Description of Work: I had a short in an outlet in my home. The circuit breaker failed to trip and the line got so hot it melted, blew up in the electrical panel and by the grace of God the house didn't catch fire! The line up in the attic all the way to the outlet switch in the wall was burned/melted. I paid only a deductible of $100 because I have a home warranty and A-Quality Electric is the company my home warranty uses. I had never used them before and didn't know them. The electrician they sent out was great. Very professional, courteous, and I was very happy with the work he did. He installed a new breaker and ran over 60ft of new wire from the panel over to the switch and outlet. He took the time to answer my questions and was very helpful. His name was Dave, it took about 4 hours. I would definitely use this company and refer them to family and friends. The only issue I had was they are so busy it took them a few days to come out, but thats nothing, there work is more important to me and it is definitely Quality!

Description of Work: A fluorescent fixture that I purchased a couple of years ago suddenly stopped working. A repairman came and after verifying that the electricity was working and the bulbs were not the problem, replaced the ballast and helped reinstall the casing (the fixture looked nice, but has been a bear to reinstall the casing). The ballast that came with this fixture was apparently somewhat unusual but repairman was able to adapt a different type of ballast, which I expect to work for a long time. The repairman was prompt, courteous and figured out the problem. I wouldn't buy the same fixture again, but I would call Quality.

Description of Work: My bathroom outlets, they worked fine for years until two of us started using blow dryers at the same time. About 6 months later, when we'd both use blow dryers at the same time, they kept blowing the circuits. They fixed it, but told me not to use two blow dryers at the same time, he said to fix it permanently I would have to install better outlets with more power. That would be quite expensive. That's where I've left it.

Description of Work: I called this company as it had a good write up on the List. The man I spoke with put me on hold twice and when he told me when they could come out, it was not convenient for me. He did not offer to call me when they were on the way and did not offer another alternative date. When I told him I would call my regular electrician all he said was "OK". Why would I do business with a business who doesn't have a sense of customer service.

ANOTHER COMPANY DID NOT EVEN SUGGEST THIS AND WAS RELUCTANT TO DO THE JOB BECAUSE THERE IS NO CRAWL SPACE IN CEILING, AND IT WOULD REQUIRE MAKING A LOT OF HOLES IN THE WALL AND CEILING, TO DO THE JOB AS WE REQUESTED. OTHER CONTRACTORS WE CALLED WERE TOO BUSY TO DO THE JOB. OURS WAS DONE WITHIN A WEEK OF GETTING ESTIMATE.

THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS THE LOWEST BID, BUT THEY ARE THE MOST PROFESSIONAL, PROMPT AND DO NOT ADD ON TO THE QUOTE IF THE JOB IS HARDER THAN THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO OTHERS THROUGHOUT THE YEARS AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS PERFORMED WELL FOR THEM AS WELL. THIS PAST YEAR THEY REWIRED A LARGE SECTION OF MY HOUSE THAT WAS CONTINUOUSLY SHORT CIRCUITING - I HAVE HAD NOT PROBLEMS SINCE THEY COMPLETED THE WORK.

 + -1 moreTHIS MAY SEEM SIMPLE, REPLACING A MAIN BREAKER, BUT AT THE TIME IT WAS CRITICAL. MIKE STREET OF QUALITY ELECTRIC WAS SENSITIVE TO MY NEEDS. DURING OUR KITCHEN REMODEL I HAD TO TURN THE ELECTRIC OFF. I COULDN'T LOCATE THE EXACT BREAKER SO I TURNED THE MAIN OFF AND BACK ON. THIS CAUSED THE MAIN BREAKER TO 'FRY'. I CALLED A QUALITY ELECTRIC AT 4:45 ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THEY CAME OUT IMMEDIATELY. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM, IT COULDN'T BE REPAIRED UNTIL OUR LOCAL UTILITY WAS CONTACTED AND PERMITTED A QUALITY ELECTRIC TO DO THE JOB. THEY COORDINATED REPLACING THE BREAKER WITH APS SO THAT I HAD THE MINIMAL TIME WITHOUT ELECTRICITY.
