+ -1 moreIn the beginning, everyone was very nice, helpful and timely in taking the $75 to get the job started. After the initial estimate was complete, the workers never showed up to complete work on agreed dates. Finally after more than two months, the phone appears to be disconnected and work was never completed. I will be submitting inquiry into AZ ROC and BBB for further investigation.
Description of Work: Charged $75 deposit for estimate on block fence repair where a section of my fence had come down. The request and deposit was supposed to be for work on a small section of a block fence. After paying deposit and agreeing to finish the work according to the estimate, company did not complete the job and is no longer reachable at the numbers listed on Angie's List or in the phone book. Arizona licenses are currently showing as suspended on the AZ contractors website.

+ -1 moreInitial contact was prompt and Leonard provided an estimate. Before contract signing Melissa came by for a final discussion and several changes were made. Throughout the two week process communications were VERY spotty. There were several delays (inspector and gate mfg) that were not Advance Fence's fault, these were areas where Melissa and staff did not properly communicate. The locks on the gates were installed with the screws on the outside which we ended up fixing ourselves. Workers on the job site lacked respect for our property and left trash from meals and other items not related to construction. There was some tension regarding the final payment due to lack of payment breakdown on the contract and communications between Melissa and John (her husband and foreman). At time of final payment I had a discussion with Melissa about the problems and she was receptive and appreciative of my input. The quality of the work was excellent and has a 10 year warranty. We would use them again.
Description of Work: We had 310 feet of wooden fence removed and 340 feet of block fence installed. Included in this were two metal gates with wooden slats. The gates had door style knobs (without key locks) and a separate deadbolt lock. The gates were 1 - 10' (4' & 6') in the back and a 4' in the front. The cost included the removal of the fence, delivery charges, acquisition of the building permit, gates, wooden slats and installation of knobs and locks. At time of contract signing a 50% deposit was required although the website stated no payment until the job is completed to the customers satisfaction. Removal of three trees were not included. Advance Fence was the ONLY company we contacted that would come out to provide an estimate. Furthermore several of the other businesses didn't return our calls.

+ 0 moreTook slightly longer than originally estimated, but job appears to have been done in a high quality fashion. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They replaced the small section of block wall between the gate and the house, and installed a new wrought iron / wood gate (residential size).

+ -1 moreTHE MANAGER AND EMPLOYEES WERE VERY CONCERNED ABOUT US AS CUSTOMERS. THEY ACCIDENTALLY DESTROYED ONE OF OUR TREES AND THE MANAGER DIDN'T QUESTION WHAT HAPPENED HE AGREED IMMEDIATELY TO PAY FOR IT, AND HE DID.
Description of Work: THIS COMPANY EXTENDED A 6-FOOT WALL FROM BACK-TO-FRONT AND REPLACED THE ORIGINAL OUTSIDE GATE WITH A RV GATE. THE WAS A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB. NO ADJUSTMENTS HAVE HAD TO BE MADE.
