ADVANTAGE PLUS CARPET DETAILING

I purchased a coupon online for this company from Amazon.com. According to the coupon, the scope of work included 1600 square feet. In the conditions however, the company was to only work in three rooms. 4th room, within the cleaning space, was an additional charge above the coupon. When I asked the workers (2 appeared) to move a few pieces of furniture, they agreed however, I was told that they normally do not do this, however, because there were two works on this job they would move the lighter furniture (which is what I asked about), however, this extra work would cost some additional fee. (I have used Coit for years and they ALWAYS move smaller pieces of furniture without change.) The men told me whenever they move a piece of furniture they need to re-set the furniture on foam coasters (about 2-square inches) - as most companies do as part of their job. Arizona Carpet however does this with still another up-charge. Most of our house was fairly clean, save two or three "trouble" areas. These areas typically were no more than two or three foot squares. I have never been charged more to actually clean a dirty carpet...if it were not for these few spots, there would be no need to hire this company. Arizona Carpet told me to clean these areas there will be another upcharge. I was getting a bit upset with all of the up-charges. I shared this with the two men. This would be cheaper without a coupon and going to a national company. After a few moments of venting and the workers listening, all of the up-charges were combined to an additional $65 (as a favor to me). Afterwards the job looked great! That said, after the men left, I ended up moving some of the furniture back into the rooms where they belonged. Within a second or two of sitting on any chair that was moved, the square foam cushions fell away from the furniture. After noticing this, inspected one piece of furniture not moved or sat upon. I noticed that the foam cushions were just partially placed under the furniture. (For example if the surface ares of the chair leg was 2", the cushion was placed on about 1/4" or at most 1/2" of the surface.) I asked about cleaning two area rugs, that covered large portion of the carpet. Here again, the upcharge was mentioned, however, I would have expected that. The total upcharges equaled another $65. There is no telling how much the total would have been if I did not get close to asking them to leave. My suspicion is that the company had a price in mind plus this great coupon before comaing to my home and the technicians are on notice to collect at least some amount close to the anticipate price for service. Again, once the job was completed, it was great. They were every bit as competent as the national company that I have used for years. It would have been much easier if the company did not have a coupon and charge a flat rate per square foot, without regard to the term room, which in my case was misleading. I saw 1600 square feet and based my purchase on that. Based upon this misleading term each room that the company cleans would average over 500 square feet. That assumes that the anticipated rooms cleaned would each be larger than 530 square feet or 23'x23.' Anything less than that has the customer overpaying in every room for limited services. (I indicated that I would not use this company again only because I felt as if the advertising was misleading. That said, the company did a GREAT JOB. My only issue was what I felt to be the upcharges. Paying what I did for the job that they did was fair and on par with most companies. This may be how every company works, except the larger national companies. It leaves a very bad taste in the mouth of the consumer, which is hard to swallow. Several weeks after the job was done, I saw the company at our local Home Show. They were handing out coupons for 4-rooms of cleaning for $99. There was no indication of what size each room should be.)

I had Advantage Plus seal the grout at my brand new home, and they did a really good job. So then I had them do the grout, carpets, and counter tops at my old home that I'm trying to get ready to rent out. The guy came out on time, gave me an estimate, we agreed on price and service date. He was supposed to do the job the next day but found he had trouble finding the right grout color and requested a one day delay. So he communicated with me appropriately, I always knew what was going on. He brought in a second person because it was a 3000 sqft house, a big job, and they got it done. The house looks gorgeous and I was very pleased both with the carpet and with the grout/tile and counter tops - it all looks almost brand new! I would gladly use them again, and will do so the next time I have this type of job.

WONDERFUL! The grout in my home was awful, in fact, I feared that it could never be truly clean again. But, Advantage Plus did it! I was so pleased with their service and how quickly they were able to get the job done.
