Trevor performed all the work - he was professional, efficient, and really did a nice job. The garage door dates to the 1970s and is extremely heavy. The new opener, plus the tune up work Trevor performed, was terrific. I would use A1 Garage Door Service again. Thank you!

To his credit, the garage door technician arrived 30 minutes early and we went to the garage to evaluate what work needed to be completed. I pointed out where the carriage assembly failed and the technician began to check the operation of the door manually. He immediately suggested that the builder had used an inferior grade spring for the garage door and also suggested that I needed rollers with extra long shafts in case the door ever came off the track. The technician took a photograph of the worn out carriage assembly and said he would have to check on getting the part and quoted me a price for the repair. As a point of order, I find it interesting he had extra long roller shafts on his truck ready to install but no carriage assembly. 24 and then 48 hours passed and no follow up call from the technician or A1 Garage Door Service. I made a follow up call and was told the technician would return my call. I find it difficult to believe that such a part would not be readily available either on the service vehicle and or in company's supply room. This makes about as much sense as a fire engine showing up at a building fire without any fire hose. I should also point out that after about a one minute Google search, I was able to identify the needed parts for my garage door. Angie, I'd like my payment back: The service I wanted was not available; I hired A1 Garage Door Service to provide a specific service, not to be talked into what I determine to be unnecessary work I was able to troubleshoot my own problem. I was able to identify he necessary parts in one minute to complete the repairs. A1 Garage Door Service only responded to me as a customer when I prompted them. Should A1 Garage Door Service call back ready with the parts, I will them they are fired. I proudly worked in a profession where actions were accountable and apologies for failure were useless. I have no use A1 Garage Door Service.

Paul came over within the time frame, and inspected the new garage door. Originally, we just wanted a tune-up for the garage door since our home inspector suggested it and we found a coupon for it. He was very to the point and straight up with me which is nice because I was a little sleepy that morning. He said in the future, we'd need new springs because the ones on there at the moment were wrong, and the track wheels looked pretty beaten up and dry-rotted. Since we just moved in, I opted for adding new wheels only because he said we could get away with the springs for 4-6 years, and we needed to budget our money until we completely settled down. I had my dog running around the place, and he was really nice about it. Overall, I highly recommend because he was fast, did a great job tuning the door, and was very professional and experienced. In the future, I do plan on calling them again to replace the springs once we've saved up the money!

Got a mixed review of communication for install. This was for replacement of a door and motor on a rental house, so timing and response were critical due to the tenants needing a garage door that worked. The technician that came out was prompt, gave me a price and explained the process of setting up the garage door install. The door motor was not working so getting it completed in a timely manner was crucial. Well, that's where the communication stopped. I waited 4 days and didn't hear anything, so I called back to find out what was the problem. The install department at A1 asked me who I was, and when did someone come out, and what kind of bid or service did they quote. My response was 'don't they work for you and did that person give you the details'. After another day of finding me in there system, I received a call back that the tech that had supplied the quote didn't give the paperwork to the office and they still wanted the details of the quote. Another day went by and they finally got ahold of the tech who gave A1 the details of my quote. Finally, that evening I got a call back with a time to complete the door motor install. All they had open was a Saturday morning at 7:00 am. Another 4 days passed. Saturday morning at 7:00 am came, and still no word of the installer. I called the office and the tech was not answering the phone. He finally showed up and completed the install. I have to give A1 kudos for a nice door install. But when he finished, I noticed that the rollers were stock and not what I was promised. He looked at invoice and agreed, that premium rollers were to be installed. He had 4 on his truck, which he installed, and came back later to replace the other stock rollers. Overall, the installation was top notch, but the process of getting it installed was aggravating and delayed so that the tenants were not happy with not showing up on time to install or communication w/ office. I thought I would pass on the details of the install for your reference

Went very well in a timely and professional manner. Received call letting us know exactly when tech would arrive. Tech adhered to company protocol. Happy with results. Would use and recommend company in the future.

Exceptional service, price, professionalism and installation. Our old garage door broke. I emailed A1 on a Friday late afternoon. Saturday morning the company called me to state that another company representative would call to give me a quote on a replacement door and opener. Received a call back as promised. The representative was helpful, knowledgeable, professional. I checked with 4 other garage door replacement options. Nobody else was even close to the cost A1 quoted. They had a door in stock, an installer opening on Tuesday the next week and assured me that the door would be completed on Tuesday. All true. Todd, the installer was on time, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. My experience with A1 Garage Door Service was exceptional. I highly recommend them.

The company called quickly to set up my appointment. They were very flexible, showed up on time, and were courteous. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely use this company again.

A1 Garage is the perfect example of why I joined Angie's list. They came highly rated and did not disappoint. Customer service is very important to them and it shows. They did two separate jobs for me. They fixed a broken sprocket on an old garage door opener, and replaced the rollers on the garage door. The tech was prompt, worked around my schedule and did a great job. I was so happy with their work that when my second garage door opener stopped working I called them again, they came out that night to take a look at it. Told me it needed to be replaced, and a couple days later it was all done, and works great! So fast, friendly, and good at what they do! I had a question about my bill, and asked my tech Dave about it, he told me to call and ask for Adam and he would be able to go over my bill with me. Adam was very fast to respond back to my call, and explained my original invoice to me in detail. After feeling satisfied with his explanation, he went a step further and offered me a $75 coupon towards my bill, and told me he would refund my debit card in that amount. I was totally blown away that he would go out of his way to save me money like that when he had no obligation to do so. Truly great customer service at it's finest. I wish all companies I do business with were this honest and professional. Thanks everyone down at A1!

In the early afternoon we came home closed the garage door and there was what sounded like a bomb going off in my home. I called several garage door companies two of which could come out in between 2 to 5 hours. When I called A1 they had a technician in the area. He was here in about 15 minutes and determined what had happened which was a broken spring. He explained that the original home builder had done as little as possible when installing the door and used the cheapest products. After explaining my options and prices he left it up to us as to what we wanted to do. There was no pressure to have us purchase more that we needed, just an explanation as to what might be best. The technician was Ed. Johanknecht and he is extremely professional.

good he was done in 2 hours. and I didn't hsve to move too much in my over stuffed garage for him to fix the door. It's much more quieter and works great.

Technician (Danny) called ahead to confirm when he would arrive, which was within time window originally stated. Technician was cordial and professional. After work was completed, technician explained everything he had done, and educated us on details related to the garage door and door opener. We were very satisfied with the work completed, and appreciated the additional information provided.

Overall service was fine. I felt scheduling and trying to work with the office seemed more frustrating than how it should have been. As for if I'd use them again. I would be hesitant. The tech that serviced my garage door was on time, if not a little early and well knowledgeable of his duties. Maybe if they had an all automated system for scheduling?

We called them, they came on time the very next day. They made the repair without issues.

The installation went fine on 12/9/2013. However, we had 3 hinges break on the door 1 and 1/2 years later. I called for service and was told they would be here on 10/31/2015 at 8 am. They did not show up. I called at 8:30 am and 9 am. They were still a no show. They have the worst service I have ever seen.

Great job. I have used A1 several times when I have had garage door issues...and every time they due quality at a good price. I highly recommend A1 and will use them again if needed.

Our technician, Danny, was polite and when he couldn't arrive on time, he respectfully called ahead of his scheduled time and gave an ETA of when he would be able to be at our home. He called a second time to say he was about 5 minutes out and would be here soon. We were very pleased with his professionalism and expertise. He taught us about garage door springs and we were happy to learn the care and maintenance of the door. He went right to work and completed the job. We would definitely call this company again.

On the first visit the vendor did a bait and switch on me. I ended up paying more than 200 dollars for just a garage door control pad. The vendor acted like he was trying to save me money. In reality he was just maximizing his profit margin. I was taken for a sucker because I was not expecting this type of behavior from an Angies List recommended vendor. In any event, I had the vendor come back a week later to fulfill the Angies List deal. My initial 200 dollar expense was a total loss, except for the lesson I learned.

Couldn't open the garage door, they first said they could be out on Tuesday, but I let them know we would like it to be earlier if possible. They called the next morning, saying they had an opening on Monday. The repairman was professional and got the job done quickly and did a great job.

I thought that the tune-up went well until they left and the same noise problem was still there. I hired another garage door company, Arizona's Garage Door Doctor, and their technician did a better tune-up and identified the problem, which was hot paint from the sun on the weather stripping that was causing the door to stick before opening. The garage door is now quiet and smooth.

Excellent job by these guys! The technician, Danny, replaced the springs and rollers on my garage door and it works like a brand new door now. Danny was fast and professional! Would definitely use this company again.

Had a coupon for $89 door tuneup and scheduled service for 8/6/15. Got a call from office on 8/6 saying tech had an emergency and requested re-schedule for 8/7. I agreed. Tech arrived on time and completed work. Presented me will bill for 108.07 which included a fuel surcharge of $12.95 and something called CRF which was explained as tax. I refused to pay the fuel surcharge as I confirmed the total charge at the time I placed the order. Still not sure if the other charge is valid. Tech apologized for the delay in meeting the orginal appointment. Said that his company overbooked him.

I purchased a garage door spring replacement off of Angies List Big deal-the scheduled and provided the services as described on the voucher. They recommended other services but were polite when I declined them. Quality work was completed and with professionalism. I would recommend them.
