ABSOLUTE SECURITY SYSTEMS

You think you are safe and being monitored by Absolute Security System, think again. We purchased what we believed to be a comprehensive security system from (*** - even the name suggests you're not getting what you paid for), spending over $1000 to purchase the system. We we told that they were better than other monitoring companies because their monitoring company was local and new Phoenix, unlike the national companies who wouldn't understand the city and could mess up a dispatch. Local just means you're not being monitored and when you call it takes over a week to receive a call back and then the owner calling you back is just rude. More on that later. . . When we purchased the system we were told that there were safeguards against having the power cut to the unit, and if the power was cut, the alarm company would notify you. That is simply not the case. First, we recently noticed that our motion sensors were not setting off the alarm, or there was a large delay and a lot of required movement before the sensor would trip the alarm. So, we decided to see what would happen if we disconnected power to the unit. With no power to the unit, we never received a call to see if we were okay. So, what monitoring. I suspect that while we've been religiously paying our monitoring payment (he'd call the moment there was an issue with the auto draft, but not call back when you leave a message), our monitoring actually stopped years ago. When we first purchased the unit, any time we would trip the alarm, we would get a call immediately to see if we were okay. We have not received a call in at least 3 years, even though the alarm was tripped and it took a while for us to get to the unit to shut off the unit. I cannot stress enough that I truly believe they stopped monitoring us long ago and continued to charge us without providing a service. When we inquired about the monitoring, he said it was our job to regularly check on the status of the monitoring. What? Isn't that what we're paying him for? In early August, we called to cancel the service as we had decided to go with a new monitoring company. We received a voicemail stating that the office was closed for 2 weeks. What? There's nobody to cancel our service or address our concerns. We had to wait for the owner to get back into town. When he called me back, and we asked to cancel our service (for while we had just been charged a quarterly monitoring payment), he was rude and belligerent. I inquired about our refund and he said he would get back with me and hung up on me. I had to call a week later to again inquire about the refund, and again he said he would get back with me, he didn't. I called again today and he stated we were not due a refund, even though we canceled our "service" 5 days after being charged for the next quarter of monitoring. I would not do business with this crook as he just takes your money, makes you think you are safe, and does not provide you with anything except a false piece of mind. After this review, would you trust your family's safety with this crook? I've moved on, you should too. P.S. I was shocked to see the positive reviews of ***, you should check out Yelp for more on how shady this company is.

THIS COMPANY HAS PROVEN ITS EXPERTISE AND HONESTY THROUGH VARIOUS PAST JOBS AND THEREFORE COMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THEY WERE ABLE TO CONVERT A USELESS, POORLY INSTALLED SYSTEM THAT CAME WITH THE HOUSE INTO AN EFFICIENT WORKING ONE. UPON SEEING THE MISWIRING, ETC., THEY WORKED WITH US TO SEE IF WE COULD GET SOME OR ALL THE PROBLEMS COVERED BY THE INSTALLING COMPANY OR BUILDER. WHEN THAT AMOUNTED TO NOTHING, THEY WORKED WITH US ON THE PRICE TO TRY TO MAKE THIS LARGE JOB MORE AFFORDABLE AND DIDN'T CHARGE US EXTRA WHEN THE JOB TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED.
