Awesome! I will not call anyone else for future drywall work. His work ethic is inspiring. He loves what he does and is great at it. For the dedicated hard work he put into our basement, it feels like we got it done for a steal! Very professional, friendly, trustworthy and punctual. He said that he typically doesn't do framework, but since he had extra time, he gladly added in the extra work and it turned out great! He also put my not so easy to install built in book shelf/cabinet back in a wall!

He did an awesome job. I got him through Angie's Lists. It's a good source for us just moving to the community. It gave us idea of people to contact because we live were we are. We're kind of between two big communities and so the price to get them to us was more difficult. It was made to have option to call to find out information and at least gave us idea who to ask. We started to be confident with the people that were on Angie's Lists.
Description of Work: Phil Mahoney Drywall did all the drywall and he did do a little bit of remodelling stuff and suggested things for us that worked out much better because we didn't have a clue of what we're doing.

Phil was very professional and did an excellent job finishing my basement. He hung drywall in a bedroom and bathroom, patched some holes, applied drywall mud and texture to match existing wall texture. He was on time, didn't disappear for hours on lunch breaks and finished my home in 2 days. I would definitely recommend his company to anyone and will use him in the future for any drywall/painting needs.

It went great. Came in, cut out the scraps, replaced the drywall, then went above and beyond to help me with cracks in the walls I was working on in other rooms. In our discussion he mentioned he typically does commercial and large drywall projects. Made me that much more impressed that he knocked this out so quick - especially since I'm sure he has other work he can be doing as well. Don't bother calling anyone else. American Drywall should be your first and only call.
Description of Work: I originally contact American Drywall to replace some drywall I had to cut out that got wet from a recent storm that brought water into the basement. Phil came out on Wednesday to assess the work and give an estimate of roughly $250. He was here first thing the next morning to do the work. On top of replacing the drywall in the closet, repaired several cracks in the walls and ceiling in other rooms of the house that I was working on. Gave pointers, showed me how it's done, and made it look better than I ever could have thought.

Whoever originally drywalled our home cut corners and we were having nails pop out and cracks showing up. Therefore, we were cautious when we had to hire someone to drywall our basement when our home flooded. I received quotes from two companies. They were comparative in prices; however, A-American Drywall seemed more professional and detail oriented. Therefore, we decided to go with them. Phil was quick to respond and helpful when I had questions. He started on time and finished early. He completed everything to the highest standards. If we had a concern he took care of it immediately. He even repaired the issues we were having upstairs. I was concerned since our entry was only gutted half way that you would be able to discern between the old and the new; however, I can't tell one bit. We had some neighbors over to look at it when it was done and they were thoroughly impressed. In fact, one of them had used the other company and said they did a horrible job. We will be having Phil come back and finish our garage when we are ready.
Description of Work: Phil drywalled, textured, and painted my basement and entry after we flooded. He also repaired cracks and nails popping out on my main level.

He was very informative on how to prepare the rooms for his work and very helpful in selecting the type of texture to use and other details that turned out very nice when he was finished. The quality of his work was excellent and was done in a timely and professional manner. His estimate was accurate and the cost was within a reasonable amount of difference since we had added items as he was working on the project. We are planning to have him texture more rooms and hallways being we are so pleased with the work he has done and would like all of them to look this same way. We definitely would recommend him for your project!
Description of Work: Phil put up the drywall on wall and ceiling in two rooms, on the ceiling in two more rooms, and fixed cracks in two other rooms. He taped and textured all of the rooms plus added texture to another room.

Our basement family room had flooded after some severe storms recently and we needed to replace some of the walls that began to mold. We started to do the work ourselves but decided it was taking too long and frankly not looking that great. We called Phil to our home for a quote after he was recommended by a friend. He explained every step of the job, answered all our questions, and even showed us samples of finished products so we could decide what we wanted the walls to look like. We agreed upon the price, start, and finish dates. Phil showed up exactly at the promised start time and by the end of the first day it looked like a different room. After finishing with the joint compound he was to spray texture the walls. He was extremely careful to cover all our furniture, outlets, and the ceiling to avoid causing any damage. He had planned to be here for 2.5 days, but was able to finish on the 2nd day. Overall we are very happy with his work and will be calling him in a few months to replace walls in a bedroom that was also damaged in the flood.
Description of Work: Phil was hired to complete drywall work that we began in our family room after a recent flood.
