My 6 year old Macbook suddenly stopped working. The worst part was, I had never backed up my music library or photos. I took the computer to Macmedia hoping that at the very least, they could perhaps retrieve my music and photos. The technician was helpful and ran a test that showed that I needed a new battery, which I purchased for $129.00. Unfortunately the problem was not the battery but the hard drive. They gave me the option of backing up my information so I could take it home and load it onto my desktop computer, or the more expensive option of fixing this one. I like having a laptop and a desktop, so I gave them the go-ahead to fix the Macbook. They were able to retrieve all of my information off of the old hard drive and re-install it onto a new hard drive with updated software. Now I have the computer back, working like new, with a warrantied hard drive. The techs were up-front about the cost of repairs and always called me to get authorization before they did any work.

After an unsuccessful trip to a store in Scottsdale, the Apple store in Arrowhead Mall recommended this company. I took my laptop in for an upgrade, which usually takes at least a day, and the co-owner was able to install increased memory, and upgrade my operating system while I waited in the store. I realize that this situation may have been unique, but I was grateful that I didn't have to leave my laptop overnight. The store in Scottsdale told me it would take two days and that they were out of memory, so they weren't sure how long it would take. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They also put me on a notification list for refurbished computers for 1/2 price.
