The completed work proceeded smoothly. To transition to the next phase, I met with the owner twice. I met with the owner on July 9 because of the questions I had raised on the proposal to regrade the backyard and frontward. During the second meeting meeting on July 29, I provided the owner with my plans for the landscaping with a plant list. While rudimentary, the plans were to scale and indicated where I wished plants to be planted and proved that the area would comfortably accommodate the full grown plants. I created the plans so that the owner would have a clear idea of the irrigation needs. I followed up with an e-mail on Aug 8 where I clarified a question discussed during the meeting as well as pointed out an area not fully discussed during the meeting but quite clearly part of the plans given to the owner. The reply on Aug 11 was surprising; that is, 1) proceed with the original proposal and to deal with my questions about that proposal later, or 2) I would need to gather all my thoughts and ideas and plans and "we" would start over. On Aug 15 I replied again detailing the purpose of July 29 meeting and all my questions. The e-mail was acknowledged on Aug 17. On Sept 20, I gave the owners one more week to submit their proposal as at that time I had researched and interviewed several landscaping companies and I gave them an opportunity to be part of the proposals under consideration. To this date, there has been no reply.

Arrived on time and definitely knew what they were doing. Cleaned up all the debris and limbs completely when done. Good job!

They arrived just on time, did a great job on all the work, and really cleaned up everything. I will use them again when I need more of this work done.

PERFECT GREAT GUYS FAST AND NEAT AND TIDY FOUR GUYS TOOK THEM FOUR HOURS

For the project, we received five bids ranging from $475 to $1200. Of the five, The Cutting Edge was the only individual who took the time to check on whether his stump grinder could make its way to the back yard through a narrow gate passageway. He also was the only one who discussed stump grinding in regard to how deep they would reduce the stump below ground level. He provided a written proposal during the meeting. Once we decided to select The Cutting Edge to do the work, a date was scheduled for the work to be done. The five person crew arrived on time in two trucks: one towing a stump grinder, the other towing a large cart for branches. They went to work right away, the owner first trimmed off branches while others carted them around the house and loaded up the cart. As the cart got full, a worker used a chain saw to cut up the branches so more could settle into the truck. As work continued, workers would rake up debris around the truck out at the road. Cutting down the tree took little time: branches gave way to a standing trunk which led to one of the workers climbing up in the tree to cut off larger pieces which fell to the ground. Large garbage barrels were placed upside down over nearby plants to protect them from anything falling. When the tree trunk was down to about 7 feet tall, the owner used a larger chainsaw to take it down pieced by piece until the stump was left a few inches above ground. They then brought in the stump grinder. With garbage barrels positioned to make sure nothing flew toward the house, the stump grinder did its work. Lots of shredded stump remained which was swept up, with raking of the area to finish the job. Suffice it to say, this was a professional operation that ran very smoothly with a pleasant crew all who seemed to be well versed in their duties. While the owner took charge and managed the removal, others on the crew did some of the major parts; i.e., this was not just one fellow with expertise but instead a good solid crew where everyone seemed to be skilled.

They did a very good job. Their prices were a bit high, but they did a good job.

From Amy setting up the appointments to Bill coming out for the estimate to the actual trimming and clean up, I was highly impressed with their work and constant communication. When more of the tree had to be cut back because of branch and mistletoe damage, Bill brought me out and walked me through the process. I was very impressed with their work, clean up and professionalism. They even showed up early than the appointed time and then and hauled away all of the waste. They offered a 20% off coupon for $150.00 or more work on Angie's List which reduced the below stated price to $292.00.

The company is very responsive and always punctual. Their communications with us has always been excellent. We really feel like we can rely upon them to do a good job and a variety of services.

The group of 4 arrived promptly at scheduled time. They worked quickly and are very skilled- this company knows trees. All the trimmings were removed. We appreciate the expert trimming and advice Bill provided. We are definitely going to continue with this company for our tree maintenance. Our trees look awesome!!

There was a mix up with the appointments and they came later than expected but it didn't cause any inconvenience to me. They came and got right to work. They dug out the tree in the front yard and trimmed a very badly overgrown large tree in the backyard. Afterwards they not only cleaned up all the branches they had cut off the tree but they also cleaned up years worth of seed pods and leaves that had covered my backyard. All told it took them a little over 2 hours to get everything done and I couldn't be happier with the job they did.

They were first scheduled to come August 12th, but due to the monsoons, were unable to come that day. They came that following Saturday on-time and did all the work requested, and more. I asked while they were working to trim a few more palms and they were happy to do so, for a fee, of course. But very reasonable. They cleaned up afterwards.

The Cutting Edge provided the lowest quote to trim my three palm trees, which had more than four years of growth. Other bids went as high as $800. I had called and left a message, they called back a couple hours later, and agreed to drive by the house and leave a quote. They did what they said, and after comparing quotes, agreed to use their service. The only problem, I suppose, is that it took two weeks before they could actually do the work, because they were so busy. The trees look great and I plan to use their service again next year.

Provider trimmed the agreed upon trees. cleanup was very good. Would have preferred a price quote before paying in advance.

Bill and his crew did a fantastic job. They protected existing plants and protected the pool deck so they were not damaged. Bill climbed the trees and through a pulley system cut the trees down in three foot sections. Ropes were attached to each section before the final cut was made ensuring the three foot sections would not fall aimlessly to the ground. After the tree were cut down, Bill and crew ground down both stumps below grade level. When the job was completed, you could barely tell there were two trees there just minutes ago. I would not hesitate to use the Cutting Edge again in all of my landscaping projects or concerns.

They trimmed a large overgrown mesquite tree and removed all debris. The job was professionally done and we're please with the results.

Despite having to deal with a newly hatched nest of quail, trying to get their job done without injuring the little babies, they did a great job and hopefully have saved the trees. I would definitely use their services again and have, in fact, already recommended them to some friends - one of which has already gotten an estimate and scheduled some work, which makes me happy. The Cutting Edge is a great local, family-owned business.
