Affordable Plumbing, Rooter and Water Heaters

No water leaks were found. Plumber gave us contact information for leak detection company and restoration company. No charges were assessed, which we appreciated.

This was an Angie's Big Deal. I bought this Big Deal for use on a vacant townhouse which needed some plumbing work prior to tenants moving in. I was pleased that there was no issue with me leaving a key for them to let themselves in to do the work. I had just given details of the drains which needed to be cleared and asked them to check the hot water heater for any signs of trouble. A few days later, I was able to make it over to the house. I could see they had been there based on some remnants left in the tub and sink area. However, they did not leave any paperwork at the house detailing what they had done. I did test the drains and they seemed to be running well. I have not had any issue with drainage since then. A week later, they did send me a notice of the work completed in the mail. I just would have preferred if they had also left papers at the house. However, did a great job and would use again.

After doing some research for plumbers to replace a water heater, I called Afforable and I am so glad I did. Larry is an experienced master. I had an ancient, 25 year old water heater that needed replacing and I was a little apprehensive about getting it out. Larry came out on time, took a look and assured me things would be fine, and they were. The price was right and the job was well done. It was a pleasure working with a real pro, thanks Larry!

Wow, not only did he get here in under 20 minutes at 10pm on a Friday but he was so nice polite and professional. We already know we want him back to help us finish our new bathroom install. He knew right away what the problem was and where and finished up so fast. We have an AHS contract and they couldn't have anyone come out until morning even though the house was flooding!

The repair went well. Upgrading our faucet was an unplanned project, but by adding in the Aquasuite Water Filtration System we feel like our kitchen is complete. We have wonderful, drinkable water right at the sink now. We'd only planned on the garbage disposal replacement, but our kitchen faucet was done in. Larry suggested the water filtration system by Moen and found a lovely faucet to match it, then got the work done in record time. We had a small leak after the repairs were finished and Larry came right back out to fix it. Larry is our go to guy for anything plumbing related. He carries what we need, is quick to respond, and always is willing to explain what he's doing. We have hopes we'll learn something from him and be able to handle simple repairs in the future on our own (sorry, Larry!). I love that Larry always offers options and alternative solutions to our repair problems and that he explains everything so well to us.

I checked with Angies List and found that Affordable Plumbing had great reviews. I called them, spoke to a very helpful representative who promptly scheduled a visit for repair. Our technician was knowledgeable and quick. He also made a repair on our running toilet during the visit. We will definitely call Affordable for any plumbing issue that we have in the future. My husband and I had the best intentions of installing a new toilet and vanity in our front bathroom and using our Angie's List coupon to have the plumber come out and hook up the lines. Time passed and before you knew it...we were looking at four guests arriving in two days for a three day stay! I, of course, panicked and called Affordable Plumbing. William came out the same day. He was the calm in the center of this storm. He quickly and efficiently installed the new toilet ...which, although new, was missing a part (on his truck, no added delay). He did not just hook up the water to the new vanity...he leveled it, set the sink, installed the faucet and went above and beyond in making sure the sink fit was tight (this was a former buffet cabinet turned bathroom vanity). When he finished, I asked him if I could pay him to stay for another job. He said that he still had time left on the two-hour coupon and completed the following: He replaced the old water turn-off valve below our front yard water spigot. He also eliminated the backflow valve for a retired sprinkler system by disconnecting it from the water and cutting and removing the useless piping. I then asked William if he worked on sprinklers for a future job and he advised that Affordable Plumbing did not provide those services, but gave me the name and phone number of someone he trusted. A recommendation by someone with that kind of a work ethic certainly goes a long way in my book and we will be calling this gentleman in the near future. All in all, after the 2-hour coupon, the price for the parts came to $36.10. Our company was extremely impressed with the bathroom. And my husband, who was expected to install the toilet that night after work (we had given up on the idea that our guests would have a sink this visit), was absolutely jubilant to see the end result. We are agreed that we will be contacting Affordable Plumbing for our next project... gutting the second bathroom...new toilet, vanity, toilet and shower! A++

Late on Saturday afternoon our garbage disposal was backing up. Upon further investigation I found it was leaking from the top and bottom. After trying to clear the leak and clean it, but no success I determined it had died. I called three different plumbing business to get quotes and when they could schedule time to replace it. I call and spoke with Larry who took the time to discuss what had happened and the type of replacement disposals they had. I was impressed with his candor about the different types they offer compared to what is installed in a home by the builder. Has able to schedule time to come out to my home the next morning at 9:00 AM on a Sunday. Larry arrived on time, showed me how to remove the garbage disposal. He explained what had failed on the unit the home builder installed (it was 13 year old) and promptly replaced it with a new unit. He tested it to make sure it worked well and there was no leak as well as cleaned up the work area. He also answered my questions about dishwashers and their replacement cost. In all, Larry took his time explain about the replacement process and other question that I had to me, and was completed able to complete the job in 45 minutes.

He went above and beyond for me. Went to get a part he did not have and explained everything as he went along. Professional yet personable. Stayed longer to get everything done.

I realized I had a leak about 6:30 pm and called them right away they were able to get someone out the next day. I had a small pin size leak in one of the pipes and they were able to fix it within an hour. The owner of the company (Larry) showed me where the leak was and explained what he needed to fix. I was very impressed with them, very professional and would recommend them.

The company was not willing to travel to the far west valley, White Tank Mountains area, to service our plumbing when I called.

My water heater started leaking and it is three years old but was replaced and overall warranty expired. I was not very happy with the original guy (Builders Company) so I looked at Angies?s list can called Larry. They gave me a quote over the phone $880 which includes $75 off for member of Anige?s list. His step son came in first and look at heater. He said, nothing can be done since it is leaking from bottom and must be replaced. Larry came in within an hour and installed new heater. I asked him if he can look at my master bed room shower which has water flow problem. He looked at it and said it need new cartage. As it turn out the cartage got struck since builder has broken screw inside and Moven tool wouldn?t work to pull it out. It took them 30 min to take it out but he will only charge $30 for part and no labor which was nice. As it turn out new heater also started leaking at 7 PM. I called Larry?s wife, she said they will come first thing next day morning and take care of it. They came next day 9 AM and installed another heater free of charge. As of now it is working fine. Overall, I am very happy with service.

I purchased a "Deal" on Angie's List. $99 for one hour of plumbing services. I contacted the provider and they contacted my renter to schedule an appointment for service. The provider called me once the problem was diagnosed and provided me witht the cost to repair. The kitchen faucet was old and worn out; it needed to be replaced. The plumber advised he had a new unit in his truck -- with the $99.00 discount, the balance would be approximately $75.00. I authorized the work and my renter was happy. The only MINOR problem I had was getting an invoice via e-mail for tax purposes. It took a little longer than I would have liked, but I did receive the invoice. Other than that, everything was great!

It was OK, the reason the garbage disposal was broken was ended up being electrical and not plumbing but at least the plumber was able to determine that.

I wasn't thrilled with the two bathroom faucets. I left messages for the company to let them know there was a problem and it actually took over a week to get them to recognize there really was a problem. The owner came out and tried to figure out what was wrong himself so I give him credit for that but in the end I wound up calling Price Feister and got instructions over the phone on what to do. Kind of surprised that it led to this, me fixing it myself. The handles are still not lined up and for someone who is pretty anal about things like that, it still irritates me but in the whole scheme of things, not a big deal. Overall, I probably should have just gone with Lowe's who sold me them.

We remodeled a rent home we had owned for a couple of years to live in. The tenants had poured something hot down the old disposal and melted seals. The old disposal leaked. We had it removed and thought we'd go back to the "old" way -- not having a disposal. After a few weeks of not having one, we decided to have a new one put in. I purchased the disposal after researching the best bang for the buck and had it installed.
