Bullfrog Pool Tile Cleaning

The intent of this feedback is not to flame the company, but it is to ensure consumers are aware of my personal experience and opinions of its business practices. Bullfrog intends on selling you acid washes- period. If your pool is getting discolored, and can be treated with chemicals, Bullfrog will still advise you to do an acid wash. They are not the cheapest company, and do not offer better service than those that are Angies List accredited or positively reviewed. There is zero reason for you to use this company over a cheaper well reviewed alternative. I am always willing to pay more for excellent service and professionalism, however, those do not exist at this company so there truly is no reason to pay more. The company is unethical and Clay the owner was extremely unprofessional- ultimately leading to him using profanities in our last discussion. You cannot trust this company to do right by you. If you are searching for a company that you can trust not to make things up or charge you reasonable costs, you need to keep searching. The unethical practices I experienced were unlike anything else I have seen. You may not know you are overpaying, or paying for things that don't really need to be repaired if you don't get more than one opinion or estimate. Do your homework folks, and do not contact this company. I will not endorse another company here; I simply want to help you avoid making the same mistake I did. Keep searching.

They were responsive to our needs, came when they said they would and did exactly what needed to be done.

He left behind a little stained color in the stucco which I had to deal with when he cleaned the pool. They didn't charge anything in addition to the deal. He's timely. It's easy to communicate. The pricing was average.

When service person arrived they said the pool may not get clean with a power wash and an acid wash would be an additional $210 which I felt was way too much since I had already paid $139 for the service. How much more can acid cost. the power wash did not clean the pool and nothing was done about the calcium build up on the bottom. I think it could have been smoothed out or at least mentioned to me even if there were a small charge.

Bullfrog did an amazing on time job draining and cleaning our pool. Great office staff and a great technician came to our house exactly when they promised. We will use them again!

Very professionally run office. Easy to schedule appointment. Worker was efficient and friendly, got along great with my dogs. Love love love the way my tiles look.

Scheduling was easy. They called me shortly after I purchased the Big deal. Because I had a spa, it was additional cost beyond the big deal, but this was explained before they came out. The tech measured the area circumfrence around the pool and spa, we agreed upon the extra cost. He drained the pool slightly and then his equipment took the water line right off the tile. The calcium buildup vanished. He vacuumed the bottom a little bit and then advised that I leave the pump off until the pool fills back up to avoid pulling air into the system. The water was cloudy for maybe an hour or two after the pump turned on, but returned to crystal clear. I did end up having to backwash my filter, but was planning on doing this anyway at the end of the season. Overall a good experience, would use Bullfrog again.

He did an excellent job. He walked me through the process. He was professional, knowledgeable, and attended to even the smallest detail. When it is time to clean the tile again in my pool, Bullfrog will be the one that I call.

They charged extra for small things, I called asked if there would be extra charges they said no. They did not refill the pool after they were finished and because of this when we came home the pool was sucking in air. This caused our pool pump to stop working. We needed to replace this. They did admit that they should have cleaned and refilled the pool better.

Terry did an AMAZING job cleaning some VERY dirty pool tiles! Showed up on time, was professional, and explained everything that was bing done. The pool looks FANTASTIC!! I'll be calling them again in the fall for an acid Wash!

I bought the Angie?s List Big Deal for $189 for 75Ft and paid a little extra for the additional 5ft for my pool. They also changed my pool light bulb for $99 extra. The only kind thing that I can say is that they were easy to contact and the reps on the phone were very nice. Originally I had scheduled for their first available apt (2.5 weeks out) and they said they would place me on the list to call back if they had a cancellation. Which they did and I was able to get in a few days earlier. As for the service....I was not as thrilled. The tiles were cleaned however the wreckage left after is not pleasant. There are now Large chunks of my pool (cool) deck directly above the tile missing in several spots. It looks awful and now I will have to call another company to come and fix it ? AT MY OWN COST. I actually cut my foot on the pieces of the deck left behind by him when I was walking around trying to figure out what had happened. He was kind enough to also leave a trail of sand piles leading up to the pool. And to top it off, the pool was hazy from the stuff used to blast the tiles with and we were told it would take 2 cleaning cycles to get the pool water back to normal. Glad I moved my apt up to a Friday afternoon so we couldn?t use the pool all weekend in the HOT Phoenix summer in July. Way to go Bullfrog. Had they mentioned this when we spoke on the phone (3 separate times), I would have kept my Tuesday apt and wouldn?t have minded not being able to use the pool for a few days during the week. I would recommend that people be aware of the damage they leave behind and that it takes 2 cleaning cycles to get clean water back. I would not recommend this company to any of my friends as it costs more to fix the pool deck than it did to clean the tile. Update 8/13/15?.After posting this review, the owner Clay, reached out to me to help resolve my issues/complaints. Clay was very nice and genuinely wanted to get to the bottom of this and help resolve best he could. We agreed that the tech, Chuck, should have let us know what was happening to our pool deck (chunks coming off) as it was happening during his tile cleaning process. Had he done that, it would have been up to us, the homeowner, to decide if we wanted him to keep going or not. Clay has put me in touch with a company to assist with the repairs needed. We also agreed that the 1-2 cycle cleaning time should be advised up front to the customer when scheduling the tile cleaning apt.

My tile looks very good after the cleaning and all the calcium stains are gone. Very please with the service

The service was great and the individual who performed the service was very nice and professional. He did explain all of the additional costs when he arrived. We had a bit more than 75 linear feet, like 84, and a raised wall. I do think the price of the additional work seemed a bit high. However, I could be wrong because we have not had the service performed before.

Great Service After I purchased the special pricing, I received a call within 2 days to set up date and time of service. We played phone tag, but they penciled me in so I was scheduled for the earliest date. Once, we spoke the date & time they picked worked for us. The night before the service, I was contacted to confirm time. The morning of the service, I was contacted that they were available earlier than my sechedule time....and we were all done by noon. When they arrived, we went over what was covered under the plan to make sure everyone was on the same page. I did have to pay extra because me pool area was larger than pricing agreement.( I was aware of this before they arrived) They never tried to upsale any additional services. When job was done, we check the work and signed off. The work site was cleaned up and I was left with clean polished pool tiles. Everyone was professional

Speed up on time. We first signed up for a power wash but after discussing it with the worker he said that an acid wash would likely get rid of the stains in our Pebble Tec finish. He also said that he would test an area and if it didn't work then he would just do a regular power wash and not charge for the acid. Once completed the pool wasn't perfect but MUCH better than before and most of the stains were removed.

We recently moved into a new home and the pool was in terrible shape. We hired Bullfrog Pool Tile Cleaning to put it back into working order. When they were finished, the pool sparkled like new! They were a very professional company, worked quickly and maintained amazing communication. At every step of the way we were informed when people were coming, what their names were, what they would be doing and called immediately is any rescheduling had to be made. Additionally, they bent over backwards to accommodate our time crunch and provided service in a timely manner. Highly recommend this group and have decided to have them continue to service our pool on a monthly basis rather than doing it ourselves. Their prices are reasonable and their service level exceptional.

First they drained the pool below the tile line using their own pump. They then power washed the tiles with their own, safe mixture. Once all the debris settled on the floor of the pool they vacuumed the entire pool. They then put a sealer coat on top of the tiles to slow the calcium build up process. The results were excellent and the tiles looked like new. The price was 215.00 for 75 feet and 4.25 additional for each foot.
