Naomi gave me a verbal bid of what she thought the house cleaning would cost and upon completion it took them longer than they original thought it would take and left a note with the new price which was more than their original quote. If all the work that they had been asked to do was complete I wouldn't have had too big of a problem with this, (though a bid should be a bid) but there were still cob webs/dust bunnies under the bed, clumps of hair in the bathroom tub, and the trash was not emptied. I think if they would in the future leave a quote or a sheet with hourly rates, along with an invoice after they are complete, some of this pricing confusion could be avoided. That being said, they did not quite complete all of the tasks asked of them, though the ones that they did complete were done well. ***March 29th Response to Naomi: I did not attempt to 'blackmail' anyone. You quoted me $150, you charged me $175 for a job that was not complete. I gave you the opportunity to get paid what we had agreed upon and to discuss the overall outcome of the work. But you dropped all contact and did not respond. I reviewed you accordingly. In the future give potential clients a written bid and you won't end up with this confusion again!!!***

"After trying to reach the member for almost a week about the remaining balance due for work that was clearly stated at our first meeting as will as on our website, he sent us an email blackmailing us for a good review. "Regarding the additional $25 you are asking for... I felt that you quoted $150 for the job and that is what I am expecting to pay. $150 was my upper threshold when getting a bid and had you said it was $175 I would have said that was too high and gone elsewhere. I hope you understand. If not, I will pay the $175 and reflect my thoughts accordingly on Angie's List. Or I can pay the $150 I was expecting to pay and say you did a good job." He ended up paying the $150 and leaving us this review. Rest assured, this is not how we do business. We are going to put the member behind us and look forward to serving our many satisfied clients. Recommended by a friend, Naomi Gallagher and her partner, Adam, came to our home on 28 February 2011 to conduct spring cleaning. Both were well groomed, focused, and polite, but did not engage in time-guzzling chatter. They came well prepared and well equipped and were sensitive to solicit instructions regarding valuables. Products used were "green"; however, they were open to our preferred products for marble, wood, stove top, and the like. Naomi made clear beforehand what we should expect, and they delivered. Excellent work. Without hesitation, I would invite them back, and indeed I did!

Naomi has been cleaning our home for about 18 months, and she is extremely conscientious and thorough and her work is excellent in every way. She is always on time and she has never missed an appointment. I appreciate that she sends me a reminder email to let me know when my next scheduled cleaning is. In addition to being a very hard worker, she is a great person. I am truly appreciative that I found her - and I have recommended her to all my friends.
