FIrst the bad--there was a hiccup on the scheduling and so we had to do one day later. That's it. The rest was great. The Good: 10 our of 10! Robbie was awesome. He was on time (even early) and did an excellent job. I'm thrilled with the quality. He's very personable and professional and cleaned up after himself. This is a no-brainer, I won't need to call anyone else in the future. I'll gladly use him and have no qualms recommending him to anyone else.

I called him 3 times. First time, I left a message. He returned my call. I called back, it was a bad time to talk. He called me, left a message. I called him, it was a bad time to talk, again. I don't have time to waste on estimates. Either they want this job, or not. I guess not.

Rob Grower and his sons were most professional. They were punctual and courteous, as well as most conscientious about doing a good job on the drywall. I was very pleased with the work they did and felt as if their prices were most reasonable. If I have the need of drywall services again I will call them and would readily refer them to others.

Contractor gave us a fair price and came out as scheduled. One of the men who came out to do the work was the owner. They covered everything with plastic for cleanliness and did the work without any problems. In the end, all three ceilings look like new and you cannot tell there was ever any damage. We paid with a credit card after the service was completed.

Went great. Installer showed up on time and had drywall hung within a half day. Owner's son came out to clean up and noticed a small issue around a door and they came back and corrected it. Passed county inspection with no issues. Tape and texture was also done in less than a day. I'm very particular about the quality since I did drywall/tape/texture back in my college days and I cannot find any flaws in their finish. They even got it tight into the grooves on the T&G ceiling. I am extremely happy and would recommend them to anyone.

We just had a household water filtration system installed and lines needed to be run through the attic so there were three drywall holes in our office area. There were two in the ceiling and one large one in the side wall. The provider was fast and punctual. Robbie arrived on-time and was professional and friendly. The job only took about 2 hours. He matched our smooth ceiling and the wall texturing perfect. Overall: A+ job. We would use the provider again and would recommend. One bonus was their ability to supply a quote with sending the pictures via email. An in person visit was not needed for this job in order to secure an estimate. The estimate was spot-on.

The job was completed in one day. Texture of the ceiling was matched perfectly. Their work was excellent. We would definitely use them again.

The entryway drywall repair was done well. The garage drywall was satisfactory, but the drywall mud would not adhere to the drywall. Technician said that the drywall that was in place had not been primed properly, or perhaps dust was preventing the bonding. Some pieces of the dried mud have cracked off and fallen away, but it's not a big deal, since it's in the garage.

Provided a prompt estimate for the repair. Scheduled the service quickly. Arrived on time to perform the repair. Their work was excellent, the workmen were very friendly, explained what they were going to do, created a barrier to prevent dust from getting into the surrounding area. They retextured the surface perfectly. Cleaned up and removed all debris. Though the price was a little higher, the workmanship was worth the price.

We love this company and this family. From the father (who's done a walkthrough for estimates) to Robbie and his brother, they are a pleasure to be around and supremely professional. You would never know we had work done because they do their job so well. Robbie and his brother match the texture/wall pattern so perfectly I can't even tell where they fixed our home even when I scrutinize the area (and I do, because that's who I am). We trust them entirely, call them without reservation, and refer them to everyone. Their prices are fair and I've seen "deals" for potentially cheaper drywall work, but I wouldn't even dare. I feel you get what you pay for and these guys are worth every penny. Last but certainly not least, they are respectful when in the home, which is unfortunately not a given with contractors. We've trusted them in our home even when we couldn't be there. The Drywall Guys are amazing.

The job was finished on time and at the price given. The son arrived on time the first day and worked consistently until about 2:00 pm, removing the popcorn ceiling and prepping the ceiling. He tented the area and put down plastic to the walkways leading to the work area. He brought all his own supplies (music, water, his microwave to fix food). He worked very quickly and made it look effortlessly. He helped to move furniture back and installed lights and ceiling fan the following day after it dried. This company doesn't do painting, so you will need to have that done on your own. The work area was left very clean. The drywall replacement was done the second day, with the worker arriving promptly ten minutes early (very nice). He worked through until about 1:30 pm. He reinforced drywall with screws, taped off the area and mudded. He texturized in a texture which matches my existing very well. Quality work, I cannot tell where the drywall was replaced, it blends seamlessly. I have worked with numerous contractors and this company is very professional. They were quick to phone back to schedule an estimate and followed through.

This was my second time using Robbie & Jason @ The Drywall Guy. I can't say enough about how professional and what a great job these guys do. My family had a plastering company in Joliet, IL for over 40 years so I know good work when I see it. These guys removed the drywall around my skylight, framed the ceiling and put up new drywall. The texture matches perfectly. They are the only contractor who, upon entering my home, immediately lay down plastic to protect every area of my home where they did work. They ran the plastic from my front door, up my steps (taping it down) through my bedroom and into my bathroom where the work was to be done. The hole from my skylight was 4x4 and 36" deep. Excellent Company & I highly recommend them.

He did a great job. Everything looks like there were never cracks on the wall. I will use him in the future.

Robbie came during the holidays and gave us a fair estimate for the work. We scheduled for this week and Robbie and Jason showed up on time and got the job done a 1/2 day sooner than estimated. They were efficient, professional, and their work was top notch. They protected the floors, furniture, and fixtures and carefully put up plastic to prevent the texture spray from damaging other areas. The results were just beautiful. After a hard day of work, they even cheerfully helped us move a mattress which was too heavy for my wife and me. What a great experience, thank you guys and thank you Angie's List. We would have NEVER found them without you.

The Drywall Guy did an excellent job coordinating and communicating the job. They showed up when expected and completed the job on time. They were very friendly and answered all of our questions. We will certainly use them again when we move on to the other phases of our home remodel.

Needed a few drywall repairs. They came out to provide an estimate within a few days of my call. We scheduled an appt with them for 7:30 am - the dry walker showed up on time and did excellent work.

2 guys came at appointed time. I had been told by friends to cover everything because it would be messy. These guys were not. They put down tarps and a curtain from ceiling to floor. They were done in about 4 hours and cleaned up everything. They even fixed up a few small spots on the stairway. Job looks good and ready for paint.

I HIGHLY recommend these guys. My family had a plastering company in Joliet, IL for over 50 years so I was very critical of their work. Jason came out at the exact time he said he'd meet me for a quote. He took measurements, answered all my questions and emailed me the quote within 24-hours. He and his brother, Robbie, showed up on time, put on the work booties I had asked becuase of new flooring and did an amazing job!!!!! They covered all the floors & carpet they walked on with heavy duty paper, covered all electronics and furniture with plastic, and removed every speck of dust when they were finished. We removed a large wall mirror in our dining room and damaged the drywall. They repaired and matched the texture of my walls. They also removed decorative fluted drywall above my mantle and did an amazing job matching the existing texture. They drywalled and textured around my fireplace and bench (we removed tile). They repaired another company's drywall work on my ceiling. They removed a small mirror above my fireplace and matched existing texture. My dad, who has been in the business for over 40 years was my inspector and he agrees!!! They did an EXCELLENT job!. They were $15 more than the other estimate but my first impression of him is what sold me on them. They were very professional, respectful and I couldn't even tell they were there.

Robbie arrived right on time at 7:30am. He was, in my opinion, very professional and friendly. He did an excellent job of everything asked of him. The drywall is like new! I would definitely hire this company again and recommend them without reservation.

This is a family-owned and staffed business and it shows! They take tremendous care and pride in everything they do. It was so easy scheduling the estimate and the estimator arrived on time. The estimate was emailed to me the next day. The work was scheduled about a week out. The workers showed up on time and ready to go. Every area was covered and protected to keep non-impacted areas clean and dust free (drywall work is always messy and leaves dust everywhere). All the work was done with high quality - it's impossible to tell there was any previous damage or imperfects. They even covered over previous low-quality wall texturing so that the patches blended seamlessly with the rest of the walls. They listened to my questions and offered reasonable suggestions. The entire job took about 6 hours and was exactly on estimate. If I had a complaint (and I don't), it would be that they brought a microwave to cook their breakfast and their breakfast smelled way better than mine! I would totally use these guys again - small or large job.

Called the company few days prior to repair, Robbie Gower came, evaluated the situation and set up date for repair same week to help us due to travels plans. Both sons came on date and time agreed to, did the job. Left the place clean. They were very pleasant and knew their craft. Did a very good job and would hire again if needed.

Being on time is HUGE to me, and these guys were on time. They knew exactly what to do, and no time was wasted. They started and finished the work exactly in the time frame they said they would. The work they were doing was the result of a flood, and they were just one of many contractors who worked in my home in June and July. Cooperation of contractors is essential, or it screws up the timeline for all the other contractors. These guys worked perfectly with my timeline. As for price....I don't really know if they are competitive. I felt like for the work of two men for two partial days, the price seemed fair. I would not have wanted a handyman to try to do this work. No complaints, and I'd hire them again.
