DICK'S LANDSCAPING

Great company to work with, came out early 2012 for estimate and returned in March 2012 for work. Work took five days. Firm ripped out old lawn and leveled areas. Planted a wall of Cyprus trees (14+), 5 Mexican Palms, several Citrus trees, Butterfly bushes, etc.. Completely redo of front and back yard. New drip system and replaced sprinkler system. New lighting systemin front and back. Plan more work/landscaping in the yard and WILL use this firm. Richard (the owner) is beyond professional and very nice.

They did many things for us. They designed landscaping around our pool and patio. They installed shrubs, trees, and a retaining wall. They have very competitive prices and do great work! I would highly recommend them.

Deceptive on spoken items versus actual items. Had unreadable/unclear contract than hid behind contract in not wanting to do the actual job requested and promised by this company. Owner 'Richard' have VERY poor listening skills. You would ask for one thing, and instead he would deliver a cheap alternative and claim he didn't know/understand or wasn't told. I would not use this person/company again and will not refer him to friends, relatives or colleagues.

All in all I'm happy with my backyard there were just a few glitches.

Have never had so many communication issues with other vendors as I did with this one! Workers were very nice but Richard does NOT have good listening skills, nor does he use common sense. He hides behind his contract and nickles and dime you throughout the entire project. He infers you will be getting certain quality products, however this never happens and you will get robbed. Would not work with this vendor again!

Their work was Fine. Biggest issue was getting a response back from them. They are extremely disorganised. The lady who picks up the phone - either does not pass the message - or they are ignored by her son - don't know which. After wanting them to do another job for us, and not getting a response for more than a week - we went to another company. Have been with the other company ever since.

They did an ok job. I kept them for a very long time which was almost a year. They came every month. Their work could get a little better and I was not fine with it. They were somewhat reliable but I probably wouldn't recommend them to others. They did their job but not on time and they were not consistent. Their price was high and not very good. They did a very average job overall.

We have had a very good experience with Richard and his crew. They were hard working people and easy to work with.

Things went well with Richard. He showed up on time for appointments and spent an appropriate amount of time to understand what we wanted. We went through a few iterations of the plan and there were miscommunications when we tried to rely on verbal instructions, but once we provided diagrams or otherwise got things in writing, it went better. During the implementation, plan details were not always followed (e.g., path width, planter placement), and had to be redone. The work took a few days longer than predicted. Workers were polite and respectful of our property. There ended up being a small amount of rework, which was promptly resolved. The yard really looked great when he was done, and we've been very happy with it ever since. It's been six months since the work was completed, and the plants and workmanship have held up very well.

The finished product was excellent. The job was expected to be completed in 2 days. The first day there were only 2 crew members that showed up. We have many dogs and had scheduled 2 days off to be present, however the job took 3 days to complete.

In both houses, the final product caused neighbors to stop and compliment me on the landscaping job and ask for Richard's telephone number. Although he can sometimes be hard to reach, the quality of work is superb and he stands by his guarantee, his crew cheerfully returned to check on problems, replace sickly plants, and install new embellishments that I dreamed up. This guy does a thriving business through word of mouth. Every customer seems to send him at least one new customer.
