BEWARE! SCAM COMPANY! This company will take your money(cash) and not complete the work...or do a horrible job and not call you back. Check Yelp and BBB for more horrible reviews and complaints about this company. Don't be the next victim. My tile and grout were dirtier after they left then what it was prior to them cleaning. You can see in the photos the dirty tile and soap scum ALL over the tile ALL throughout the house. Then on top of that, won't call you back after multiple call and messages. They take your money and leave. Don't give them anymore money. Do your research and pick another company that will actually call you back. SCAM!!!

Day 1: 60 minutes late, no call, hose not long enough to do job, rescheduled to next day. Day 2: no show, no call, no answer. I relied on them to clean the floors before listing my house. Totally screwed me. Horrible business. Horrible communication. I imagine quality of work is same as their business skills.

I chose this company because their prices were good. I shame myself now for not remembering that you get what you pay for. My appointment was rescheduled 4 times with no explanation other than "we need to reschedule". I ended up waiting almost 3 weeks to get my tile cleaned. If the phone was answered at all, it was by the same lady who seemed annoyed to have to answer the phone. I felt I had to compete for her attention with the kids screaming in the background. When the tech finally showed up, he showed up on the wrong day without any notice. At that point, I just wanted my grout cleaned. The tech arrived in an unmarked vehicle wearing unmarked clothing and he did not have a business card. He did a very poor "rush-job" on the tile. Not only did he miss spots altogether, which showed up as black when I went over them with a wet paper towel, but there were spots where the residue had not been removed, which I later had to clean up along with the excessive water spots due to the deep puddles of water he left on the floor. I had originally requested that the grout also be sealed but under the circumstances I just wanted him out of my house before he could cause any more damage. I support small businesses but this experience was so dreadful that I now call into question my own judgment. My advice to anyone looking for a quality tile cleaning company is to think twice about using this one. Any money you save upfront is money you will have to spend to clean up the mess left behind. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Further, it saddens my heart to know there are people who are paid good money for a service who care so little about the people they serve, let alone their homes.

Only thing I didn't like was having to move all my furniture out myself but I guess that would happen with any company. They were here promptly and finished in record time. My grout was as white as snow and I couldn't be more pleased.
Description of Work: My white tile had never been cleaned and the grout was awful. It looked brand new afterwards and they didn't gouge me asking for more than the agreed upon price.

I purchased a coupon in February for $185. They also offer the service on thier website for the same price. I called a short time after purchase to make an appointment, and scheduled it way out in June to eliminate any hassles with scheduling. We agreed on the date and time and I put it on my calendar. Skip forward to yesterday and I called them to confirm my appointment. No problems, they had me scheduled for 8am. I spent the evening pre-cleaning my grout with some spray grout cleaner and a brush. Why? Because with these types of coupons or deals they will typically charge extra for acid cleaning tile and I didn't want to spend any extra. I cleaned all of the grout in a high traffic hallway and bathroom. This morning I woke up early to be ready at 8:00. I guess they didn't, because Daryl called at 8:20 and said they were about 20 minutes away. I told him I was ready. He did arrive at about 8:40. I answered the door and, this is just my impression, but he is not very personable. None of the smiling, "good morning!", that you normally see with carpet/tile cleaning people who make a first time visit to your home and want you as a return customer. I showed him around my home and the areas to be cleaned. I told him I had moved everything and that anything left could be cleaned around. He observed that it was already pretty clean and I pointed out a few areas that were still a bit dirty (I hadn't done them the night before because they were only slightly dirty). I asked him how long it would take to clean and he said about 45 minutes since it was not in bad condition. I left him alone with his worker and went into my garage while they were doing the work. My wife was upstairs in our office while they were working. So, no pressure on them to hurry. They started at 8:50. At 9:10, my wife let me know they had yelled that they were done. I opened the big garage door and they were packing up their equipment. I saw Daryl and said, "Wow, that was fast! That wasn't even 45 minutes." He said the floor was clean and so it didn't take them that long. At this point I was curious to see what the floor looked like and so I opened the door that leads from the garage to the house. I looked inside and immediately saw some grout that wasn't clean in my laundry room. I hesitated on walking inside, but I wanted to see at least one of the dirty areas I had pointed out to Daryl. Sure enough, it was still dirty. I asked Daryl to come back inside and he said, " you know you are walking on the sealer that hasn't dried yet? I told him I knew, but I had no way to inspect the tile without looking at it. He did come inside, and I pointed out the dirty area I had shown him before he started. At this point I should point out we are not tallking some really dirty black grout, just an area that is not quite clean as compared to the surrounding tiles. I told Daryl I wasn't happy that this area was still dirty after they left. I explained to him that I had spent the previous evening cleaning grout and that this spot stood out to me this morning because I missed it. It wasn't that dirty, but dirtier than the surrounding tiles nonetheless. He told me it was cleaned and that it would look better after it dried, but I said it would still look dirtier than the others. He said something like "just because we cleaned it fast doesn't mean we did a bad job" and I was a bit taken aback because I hadn't even said anything like that. I asked him if this was a spot his machine couldn't clean and he said they run the cleaner until they don't see any more dirt coming out of the tile. He compared this spot to an old shirt that you can't get a stain out of. I told him I understood that his machine can't clean this spot, and he said that wasn't what he said, but I told him that WAS what he said when he talked about the t-shirt stain not coming out. He left, knowing I was unhappy about at least the one spot. I wasn't willing to argue the point any longer because he hadn't even once offered to go over the spot again. I knew I would just be cleaning it myself after the tile dried. Once all of the tile was dry I inspected it and found lots of areas that were still dirtier than I expected. Even an easy to clean dirt spot that was in full daylight. If Angieslist allows the size, I'll attach some video of how easy it was for me to clean by hand. The bottom line is that this company went very quickly (20 minutes!) over my 1000 sq ft of tile and removed maybe just some surface dirt. I made the appointment months in advance, confirmed it the day before, and they were still late. I gave them ample time and I pre-cleaned really dirty areas. They could have spent the full 45 minuites and done a better job, but according to them their machine would not clean any better. When they knew I wasn't happy they didn't offer to try to fix the issue while they were still on site and within their own 45 minute estimated time allotment. I wouldn't use them again.
Description of Work: Cleaned and sealed about 1000 square feet of tile and grout. The tiles are 12"x12" and the grout lines are about 1/4" wide.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. To start, I didn't realize the honing process was something that, if not done properly. can actually cause damage to stone. Daryl came on a Saturday. Before he arrived, we moved all of our furniture throughout the house into one room, since everything but our bedrooms is travertine. We left the house with our kids so they could work. About one or two hours later, Daryl called and said his equipment wasn't working and that he would have to come back on TUESDAY! I was aggravated, especially when I walked in the house and saw tthe mess they didn't even attempt to clean up. Realistically, with two small kids, we couldn't live in a nearly empty, dusty house for 2.5 days. It just didn't work. We moved everything back into one room. I called Daryl and told him to skip some of the rooms, since I didn't want to move everything again. He said I wasn't being fair, since I was taking away work from him, even though the equipment failure wasn't his fault. was completely put off by this, but my floor had been partially sanded and I figured i'd at least have him finish the areas he started. On Tuesday, he returned. I left the key under the mat because we had to work. He called (after re-starting the work) and wanted to know why there wasn't a check there for him. I explained I would pay him the balance the work was completed, as is customary. I told him to stop by later that evening or the next day. He became angry and accused me of trying to cheat him. I was shocked. By using the key under the mat, I assumed Daryl understood we wouldn't be in the house waiting with our checkbook. Finally, my husband drove home from work to deal with Daryl. He did just enough work to essentially hold us hostage on the job. My husband waited for them to finish and gave them a check, so he could race back to work. At that point, he just wanted the whole thing done with. When I got home that evening, I noticed the floor now had circular, swirl-like patterns ground into it. I called Daryl to find out what he could do to resolve this issue. Daryl became argumentative, and told me the fix to the problem would cost me more money. I made it clear that wasn't happening. After repeated calls, he agreed to come look at his work. Daryl was immediately angry and aggressive. He proceeded to accuse me of trying to cheat him, again. I was home alone, and I actually became very uncomfortable. Fortunately, we were near the front door when things became really heated. After listening to Daryl's accusations and verbal abuse for a few minutes, I opened the door and told him to get out of my house immediately. I called the BBB (his website claims he has a A rating). I find out he's not a member, and that he actually has complaints that remain unresolved, and has an F rating. Then, I turned to the board of contractors, since honing requires a license. I come to find out, he's not even registered, which means they couldn't help at all. I emailed one of the people who complained on yelp (you have to look into the hidden reviews). The person went to small claims court with Daryl, and basically said it was a waste of time. I finally decided to let it go. I just didn't have the time or energy to pursue the issue, and chalked it up as a loss. REGARDING HIS RESPONSE BELOW: Honing DOES REQUIRE A LICENSE - a simple call to the AZ Registrar of Contractors will confirm this. There is a very reputable stonecare company in town that was actually fined for not having a license at one point (after they had been in business for well over a decade) - they easily qualified for a license and obtained one after they realized it was necessary. AGAIN - BE SURE TO READ THE HIDDEN REVIEWS on other sites! On yelp alone, he has about 20 NEGATIVE reviews, and many report a very similar experience to mine...including the owners' tendency to blame the customer and become very aggressive and nasty. I have no idea why only 8 positive reviews are factored into his rating.

http://www.azleg.gov/ars/32/01121.htm. See item 4 on the Arizona contractors board. A license is not required for maintenance work. We are not constructing, only cleaning and maintaining. In this case, we had the unfortunate event of equipment failure the first day. It was out of our control and the techs returned on the first date possible. Payment is required when the job is completed and viewed by the customer. Payment was made which means they accepted the work that had been done. A quote had been given for multiple grit levels and the client decided to only have a level one grit level performed (for a lower cost). When called out, the client was wanting the multi-level work done for the price of one level. This was all explained when the estimate was given originally and again when the tech came out again. We have thousands of happy customers as seen by 28 Kudzu reviews, 8 Living Social reviews (this month), and 5 Yelp reviews. We care about our reputation and try to solve customer concerns in a timely matter. Valleywide Stonecare

Darryl (company owner) and Renee did an excellent job! This service was long overdue, and it looks like it did when it was new. They were professional, punctual, and polite. They ensured my kitties were safe, moved furniture when necessary, checked me before moving plants, etc. They worked with me on timing, and negotiated with me on price for special stone. They even showed me the difference between clean and not yet cleaned. I liked them so much, I'm going to use them again next year! And they have specials for repeat customers. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Two men cleaned approximately 1800 sf of ceramic tile and grout- it looks like it did when it was new! They were thorough, but fast.
