 + -1 moreGiven the lack of a return phone call on my first attempt, the fact that the company did not keep a scheduled appointment (and never called to apologize), AND the fact that they offered a quote for the job, site unseen, I can't justify anything but a failing grade.
Description of Work: I called during business hours to request a bid for insulation work at my home, and was told the person I needed to speak with was outside but would call me back when he returned. I did not get a call. Ten days later I called again and spoke to a man who offered me a quote over the phone based only on the square footage of my home. I asked that someone come to the house to confirm the scope of the job and a proper price, and a visit was scheduled for one week out. They did not show up, so they're off MY list.

 + -1 moreADOBE INSULATION WAS HIRED TO RE-INSULATE OUR ATTIC ON OUR REMODEL. THEY WERE VERY TIMELY IN THEIR ARRIVAL. THE SERVICEMAN EXPLAINED EVERYTHING IN FULL DETAIL AS WELL AS LEAVING PROPER PAPERWORK (WARRANTIES, ETC.)VERY COMPETITIVE PRICES. COURTEOUS STAFF.
Description of Work: BRING ATTIC UP TO R-38. LEVEL OUT AND FILL IN ALL LOW SPOTS.

 + -1 moreVERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE DURING INITIAL PHONE CALL AND SCHEDULING. SCHEDULED THE WORK RIGHT AWAY. THE WORKERS WERE 40 MIN LATE FOR THE APPT. (WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH ON TIME FOR THIS TOWN!). THEY EXPERIENCED EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS SO THE JOB TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED. THEY DID APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. OVERALL A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. I CAN'T COMMENT ON PRICE SINCE WE DIDN'T GET COMPETITIVE BIDS.

 + -1 moreWHEN THEY WERE INITIALLY PURSUING THE WORK, THEY WERE ON TIME. AFTER THE WORK WAS TO START, THEY DID NOT SHOW UP UNTIL 4:00, WITH NO CALL. I MADE A PHONE CALL AND IT STILL TOOK THAT LONG FOR THEM TO COME. THERE WERE 4 DAMAGED PIECES OF PLYWOOD AND THEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HE WAS NOT GOING TO REPLACE THE WOOD AND WAS GOING TO INSTALL THE SHINGLES OVER THE BAD WOOD. MY SON HAPPENED TO BE HERE AND INSISTED THAT THE WOOD BE REPLACED FIRST. WE HAD OTHER WORK THAT WE WANTED TO USE THEM FOR, BUT THEY DID NOT PURSUE THAT. THEY CLEANED UP AND LEFT. THEIR CLEAN UP WAS ADEQUATE. THE CREW WAS POLITE AND THEY DID THEIR WORK EXPEDIENTLY. THE FOREMAN WAS VERY GOOD.
Description of Work: THEY REPAIRED AN AREA OF MY ROOF.

 + -1 moreADOBE INSULATION UNDERSTOOD WELL THE REQUIREMENTS TO PROPERLY INSULATE A HOUSE. THIS NOT ONLY INCLUDED R-FACTOR, BUT AIR INFILTRATION ISSUES. THE WALL INSULATION JOB WAS ESPECIALLY DONE WELL.
Description of Work: INSULATED A HOME USING BLOWN AND BAT INSULATION. THIS INCLUDED WALLS AND CEILING AREAS.

We are also General Contractors which means that we can do just about any project "in house", but if we can't, we have a 20 year history of working with great sub-contractors who can get the job done right.
