Our carpet cleaner recommended Roof Star. I was very quickly convinced that Jeff knew what he was talking about and was familiar with the light weight cement tile I wanted installed. They were able to start the job in a timely manner, and finished on schedule. The roof looks great and we are very happy that we found Roof Star.

We had numerous companies out to consult on our roofing concerns but nobody was addressing the problem with the water pooling up and not properly flowing off the roof. Only Roofstar had a solution that addressed this problem. In addition, they still weren’t the most expensive quote. Now, after a few rains, we are no longer swimming in our kitchen. Yay! Thanks guys for thinking outside the box and coming up with a long term fix.

Jeff is as honest and professional as it gets! He was referred to me by another great professional I used and he did an excellent job in my roof. I do think having the roof inspected every couple of years is a good idea and do understand he can only go so far with his warranty.

We got 3 bids for the work needed on our patio. All 3 bids were comparable in price and all 3 companies were responsive, pleasant to deal with and provided detailed information on the work to be performed. One company tried to up sell us on replacing the complete roof on our home, saying there were many cracks in the tiles. The other 2 companies said our roof was in good condition ( a few cracks) but if we are not seeing any leaks, no need to replace. We selected Roofstar because their bid was all inclusive and we knew what the bottom line was going to be.

RoofStar was very professional from the beginning of getting the estimate. I had all the information I needed very quickly and they responded to my questions quickly and in full. As a home owner, making decisions about something as important as the roof was scary, but I felt that I could ask any question and get an honest answer and it made this process so much easier. As far as price, I did get several estimates and RoofStar actually had better pricing. It made the decision of choosing RoofStar even easier! I would highly recommend RoofStar if you are considering a new roof.

The roofer has followed up subsequently multiple times since my last review and I am satisfied with the explanation on the time involved with returning with the estimate. No service has been done yet but I will update the review with completion of the work

My experience was excellent from start to finish with this company. They were reasonably priced, professional, accomodating and did everything they said they would do and more. Really a great experience and I would reccommend Roofstar Arizona to anyone looking for a roofing contractor in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I interviewed approximately 8 contractors for this job. I am very discerning and not easy to please. I decided on Roofstar Arizona initially because they were willing to do the two layered underlayment system that I wanted using the product that I had chosen.. for a reasonable price. They were the last company I interviewed, so I already knew exactly what I wanted done and had an idea of the pricing I was willing to pay. After I met with the estimator, I had a good feeling that I would hire Roofstar Arizona for the project. I decided to call the owner of the company Jeff before I made my final decision. I spoke to Jeff that evening and went over the specifics of the job asked a lot of questions. I asked if they could start the job as quickly as possible. Jeff was very gracious and accomodating and answered all of my questions with specificity. Jeff also assured me that Roofstar could start my job in a timely fashion. Instead of sending the deposit in the mail, I decided to drop off the deposit to the Roofstar Arizona office the next morning. I met the office staff and really felt comfortable with the people and the company. Roofstar Arizona started my job as promised soon thereafter. Joseph and his team did an excellent job and finished in a timely manner. The crew was professional and did a superb job of keeping the jobsite clean and removing nails from the property. Roofstar Arizona is a great company all around. Overall an excellent experience and I highly reccommend them...

From beginning to end, the entire process went smoothly and as planned. This is my second time having Roofstar come out to work on my roof and they continue to deliver. The staff involved was professional, took their time explaining the work in detail, and did quality work. I was specifically engaged with Jeff, James, and Santiago. Everyone is highly knowledgeable and honest. The work included recoating the entire flat foam roof. The entire process took three days to complete. Day 1 involved power washing the entire roof, Day 2 involved applying a base coat, and Day 3 involved applying a top coat. I will continue to call Roofstar for any future roof work and they come highly recommended.

The estimator, James, was very pleasant, thorough, and did a great job of explaining what was needed to repair our roof. His quoted work was in line with the damage that we were aware of, i.e., he did not add any work that was not necessary. We thought that the quoted cost was reasonable considering the amount of work to be done and decided to go with Roofstar. We are happy that we did. Juan Diaz and his crew did an outstanding job with the repair and cleanup. Everything was accomplished per the quote and at the quoted price. We are very happy and will recommend Roofstar to any neighbors needing roof work.

They did a great job. They were very good and I was very happy with them. They were responsive and the communication with them was very professional and very well done. They were reliable and have excellent service.

Awesome. This company is professional and they care about their quality of work and the customer. Mike Rine came out pretty quick after our call and was the first contractor to return our call of several I called. We ended up evaluating five contractor bids. Mike was great, totally professional. He showed me where the leak was potentially coming from and what they would need to do to take care of it. They also bid on repairing the flat roof. Our roof was the original from 1986. So we knew time was limited and we were also considering re-roofing based on the previous leak history. Mike thought we could go another year or two, as we are counting our pennies. Mike explained everything thoroughly, regardless of the fact I had no roofing background. This was a major plus for Roofstar compared to other contractors who did not explain things. After reviewing 4 other bids from other A rated Angie's contractors, we decided to call Mike back to bid on the whole roof instead of just the repair. We felt he was trust worthy, detailed and honest. He still encouraged us we could wait another 2 years, but that since this was a good time for us with a 27 year old roof to move forward in doing the re-roofing now. As requested, Mike submitted a second proposal, this time for re-roofing instead of repair and repair to the flat patio roof and recoat. Any questions we had Mike answered and documented it in an email. A few things stood out: 1. They don't subcontract. This was a plus. The employees are theirs. 2. Manufacturer provides a 10 yr warranty on their underlayment material. 3. Roofstar provided a 10 year workmanship warranty. They did an awesome job. They were immaculate, every day the property was cleaned up and left SPOTLESS! At the end of the job the company owner Jeff Knudson came out and personally inspected the job and personally took care of a minor item I noted. I want to make a special note they were very conscious we had two small dogs in our backyard at times and they all dutifully closed our gate. Juan was the lead on the job, and handled everything on the daily basis. Roofstar's owner stopped by during the job a couple of times to review the status and at the end did a final inspection, this really impressed me. James came back and did a small touch up I requested. The whole team was very good. Their price was right at mid point of the bids we received.

I obtained 4 proposals to provide a new roof. Each of the contractors was "A" rated on Angie's list, and each was professional and punctual in coming to my home and providing a detailed estimate. However, Roofstar willingly spent time via telephone and email answering my questions and explaining some of the differences in the processes and materials used in the various quotes. I recently moved to AZ from upstate NY. Roofs in NY are very different from roofs in AZ, so I needed more explanation than I would have needed in the northeast. Roofstar's price was neither the lowest nor the highest. Once I decided to use them, they set a date, arrived on time, were polite and helpful, cleaned up the work site each day, and finished on time. I recommend them without hesitation.

They were punctual. Kept the job sight very clean. Very courteous. They did an out standing job. Comes with a great warranty for there work.

I have been looking for a roofer to perform a small repair on a leak in my roof. After calling SEVERAL roofers who wouldn't even return my calls, I finally found Roofstar on angieslist. They were responsive and came out quickly. Not only were they on time, but they were friendly and even a little early. After much frustration, I am grateful I chose them. I will report back on how the roofing repair actually goes when I get the estimate, but so far they have been wonderful.

Roofstar was 1 of 3 bids for the job. My description was to evaluate based upon my information and their expertise. One piece of information that was important was that this roof did not leak. 2 of the 3 bids offered no other alternative but a new roof. Mike @ Roofstar was the only one who offered up an alternative plan, taking into consideration the roof never leaked. The necessary fixes and repairs were identified, pictures taken and suggestions given. The next day a quote was sent for $2,500 to repair, which I accepted as the other 2 were at least 4X the cost. Within a week Jeff called to confirm a next day start and a 2 day job. We met the next day to confirm the type of work to be done and got started right away. The communication was excellent as Jeff has his own labor force, who were more than happy to talk about the roof and the job. No subs were use and I liked that...a whole bunch. I arrived on Friday to inspect the job and Santiago, hope I got his name right, was there working hard and described some "extra" work he had done on the repairs, that wasn't in the work order. I received the invoice and a 5 year warranty on the job from Jeff. Truly a pleasure to work with people who care about the quality and performance. A+ all the way around.

This is a great roof company. The owner came out within 24 hours from my first call to do the inspection and was the only roof company out of 4 companies that I called that could figure out the complex issue we had with the roof. His price was good and they did the repair two days sooner than I was told. I will use them on all future projects.

Bullet-proof inspection! It showed undisputable proof that the roof needed to be repaired and prevented buying a house with a sick roof! Awesome!

Jeff came and took measurements and offered a couple of different options to consider. He said he would provide me with a price to roof over the existing shingles and also a price for a tear off and reroofing. He would send it to my email address. He was very professional and answered all my questions. I was disappointed that I didn't receive the estimate until six days after he took my info. The estimate was very detailed and offered several options. Unfortunately, his price for the complete tear off and redo was about 10 percent above the other two estimates I received so I went with another company.

During a home inspection that was requested by the buyers of our home, it was discovered that our 13 year old roof needed some minor repairs. The first company I called was Roofstar. I explained to the receptionist Melody our situation, and that the repairs needed to be made as soon as possible to facilitate the close of escrow without delay. Within a matter of minutes I was contacted Mr. Jeff Knudson, the owner. I provided Jeff with the inspection reports. Later the same day an estimate of the cost for repairs, as outlined in the inspection report was received. In his estimate, Jeff said that he could make the repairs the next day. I informed him that I wanted to obtain two additional estimates. I received a second estimate that was $135.00 more for the same repairs. The third estimate was scheduled, however the estimator called in sick and was unable to keep the appointment. When this occurred, I contacted Jeff and told him that I wanted Roofstar to make the repairs. Two hours later, a crew of three Roofstar employees arrived to make the repairs. The crew went immediately to work and completed the repairs, which was documented in a Statement of Completion, that came with the invoice for payment. The entire experience starting with Melody, the receptionist, Juan the supervisor of the repair crew, and the follow up communication with Jeff the owner, was outstanding and reminiscent of the way business used to be conducted when customer service was a priority and the backbone of any successful business.

My initial consult was within just a few days and went extremely well. We had several bids but the gut feeling was to use RoofStar after meeting with the owner. I was impressed with the use of photos and overheard satellite views of the house to clarify where the repairs needed to be done. Work started the next day after I excepted the proposal which came as a complete shock . Things just don't get done here in Arizona without at least a week of waiting....... so it was impressive. The best part of the experience was the crew! I heard the vacuum going several times and was clean as when they started the job When they needed to enter the house to check in the attic, they both instantly took there shoes off. That definitely, didn't go unnoticed! The guys where polite and I really enjoyed the pleasant conversation once their several hour job was complete. I would feel confident to recommend to anyone looking for this type of repair.
