The technician failed to repair the smoke alarm system; he broke a light fixture; he was not punctual. The fee charged was excessive. The warranty service was never provided. It took a very long time and much prodding to get a refund.
Description of Work: On Sunday, October 21, 2007, our smoke alarm system failed at about 9:00 am, repeatedly signaling false alarms. The company we called advertised service within one hour. The technician finally arrived at about 12:40 pm. The technician worked on the smoke alarm system, but he did not repair it; the system again signaled false alarms the following day. In addition to failing to repair the smoke alarm, the technician broke and replaced a light fixture. We called for warranty service at about 10:00 am Monday. The technician never arrived. At 4:00 pm we called another company. Their technician repaired the smoke alarm system for $90.00. On Monday, October 22, I requested a refund. The company representative agreed. After follow-up letters and phone calls on November 3, November 21, and November 29, I finally received my refund on December 1, 2007.
