Description of Work: Super nice tech...did a very thorough job, more than I expected for the "Big Deal". However, the recommendation for $1500+ worth of various parts (capacitors, relays, etc) seemed a little out of line for working systems he said looked good overall. Didn't put a hard sales pitch, but made it all feel like HVAC units (although described in good shape) could fall apart if didn't take steps to replace ahead of time...maybe they will lol...time will tell!

Description of Work: Kevin looked at my unit and said I needed a new air conditioner. Said I needed 3lbs of R-22 and I had a leak. Said there was no reason to do anything on this unit. I called AJ Iceman (who also works for Angie's list) and he said I was a pound and half low on R-22 but couldn't find anything major wrong except that the main drain line needed cleaning and the insulation needed repair. The unit then was pulling cold air, and has been ever since. I had explained to Kevin that I would like to sell my house in the next couple of months so I would like to use this unit if possible. Kevin said I pretty much need a new A/C. I'm unhappy because I would have gotten the first lb. of R-22 free if Kevin had pursued checking out the A/C. Now I had to pay for two lbs. Very dissatisfied!!

Description of Work: I purchased an air conditioning system from Sun Devil after initial service call revealed a leak in the coil of my 1998 system. I was delighted with the initial service, which I would rate a B+. I checked a number of firms and found Sun Devil price and quality to be at the lower end of quotes. I purchased the system on April 18, and was promised install at 9 am on the 19th. They arrived around 10:30, and were finished in two hours. The insulation around the cold AC line to the house was poorly installed, the worksite outside was not properly cleaned up, and I had concern about the use of heat duct tape to span about a 2 inch span from the new air handler to the house ductwork. The crew did not bring a new thermostat, which was part of the deal. I was promised the thermostat would be installed the next morning. no one showed or called, so I called around 3pm, and was promised it would be installed the next morning. Again, no show, no call. I called again, and was promised it would be installed Friday morning, between 8 am and 10 am. The technician arrived at 11:30 and did finally install the new thermostat. I was really disappointed with the lack of customer service, and the quality of the install. I am concerned about warranty service.

Description of Work: A/C Tune up as advertised with a 31 point inspection for $39.00. Experience a few issues with the tech's work QUALITY. Which was no fault of Sun Devil. Sent an E-mail and picture to the company. I was contacted by Jason, who assured me that they would address my issues and concerns. Sun Devil and the Tech, they sent. Went up and above to take care of this situation that was left for them to deal with! Thanks again to the both of them, for a JOB WELL DONE.... Rating I use reflected the first Tech's PERFORMANCE. After the second tech PERFORMANCE and how the job was handled. The rating are all A'S... This shows having the right employee's can take your company to the top and if not, crash and burn...

Description of Work: Provider got my unit going. however, it's hard to tell if what was wrong with it was really what he said. it seemed he was in bit of a rush to finish (late appt). Im glad no surprise charges after the fact as it typically happens. so overall good service.

Description of Work: They wanted to charge 600.00. They were rude when I complained they wanted to charge too much. They said if we charged you 20.00 it would be too much. We called another ac man I paid 350.00 it was reasonable. Thank you for asking my response. E. Liedtke we are on fixed income and we watch our pennies.

Description of Work: Used coupon for tune up-- he was up there about 5 minutes and said everything looked good. I expected a little more time to be spent on it and a little more info than " everything looks good "

Description of Work: Replaced AC unit on roof. They were very responsive and completed job in timely manner but after it rained a leak developed around unit on roof. They were responsive to return and repair leak though.
