rage Door Service to anyone needing really professional help with their garage door.

Called and was able to schedule a quick appointment. They were professional, ON time and I feel, went above and beyond the service they were orginally scheduled to perform (only rollers changed). The service tech asked how everything else was running and I told him I was having an issue with the garage door sensor. He peformed the roller changed AND then checked the sensor. He determined the sensor was defective and replaced both under warrentee. The garage door opener was not even installd by them and was less than 6 months old. I'm confident in their quality of work and will use their services in the future.

Came out replace the existing garage door opener prior to our moving into our recently-purchased home. The tech showed up on time and performed the service as requested. Turned out that we also needed to replace the rollers, which he did at a discounted price. My wife was home at the time of service and said the technician was professional and thoroughly explained the additional services necessary.

I originally signed up for the $40 25-point inspection, but decided to add in a new set of springs and some other parts for the system. Overall I was pleased with the service. Unfortunately they arrived about an hour outside of the 10am to 12pm timeframe. However, I was called at 1130 to let me know that they were running late. It wasn't a bit deal for me because I had the day off. I would use them again.

it went great. They showed up on time, completed the work quickly and completely. They were very courteous and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to use them again and I will recommend them to others.

The repairman arrived on time and was very helpful telling me what needed to be done and my options. He did warn me that it would be as expensive as a new door but it was a better choice as I had a very substantial door.. He kept me up to date as the repairs were done. I am very happy with the result.

I called A1 Garage Door Service Company to have a broken balance spring replaced. The Company has been advertising in all the mailers lately and has an A rating with Angies list. The technician advised that the Wayne Dalton spring on my door could not be replaced because they are no longer in business and there are no parts available in the Valley. He said that the entire torsion system had to be converted. A price of about $600 was mentioned and $175 for a new opener. The opener price was a bargain, but, the torsion conversion seemed a little high. I told the technician to go ahead with the installation. The final cost was was a surprise at $800 for the conversion and $284 for the opener. I was told that the opener coupon that I had, showed $285 and that was the price. OK, paid the bill to get back in business. The next day, I released the opener for manual operation and the door flew up. I expected the door to be balanced as required in the opener installation manual. This ordeal was disappointing and I did not want A1 Garage Service to do any more work for me. I called Advanced Garage Door Service, a company that has a "Super Service Award" with Angies list, to adjust the spring. The technician said the wrong size spring was used and the spring needed to be changed in order to be adusted properly. Being so far out of adjustment was creating considerable stress on the door and could buckle and break the door. I had the spring replaced with a proper size spring and it is balanced. As a side note, the shaft was bent; but, still works. The parts are not good quality. It was noticed the safety reversing sensors for the opener were located about 10 inches from the floor. The installation manual specifies that the sensors be 6 inches maximum from the floor. This was corrected by Advanced Garage Door. Update 8/23/2012 - I was contacted by A1 Garage Door Service and offered $200 for the two springs that were not appropriate for my door and as a settlement for my inconvenience. I understand that the technician that performed the service is no longer working for A1 Garage Door Service. I changed the ratings to reflect my new experience with the company. Obviously the Company wants to improve their image from a bad experience with one employee. I do no know what quality or professionalism to expect.from their present 15 technicians; therefore, I show N/A for those ratings.

They were much more responsive than the other companies that I was trying to use for installation. They seemed to know the business and they came out and had it done. Their sales person was not as crisp as he could have been but his installation person was. The sales person didn't anticipate the garage door would work but the service person who came to install it went out got the right stuff and came back and installed it. He stayed late while it was getting done.
