The technician showed up on time, worked efficiently, answered all my questions, and cleaned up thoroughly before he left. The technician also installed a spring hinge on our french doors, so they're self-closing too. Now I have doors that self-close and latch securely. All without making it look like a fortress. The mechanisms installed are unobtrusive, match the color of our door, and look good. I appreciate their work and would recommend this company.

Great - They gave me an estimate over the phone ($185 for first window and $110 for second window).. I was given a time span for arrival (2-4PM) I was called when their employee was on his way. He was very polite, explained how to care for my sliding doors in the future, and he cleaned up after completing the job.
Description of Work: I had two sliding glass doors which were becoming very resistant to opening. I eventually had to use two hands to push them open.

Things went well. I was worried we might need new rollers for the bottom of the patio door, which would have been an added expense. But Andre, our installer, said the old rollers were fine. The self-closing device, which is a pool-safety feature, works fine. The installation was fast but professional.

The service provider was really prompt--came at the early end of the window of time we were given. He was courteous and friendly, not to mention helpful and informative. We would definitely use the service provider again!
Description of Work: We had a sliding door that couldn't open. Wyatt discovered and addressed the issue in the safety system, which was a piece that had come loose for the latch, giving special instruction about how we could adjust the speed of the closing of the door, which was above and beyond. And we were charged only a service charge of $65. (He told me that should an actual repair be required in the future, the cost would be $135 (at present), and then that repair would be guaranteed for a year.) Aside: We have another sliding door that was installed that wouldn't pass code in the inspection if we were to sell, and so to install the safety latch system at this time would be $285.)

The technician arrived with a work order to measure for screens only. When we explained that we needed the rollers replaced on the patio door he said it wasn't on his work order so he wouldn't do it. He also said he was not trained to take window screen measurements so they would have to send out someone else if we decided to replace the screens. I talked to their office and explained what occurred and their response was we could be rescheduled but it would be at least 2 weeks away. I told them I would be completing a negative review on this site and the only response was if we have an opening we can call you back. This was very poor customer service and they didn't seem to concerned.

Response from Slide Right
When this appointment was originally scheduled, it was noted to measure for a screen door, and upon return of installing the screen door, we would replace the rollers. We typically recommend the service being scheduled this way, because we provide a discount on the roller replacement when a screen door is installed. Rather than the customer paying $165 for rollers, he would have only paid $110 with the purchase of a screen door. We were also not notified when scheduling that the customer was interested in over 30 sun screens for his house. Because there are so many factors involved with window screen measurements, we typically would have sent a more experienced technician to measure these. Rather than waiting 1-2 weeks for another technician to come out and give a quote, our technician Jacob offered to take rough measurements on the windows so that we can provide him a quote, and if he was happy with the prices, we can sent out a more experienced technician to verify the measurements. [member name removed] was called back and our office left a voicemail with a quote for all of his window screens, along with the screen door and roller price. We did not hear back from our customer for nearly 3 weeks, which was yesterday (November 17th). When [member name removed] called back, he said he was upset that his rollers never got replaced, and we asked if he'd like to reschedule. We informed him that because of the holidays coming up and being closed two days next week, that we were booking appointments about a week or two in advance. He then told us to cancel his request and that he'd be reporting his experience to Angies List. We then told him that we'd be happy to review our schedule to see if we can get him in any sooner, but [member name removed] declined and hung up. We believe that this was a simple mis-communication, and would have loved the opportunity to fix the situation, should [member name removed] have let us do so.

I was so fed up with the kids not closing my sliding glass door. I felt like I was throwing dollars out the door as my cooled air would flow out. At the same time all the bugs weren't paying rent since we invited them in. So I did some research and found this company and they had a unique product that would close my slider automatically. I compared their product to the other ones on the internet and this was by far the best. All the others were made of PVC and looked really cheap. This one is hardly noticeable and it matches my slider frame color. The price was reasonable so I had them install it. The install was quick and afterward the technician (Jacob) showed me how to use it, adjust the closing speed, and even correctly uninstall it should I ever want to remove it in the future. He noted that they have a 2 year warranty on it. I'm really happy. Thank you small businesses like this that actually care!

We were not sure if we would need a new door or if it could be repaired. Everyone we contacted told us it would need to much work to fix and we should just replace it. Also that it would could several thousand dollars. We found Slide right on Angie's list and were pleased from the beginning. They responded quickly from the start! They showed up when they said they would and were very polite and professional through the entire job. We did not need a whole new door despite all the needed repairs. They were able to replace the handle inside and out, new sliders, a new automatic closer, screen door and tightened it all up to make it secure. It has worked great since and would recommend them to anyone who is having any type of trouble with their Acadia door.

Company was professional, efficient and friendly from phone service to installers. On initial call, I explained that I wasn't sure whether I could repair my original door or would need to replace it so they sent an installer out to my house. We discussed all options but he wasn"t "pitching" a new door, he gave me all the facts and we both agreed it was time to replace it. I asked him to email me an estimate for two options for door replacements. When the estimates came, I called them to schedule my installation date. Since I was using my week off to have the work done, they were able to help me time the order placement so that I would still be able to get the work done that week even if the order was delayed a few days. Everything arrived on time. The installation went without a hitch, They framed out the new door so that it looked finished. I only had to paint the new frame, which was quick and easy. I love my new door! It is a triple panel with one stationary panel, allowing the door to be opened extra wide when needed. They even photographed the door in use so it might show up on their website. Thanks Slide Rite!

Arrived 45 minutes early and were done start to finish in 45 minutes. Replaced 8" rollers and cleaned the track. I had expected them to drill new holes to replace my existing handle since one of the two retaining screws had broken off; instead they gave me a brand new handle...at no charge. Explained everything, showed where my old rollers had broken down over time. I really can open and close my patio door now with one finger. Don't hesitate hiring this firm. Used Angie's List coupon to save $25. Outstanding satisfaction!!!
Description of Work: I originally called to have my sliding door handle reinstalled as I broke one of the screws that secured the handle to the door; most likely because the 17 year-old patio door was so hard to open and close. After reading other reviews I asked them to also replace the rollers.

My mother's sliding glass door that opens to her back porch had become very hard to open, and my husband couldn't remove the door from the track so he could work on the door himself. We read Slide Right Door Closing Systems reviews and decided to call them. These folks were are a pleasure to work with, from setting up the appointment to having the job completed. The young man performing the repair explained how the repair was to be done and was careful to keep the work area clean. He worked quickly and was very polite. The cost was as good or better than we'd seen other places. I would call them with no hesitations.

From Alana at the office to Jim who did the measurements and estimate to Kerry who did the installation it was an easy, pleasant, and smooth job. We bought the house knowing it would need some screen work. Eleven screens were missing, 6 on a security door were in bad shape, there was no screen door on the patio slider. Alana arranged for Jim to come out and do measurements and offer advice on screen types. We have 2 cats that like windows so Jim recommended heavy duty bug screens for the windows that open and sun screens on the south facing windows. We needed screen doors for the patio door and the patio door handle was near impossible to grab on the outside and needed replacement. Afterward we noticed that the stationary patio door had a gap on the wall side. It was not sitting square in the frame. We called Alana and she added it to the work order. When the day came to install the screens, Kerry showed up as scheduled and the installation went well. The screens look good and we are pleased with how the whole process went.

I would highly recommend NOT dealing with Slide Right Door, that cannot deliver a product that was promised and yet refuse to refund deposit money paid. Janet also lied by stating that this issue with the new screen doors not matching the Heritage doors has? never happened before?. I have a Heritage 6? sliding door that was original to the house (1999). The screen door is not working well and needed to be rescreened. I called SW Patio Door, the company that I have used before and was very pleased with. I got Slide Right Door on the phone. They bought out the other company within the past year. They sent Daniel, to come out to look at the problem. He stated that a new, commercial grade door would be a good solution. He only had an aluminum colored corner of the door to show me. I asked about the handle and locking mechanism and had to have someone take a photo to send it to him to show me. I asked very specifically about the color match and he said that the new screen door would match my door color. I ordered the door and they asked for a deposit ( without stating that it is not refundable). I paid the $80 deposit. In the meantime I referred a friend and they are ordering a screen sliding door from them. I have many more neighbors and friends who come to me for recommendations The door was delivered today and the color is a yellow almond and not even close to the original color of the door (which pink in tone). With the wide sides and ends to the door, it looked dreadful. The person delivering the door, Clayton, told me that they have had this problem with matching Heritage doors before and it was a concern of his once he drove up and saw my house. Clayton tried to be very helpful, and once the door was in place I could see that I could not live with the two clashing colors. He called the office to be told that I could not get my $80 deposit returned. I asked to speak to the decision maker and he got Janet on the phone and she stated that ?unfortunately? they cannot return the deposit and that they have ?never? had this problem before. Of course I had already been told that they have had this problem before. I stated that this a very bad business decision.. I explained that if someone had shown me a sample of the color up front I could have made an ?informed decision? and that would be different.. As it was, I believed the sales person when they said they could match the color and was promised a screen door that would match mine. In good faith (not a good idea with this company) I gave them a $80 deposit. They cannot deliver the product that was promised and refuse to return the deposit. It is their problem when they show up without samples of the colors, not mine.

Response from Slide Right
I would like to start off by saying it is disappointing to see this review as I am the owner of SlideRight and we go above and beyond to please our customers. We service over 300 customers per month, and it’s disappointing to have a customer to not give us a fair report when we’ve done everything we can to please them. Our technician Daniel went to [Member's name removed] house to measure for a screen door. He showed her corner samples of the doors and let her choose the color. He informed her that because she has a custom Heritage door, neither color would match her door exactly, but the Almond color would be the closest match. Daniel also showed her pictures of an Almond colored door. The customer continually said that she “absolutely hated the door”. Daniel responded by saying “Do you only want a quote today, or do you want to order the door? If you do decide to order, we will require a deposit of $80 since it’s a special order item”. At that time, the customer decided to hold off on ordering the door, but later called the office and ordered the screen. When our technician came out to install the screen door, the customer was unhappy with the color she chose and demanded her money back. She called the office threatening to report us to Angie’s List, the BBB, and “Bad Mouth us” to all of her friends because she wasn’t able to get her deposit back. We informed her that because the screen doors are special order items, all deposits are non-refundable, as with any type of special order item. We informed her that if we were at fault, we’d be more than happy to refund her deposit, but this is the color she specifically chose and we ordered the door based on her choice. Our technician Clayton is one of our newer technicians and was misinformed about this being a “common issue”. Janet is our office manager and has been with the company for several years, and is very knowledgeable about our products and services. This is not a common issue and was a special circumstance where the customer had a custom colored door. We tried matching the color of the screen as closely as possible to the customer’s existing door; however we did inform her that in this circumstance, it would not be an exact match. I feel that we did everything we could to make sure she was aware of what she was getting, yet it was her choice to order the door anyway. Again, we strive to provide excellent service to all of our customers and are willing to do anything we can to ensure our customers are satisfied; however in this situation, we feel as though our customer was completely informed of what she was getting, and tried using Angies List as a tool to threaten us to get her deposit back. It’s unfortunate to have this review on our record and hope that customers will understand our reasoning as to why we made the decision to hold the deposit.
