We contacted Tom Brennan of 1st AirCo in June of 2011 on the advice of a friend who knows him personally. Mr. Brennan is a no-nonsense service provider. His estimate was rock-solid. Because the work was being paid for on an insurance claim, and we wanted to install a higher quality unit than the insurance would permit, he provided us with two bids: one for the insurance company for the the unit that they wanted to install, and then a second one that showed the unit we wanted to install. He then simply billed the insurance company using the first bid and then charging us personally for the difference of the second bid less the first bid. The installation was straightforward. We did run into an issue with the thermostat wiring that slowed up the work by a couple of hours, but the installation took less than one day. The new unit is performing admirably and we love the multi-stage blower. The old unit used to shake the house when it started up, but the new unit is barely noticeable. Mr. Brennan stands behind his work, is knowledgeable and courteous. If you are looking for a cheap bidder, don't use Mr. Brennan. But if you are looking for a fair-priced bid, good word done on time and to your satisfaction, then 1st AirCo is a company you should consider.
