed going to the R/O system was likely turned the wrong way. I changed the direction of the knob, heard all sorts of strange noises, but the water then started going towards the filter. By the time the tech called me back (less than 10-minutes) the job was done. American Home Water is a very good company to work with, that said, when a tech comes to your house and tells you that this job almost broke his record of 9-minutes...and leaves without checking his work, it leaves a stain on the company.

American Home Water came to my rescue again. This time my A/C compressor broke down so I decided to replace the entire HVAC system which was 12 years old. I called a big name plumbing and a/c company in Phoenix and received a staggering estimate. That's when I discovered that American Home Water also does air conditioning. My previous experience with American Home Water was when my water heater needed to be replaced on a weekend. They were great, so I gave them a call. Bill came out and confirmed that the compressor was on its last legs. (It actually quit 2 days later). Brad then called me to discuss a few options with corresponding estimates. It was a "no brainer" so Brad scheduled the work to fit my schedule. Darren and his 3M crew (Mario, Mack, and Matt) arrived right on time and spent the entire day performing the removal and installation of my furnace, a/c, and all the peripherals. They were very careful, especially in getting the old furnace out of the attic and hoisting the new unit through the small access in the ceiling. Darren is extremely experienced and honest. He kept me informed and involved every step of the way. You can trust this company unconditionally and good luck if you think you can get the same cost and quality from a competitor!

Initial phone call was handled by Paul...I must say he was awesome and needs to be cloned! He was very knowledgeable and a great communicator and ambassador for his company. Tech came out and replaced both elements and both thermostats in WH ...still not working. Suggested it may be bad curcuit breaker. (Best to spend $8 on a breaker, than the cost of a new WH). But wouldn't (or couldn't) do it ...wanted me to do it and get back to him on whether that worked. I spent 1/2 day researching how to do that without dying and ended up doing it ...but it wasn't the breaker....lost another day without hot water :( So I called and they came out the very next morning and replaced the tank. .. Angel was the tank replacement technician, and I watched (and learned) the whole process. Angel (like Paul) was awesome. I told him he should do the training for new employees at his company and he told me he already does! I was impressed at Angel's knowledge, safety, cleanliness of how he operated in my home...during and after, his troubleshooting before he started (just in case I didn't need a tank), and how he checked his work (soldering, function of tank, etc). Overall, in all my experiences with the different trades (I was a facilities manager for many years), Angel is in the top 5%. I would use this company again. The price was fair and the employees were awesome. My only criticism would be that it would have been nice to not have to personally replaced the breaker in the electrical panel. After completing the replacement of it...it was something that they could have done very quickly with little training by them. Something like telling the homeowner to check the box to have the proper replacement ready for them when they come, would make this whole experience awesome. But, I must say, it was very good.
