Description of Work: I am not really sure. I had scheduled the appt to have not only my air conditioners checked, but my air balanced in my home. When the tech arrived, he gave me conflicting info about my air conditioners status and then told me that Sun Devil does not do air balances. I am not sure why I was booked for an appt for air balance, if the company does not provide the service. I would not recommend this company.

Description of Work: It was supposed to be a $39 check-up on the heat pump air conditioning system to including one pound of R410a if necessary. The tech found that the system was leaking refrigerant somewhere and charged us $241.40 for adding refrigerant and a can of "Super Seal/Easy Seal" which he assured us would stop the leak. The unit continued to leak and required removal and replacement of the Accumulator which was done under warranty by the company who sold us the unit 5 years ago.

Description of Work: A 4 ton AC unit was installed to replace an old unit. Communication was usually very good except for the installation day. The installation was scheduled for 6 am but the crew called 1.5 hours later to say they were waiting for permits about an hour after that time the crew arrived. The crew did a good job doing the installation and cleanup but I can note that the crew should have used a drop cloth to catch liquid and dried debris from the removal of the old blower unit located in the second story attic. Both crew members were very courteous. The unit works very well and on balance most everything worked out fine with this service company. I have an issue with Angies Big Deal fine print bullet points that can lead one to believe that indoor coil installation is included. The verbiage states the following " * Includes installation and a new indoor coil" placing this information on the same same bullet point line made me think the installation included the coil too. This is verbiage is common to any AC vendor pre-purchase Big Deal so I do not blame this vendor.

Description of Work: I bought 2 deals for $39 for an elite air conditioner tune-up. They added Freon to one unit and replaced the capacitor to another unit.

Description of Work: AC service technician recommended additional services. Had the coils cleaned for $225. Never sure if this is something I can do my own or it the average price for this type of service.

Description of Work: The $3500 system cost over $5000. As I had family visiting, I felt I needed to get the system and thought that purchasing through Angies list would result in a better deal. Based on my subsequent research, this doesn't seem to be the case. I went ahead with the work as I had already prepaid $3500 through Angies list and couldn't afford to just throw that money away. I will no longer pre pay vendor's via Angies list so I have not commited money to a company until I really know the deal

Description of Work: Overall check of AC system, found low freon and fan wired backwards, charged with freon, corrected fan wiring, explained everything in detail, answered all questions.... Very cool experience ( pun intended)

Description of Work: Recently bought a house with a fairly new ac unit. Decided to purchase a $39 ac checkup deal just to make sure it was good to go for the hot summer. Worker checked everything out and said it was all good, but did note the air ducts were super dirty, as I had suspected. Provided a cleaning estimate upon completion but I opted to hold off until other construction work had been completed. I did compare the estimate and it was fairly reasonable.

Description of Work: They stuck it to me. Said my blower was in the red. The first technician installed a Universal blower (as the one in my A/C could go any time) instead of one that went with my A/C model (Charged me $705.00. My A/C vibrated badly. I called them back and a different tech showed up. Said for $80.00 he could put on a new fan blade. I told him now. The vibrating started again and I called their office and said I wanted my $705.00 back as there was nothing wrong with my A/C until they worked on it. Well the second tech came back and put the proper model blower on my A/C and a new fan blade (no charge). Vibrated again and that tech came out and tightened the screws on the blade. I fully believe they were trying to kill my A/C in order to sell me new one. I will NEVER use them again and can't recommend them. I was screwed!
