Geek Squad - Best Buy

It was disgusting. It ended up being a $15,000 order. It was so bad, and this was a friendly company. I ordered them in March, I asked them to hold off because I was renovating a home. I would let them know when I wanted the appliances. I called them and told them when I wanted the appliances. The delivery date was fixed. They came and brought two of the appliances. I asked where is the rest, and they said they were on back order. They are on back order. They ordered the stuff basically. I ordered, an order comes in for somebody else, and they can use what they ordered for me. They send it on, they order it for me, and if they can't get it, I end up getting screwed in the end. I had to wait. After three changes in dates, I walked in the store, and I ended up canceling. I went to a different store to get them. The only positive was, when we initially went in to make the purchase, the salesperson that we dealt with was very good. We were very happy with him. They were very bad in every respect. The staff, salespeople, delivery staff were rude, and there were other members of the staff that tried to put things right. It was a snowball effect and disgusting. Their prices were descent and fair. Anybody that gives that kind of service is not professional. I will never set foot in their store again. Not for anything, because I do not want to spend a penny in that store. I used to buy a lot of stuff from them. Computers, and that sort of thing. I bought seven different appliances, that were top brands. The smallest of the purchases was, a microwave.

THEY MISSED THE FIRST APPOINTMENT. SHOWED UP 4 HOURS LATE FOR THE SECOND APPOINTMENT. ONCE THE SERVICE PERSON ARRIVED HE WORKED VERY HARD AND WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL.

RELIABLE AND HELPFUL

THE TECH WHO CAME TO OUR HOUSE, BRIAN, REALLY TOOK THE TIME TO GET OUR SYSTEM RIGHT. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AND GAVE US ADVICE ABOUT OTHER THINGS THAT WE MIGHT CONSIDER. VERY PLEASANT AND PROFESSIONAL.

THE VIDEO CAMCORDER WAS UNDER WARRANTY SO WE DID NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING. WE WERE SOMEWHAT FRUSTRATED SINCE WE HAD TO TAKE THE CAMERA BACK 3 TIMES BEFORE IT WAS FIXED. WE MISSED MY KIDS ENTIRE FOOTBALL SEASON WHICH WAS WHY WE BOUGHT THE CAMCORDER. IT DID GET FIXED, BUT IT TOOK A LONG TIME. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET A HOLD OF SOMEONE ON THE PHONE, LONG HOLD TIMES.

THEY RESTORED OUR COMPUTER TO WORKING ORDER, BUT NOT ALL PROBLEMS WERE TAKEN CARE OF. THE PRICE WAS QUITE REASONABLE FOR THE WORK THAT WAS DONE. THE TECHNICIANS WERE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND INFORMATIVE.

THEY ESTIMATED $100 AND TWO DAYS FOR THE SERVICE. WHEN THEY DIDN'T CALL AFTER 4 DAYS, I CALLED. THEY SAID IT WAS NEXT. AFTER 6 DAYS, I CALLED AGAIN. THEY SAID IT WAS BEING REPAIRED. I WENT IN AT 8 DAYS TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE REP WAS APOLOGETIC AND OFFERED TO SELL ME A SPYSWEEPER PROGRAM FOR $10 ($20 CHEAPER THAN ON THE FLOOR) WHEN IT WAS FINALLY READY. TEN DAYS AFTER DROPPING IT OFF, THEY HAD IT READY. THEY DID SELL THE PROGRAM TO ME FOR $10, BUT CHARGED $29.00 TO INSTALL IT! I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE INSTALLATION, OR THE $29.00 CHARGE. JUST GOT A CANNED RESPONSE, "I'M VERY SORRY YOU FEEL THAT WAY" OVER AND OVER. I'VE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS GETTING WAITED ON IN THIS PARTICULAR STORE.
