Description of Work: Deal was purchased on March 19. Called provider for service set up for April 11th. They offered a "window" of 11a-2p. Became concerned when at 145pm that no call came in to advise if they were going to be "late". Spoke with Bree who advised they had not heard from their rep as to if they were even in the office. She called rep and called me back to advise that he is indeed running late and would be here closer to 2. An hour later I called to advise I would like to cancel and request a refund and this is the most unprofessional and discourteous service I have ever had. Not even ONE call to me advising they were going to be this late. Then a half an hour later the rep shows up at my door with no concerns about anything. I advised him that the company needs to have a little better communication with each other. I spoke with Desiree who was a bit more empathtic to my concerns. I had blocked a window of 3 hrs and 5 hrs later services were still NOT rendered. The rep offered to still do the job but at that point I was so frustrated, and with his attitude, that I didnot want him or his company anywhere near my house. I understand businesses have issues with running late with a job, traffic, etc but it is just plain common courtesy to at least call to let a person know because all our time is valuable.

Description of Work: After making the initial appointment with the service provider, they had so many adders to the cost. I took off a day from work and was told they would show up between 11AM - 2PM. At 11AM I called to find out what time they were anticipating. I received a call back at noon stating that they had to cancel for the day. I took off a day at work. They told me they would have someone call to reschedule and work out an arrangement. Never heard from them again.

Description of Work: Greetings, I purchased the below deal, however, we have a two story house and the service provider sent out someone that was unable to work on second story windows. We've been in daily contact with the provider to try and resolve... with the hopes of even just having the screens made and put them in ourselves. However, it's been to no avail. The last contact we had with them they committed to calling us back again and never did. We'd like a refund of the amount spent and will not be using this deal. Description of Work: I purchased the big deal and tried to contact the company via e-mail. They didn't reply in two days' time, so I called them. They said they were really backed up and were scheduling two weeks out, which didn't fit with my needs because I was listing the home in less than two weeks. I found a different company on Angie's List that did the work wonderfully!

Description of Work: The appt was scheduled for 4/3, they could not do it because vehicle broke down and couldn't rescheduled for 2 wks

Description of Work: Bought a re screening deal. Item 1-It was not clear from the deal description that it was only for a new screen and a new screen frame would be $40 extra per window. Item 2-I decided it was ok and went ahead and scheduled a Friday noon-3 appointment. I took the day off from work Friday to be there. I received a call Thursday afternoon saying the provider truck broke down and they couldn't make it the next day-Friday for the appointment and when would i like to reschedule. I was not happy because I was not prepared to take another day off work and was told a Saturday appointment might be possible but they needed to check and would call me the next day-Friday. I did not receive a call Friday. I called Monday and was told they were still trying to get an ok for the Saturday appointment. I said I would wait until the next day - Tuesday - and if I did not get the Saturday appointment I would want to cancel the deal. I called back today Tuesday and was told they were still waiting on a response about the Saturday request they made. I then said I just wanted to cancel the deal. They cancelled my order and said to contact Angie's List for a refund. I do want to say that the person I spoke with at Americas Best each time was very polite and apologetic but there was just no ability to resolve the issue. At that point I just didn't want to proceed with the deal.

Description of Work: MADE THE DEAL, DID NOT ASK ABOUT THE TYPE OF SCREENS TO BE PROVIDED. COMPANY CALLED AND HAD TO CANCEL INSTALLATION DUE TO A TRUCK BREAKING DOWN. TRIED TO RESCHEDULE, BUT UNABLE TO COME UP WITH A SATIFACTORY DATE. DECIDED TO WAIT AND DO THIS PROJECT AT A LATER DATE.

Description of Work: No work done. They do not do windows. They are based in California and they seemed a little bit disorganized with scheduling for cleaning here in Arizona. I don't think that I would ever consider hiring them in the future.

Description of Work: Cancelled service because they didn't show for two appointments. the first appointment was cancelled two hours after they were scheduled to start. The second appt. was a no show and I called and told the appt. was made in error and they could reschedule and I cancelled the order for service with that company. The money was promptly refunded by Angie's.

Description of Work: I signed up for an advertised discount on window cleaning and paid at that time, as was required (August 2011). It took several emails and phone calls, over a two month period, to get them out here to perform the service. The last person I spoke to did apologize for the delay and wasn't sure how I had "slipped through the crack". I should have read the fine print for once they arrived, I learned it was for exterior windows only. The guys were very nice and professional, but after they left, I found several screens that had been so badly bent they have to be replaced. In their defense, I know they were having trouble getting some of them out, but I was not advised that damage had been done - it was discovered after their departure. I've since learned I could have had interior AND exterior windows cleaned for roughly the same price.
