Description of Work: She came out and changed the cords, that open and close the blinds, in all of my house.

+ -1 moreCindy and her son own the business and that is who you actually deal with, which I really like. They both were very personable and pleasant. You can either drop off your blinds or they can come to your house for a travel fee. I dropped mine off as I live close by. Cindy was flexible for me to come by the same day. I was also able to pick it up later in the day, restrung and washed! I was very pleased. I highly recommend

Description of Work: Jason was here two times. We had several repairs to our Hunter Douglass window treatments. We had had some work done previously that had not been done properly which he corrected. That was the first visit. He had to order new hardware for the family room slider. The railing at the top was destroyed by our cat getting behind the slider. Jason found the railing, even though it is no longer made. In our bedroom a gear? never worked properly and he managed to get the part at no cost to us, either in installation or price of the product. He is excellent in his skill and was always, thoughtful, prompt and courteous. We believe the cost was high but not his fault. The railing was $475 and that seemed excessive. But to replace the whole works would have been around $2500. All in all, we recommend Affordable Blinds and would use them again.

+ -1 moreI left a message concerning the needed repair. Jason returned my call promptly (the same day.) An appointment was set the same week, in spite of this being a busy time, right before Thanksgiving. Jason is very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He was kind and patient in showing us how we could better operate our shutters to avoid future damage. Jason offered us options of either ordering new slats or repairing the existing broken ones. He repaired the four broken slats and repositioned them so that the repair work would not show. His repair was much cheaper than ordering and color matching brand new slats. We would use this company again in a heartbeat!
Description of Work: Repaired 4 broken slats of a plantation shutter. Also repaired small hardware in another shuttered door.

Description of Work: We had 6 non-operating blinds, some quite large. Jason came in, after calling us to say he would be 30' late, evaluated our blinds, told us how old they were, wht they were made of, made repair and care suggestions, then proceded to re-string, repair and replace Were the part not a precise match, he asked our permission to use the replacements (they were close enough).

Jason (son) phoned the day of our appointment to advise his approx arrival time. He recommended the most cost effective repair and repaired the shutters on site. The repairs are unnoticeable. I had anticipated that the shutters would have to be taken down and repaired at the shop...............so I was really happy that that was not necessary. GREAT JOB.

Description of Work: Unable to get one of our blinds to work properly after a winter tenant, I tried to force something and ended up unable to get the blind to work. Made an appointment for Affordable Blind Services for a couple of days later and Cindy and Jason both turned up, asessed the situation and took measurements just in case we would have to order a new blind. Shortly Jason was able to fix the problem to make the blind repair perfectly and they were paid and on their way to their next call within about 20 minutes! Very lovely lady and her very sweet and competent son!

+ -1 moreWe phoned Affordable Blind Services this morning at 9 a.m. to repair a rather large Hunter Douglas blind in our kitchen that stopped working. The friendly lady Cindy, answered the phone and made a same day appointment for us at 1 p.m. Jason Keith arrived promptly at 1 p.m., and repaired our blind while we watched. Besides being punctual, Jason was professional, clean, friendly, meticulous, and knowledgeable. He advised us that he needed to restring our blind, and within one hour he was finished. Custom blinds are an investment, so I highly recommend the services of this company. I felt their Trip Charge ($55) and Restring service ($45) was very reasonable, for this large window. They also permit you to drop off your blinds for repair as well (by appointment), if you want to save the trip charge. In our case, this was a large window, and a bit difficult to access. Well worth the $100.
Description of Work: In home blind repair, for a large Hunter Douglas custom blind that was broken. Technician came to home, removed the blind and repaired on the spot.
