The move was pretty much a disaster. The owner went thru the home to calculate price of move and size of storage we needed. We DID question the size of the storage unit but he assured us that the truck size and storage unit would be just fine! The day he arrived he brought his father and teenage cousin or nephew to move us and he went off to work at a moving/storage place of business! Spouse and I had packed everything into boxes for storage plus we had moving blankets to cover furniture. We were assured that furniture and grandfather clock would be shrunk wrapped and blankets around clock. Well---------no that didn't happen plus no lamp boxes were brought for the lamps as promised. Staircase carpet was destroyed with moving dolly greasy wheels. Took 2 truck loads to move furniture and 2 storage units to store everything so that meant more money. When I saw the storage units with everything in it they had placed wood furniture on top of glass tables with NO BLANKETS! Mattresses were stacked sideways with boxes on top that all fell causing A MESS and some injury to persons looking at the storage mess! All lamps were just thrown in to whatever free spot could be found!. When we were ready to move out of state we wanted someone else to move us. I called the past mover(Atlas) to bring me a copy of our move with him as I never received one and he said ok. We were to meet the next day at Starbucks but he did NOT show up nor would he answer any phone calls from me. He also took a moving job away from another mover who was going to move into our home!!!!!! After we moved to our present location we found our furniture damaged and many things broken. Would NOT recommend this person PLUS I do NOT think he was licensed as he said he was when he moved us so there wasn't anything we could do about it! He was fired from his moving/storage job in town-why? the manager at the company said that he was not "up to their standards". He couldn't even find in his records the moving license number--he only knew that he had APPLIED for insurance and maybe a license! Have heard several horror stories from others about this person but for me to repeat them would be gossiping and passing on information that I did not see first hand! I can only go by our experience and I definitely would not recommend this person.
