I was very disappointed with the experience I had with Touch of Glass. I recently replaced the windows in my condo and set up to have three companies come out and give me an estimate. I scheduled the appointment with Tom about 4 weeks in advance and called him the day before to confirm. Everything seemed fine. The day of the appointment, Tom called and asked if he could come by early as he was in the area. I appreciated the call but informed him that I had another appointment with one of the other companies that was about to start but I would call him as soon as we were done. The two other companies were great. The salesmen showed up with samples of their products, brochures with information and spent time giving me suggestions. Tom was not prepared at all. As soon as I was done with the second company, I called Tom and he came right over. I will say he was punctual. He walked in made a few quick measurements and walked out the door in less than 5 minutes. I was so stunned it took me a few seconds to ask, as he was leaving, if he had any information on the brand of windows that he sold, samples or any information what so ever. He said no and walked out. He never even had the professionalism to send me an estimate or let me know that he did not plan on providing one. It was as if he was not interested in my business. That is fine, but follow up to let me know is the right thing to do. The sad thing is, my neighbor had used them for her window replacement and gave me their name. I was going to go with them but wanted to get a few estimates first. Needless to say, I used a more professional and responsible company.

I made several calls to replace this mirror. Other companies would not give an estimate, or the estimate was unreasonable. Touch of Glass came in at estimate, did a great job, were very efficient, and very courteous.

I called Tom and asked him to quote options for a new shower door. He came over and measured the job. It took a while to get quotes from him, but his work was near the end of a much larger job, so it was not a problem. We discussed them and I ended up selecting one that was not on his list, but was available. Between the time of order and of installation, I added the mirror replacement to the order. He took handled both tasks in a timely manner.
Description of Work: Tom installed a bypass shower door enclosure. He also replaced a large mirror on a closet door.

It went very well overall and I was pleased!
Description of Work: Mirror was removed from my bathroom wall and taken to their shop for repair. My mirror has a beveled glass mirror frame which had deteriorated (due to my poor cleaning method), so it had to be removed and replaced along the bottom. They fixed the mirror frame and brought it back and hung it for us properly. They had made the mirror for us to order about 16 years previously and it is just beautiful. I have had many compliments on it! I lost touch when they moved and was happy to find them again through Angie's list. I would recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again!

I needed some glass cut for three table tops and Touch of Glass did an excellent job and were able to complete the job in a short time frame when my wife told me we needed the tables done tomorrow due to company coming. They were very helpful and responsive. Very friendly people and a nice shop. I would definitely use Touch of Glass again in the future.

We purchased a very nice wood and glass curios cabinet with glass shelves. We are using it for my wife's salt and pepper shakers collection, but it had only 4 shelves. I took a shelf to Touch of Glass and they were able to make 6 shelves for us for $60.00 total. The furniture manufacturer provided us with 24 shelf holders (4 per shelf) gratis; did not even charge for shipping. There is no obvious difference between the original shelves and the 6 they made. They were friendly and gave me an accurate estimate of the cost. It took a little longer than originally stated before they were ready, but the result was perfect. The results exceeded my expectations.

They weren’t too great; they are the first company on Angie’s List that I’ve had trouble with. The lining of the glass that they replaced it with didn’t match the other side. By the time they finished everything and got it right, it was two months. They kept having the order new pieces to get the right lining. In one case, they had the glass on the truck for two weeks before they called me. They said at the end that they would refund my money because it was taking so long but no one had heard anything about that when I asked. My gut tells me that they are used to bigger jobs and my job wasn’t all that important to them. After I checked around, I thought the price was fair and in the end, I got what I needed.

I wouldn't use them again. They came out and put in a shower door and the guy didn't have the handle for it with him so he said I will bring it right back out and two month later they weren't returning my calls. So, there was a hole in the shower door and no handle. It took me like five contacts before they finally mailed me the piece. They were also very expensive. The actual work they did was fine but the responsiveness was bad. They didn’t finish the work as they promised which was not good. However, the quality was excellent. As for punctuality, when they did the original job they did it when they said they would but then they didn't follow up to do what they said they would do. The guy that came out to put in the shower door looked like a homeless person. He had tattoos and things pierced and didn’t have a full set of teeth. He also had long hair which was kind scruffy looking. It really surprised me because they are not cheap. The salesman was clean cut but the installer was sort of frightening.

Also doing business as "A Touch of Glass". Tom and the office was very easy to work with from start to finish, including estimate, installation, and payment. "B" on professionalism due to the following very minor issues: a few metal shavings on floor, clear caulk slightly smeared on frame in places on interior (not obvious), and caulk didn't quite cover the whole frame-stall seam in 1 or 2 very tiny places. I'm very picky however.
Description of Work: Removed the frame from old shower enclosure, replaced with new shower enclosure glass & frame. Door with panel and 90 deg. half-wall. Glass had "rain" pattern. Finished installation is very attractive.

It went very well. There was a problem with one window not being included in the first delivery, but they made it right within a couple of weeks. The owner showed up in response to my request about whether they made shower doors. He was very excited, saying that shower doors were a specialty for them. He did a beautiful job. In the second photo below, notice the way he managed to integrate the level of the hinge into the design of the shower.
Description of Work: Dynamic replaced 6 large 2-paned windows that had failed (seal broken so moisture got between panes). They also- and this is the best part- built a beautiful shower door for our newly remodeled shower (that price alone was $871).

Their price was on par with others, but the others were ready to charge $200 for installation. We opted for Dynamic Mirror and Glass. We worked with Tom, who was knowledgeable and very responsive. They had to order the window. It arrived in about a week as Tom had predicted. The install went without a hitch.
Description of Work: We had a large dual-paned panel of a window replaced in our living room. It had "failed" and had moisture between the panes which never dried out. The panel was located in an awkward position on the second story of out split level home.

A guy was waiting for us at the rental house before the appointment time. Very pleasant. He put down some measurement on a tablet sheet. We asked if he had some samples of windows. He didn't but told us to go down to their showroom not too far from the rental house. We went to the showroom but it was a very small and messy office, not a showroom. A guy who was there didn't appear to know much about windows. He said he had to contact the manufacturer to get the estimate. So we didn't accomplish much there at all. More than a week later, they called with the estimate, but we had already placed an order through another company.

I got Dynamic Mirror's name from Angie's List. They came out and took measurements. We discussed how we wanted the door to swing and look, and Tom called back with a price. I did not compare pricing because I knew about what the door would cost (thick glass is expensive!) and this was a little less than I thought it would be. They installed it yesterday and it looks perfect. No problems at all, and I would highly recommend this company.

Excellent! Their pricing is great and they performed the work exactly when they said they would. (And at a much shorter lead time than the competition) Great communication. I am very picky and was thrilled with their installation - Very detailed and clean, and the miters and caulking on the install looks perfect. Highly recommended!

I RECEIVED TWO QUOTES FROM TOM AT DYNAMIC MIRROR AND TOLD HIM I WANTED TO GO AHEAD WITH THE WINDOW REPLACEMENT. GOT BACK TO ME QUICKLY WITH A QUOTE. WORKERS WHO CAME DID THEIR JOB EFFICIENTLY AND WELL, CLEANED UP COMPLETELY, INCLUDING VACUUMING INSIDE, AND EXPLAINED TO ME WHAT TO DO FOR THE FIRST COUPLE OF WEEKS TO BE SURE THE WINDOW WAS SEALED. WE HAD SOME INITIAL COMMUNICATION CONFUSION (OVER SCHEDULING), BUT I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK.
