Rio Salado Electric

Rio Salado Electric was fast to respond and fast to take care of my kitchen lights. I would and will use them again for any future lighting needs.

The job was done as promised. The only rub was the two techs that were sent out seemed a bit unfriendly, and just did what they thought we wanted rather than talking through the options. We had three switches that worked three fans originally, they killed one of the switches and made the other two operate all three. When we expressed some concern, they said it would be additional cost for all three switches to work. We also asked about the cost to wire additional ceiling fixtures to light switches, and the quote seemed pricey so we didn't pursue. It seemed like the guys were ready to finish and leave ASAP.

Dec 10 started with one of my smoke alarms beeping every 30 seconds - bad enough for me, but it was really upsetting my dog. This alarm is located near the peak of my cathedral ceiling (about 13 feet up). I don't do well with heights, so fixing it myself wasn't an option. So, before I bought the Bid Deal, I called to make sure this "rescue" would be covered. I spoke to Larry, who told me how busy they were and that he didn't know if they would be able to help me that same day. I must have sounded desperate, because he gave me the name of a competitor to see if they were available. :=) The competitor was also not available, so I called Rio Salado back. Larry said he thought he could free up some time the next day and would get back to me with the exact time later that day. So, I bought the Big Deal. When he called back in the afternoon, he indicated his crew could be at my house in the late morning. He also agreed to have them call me at my office, so I didn't have to wait at home for them. To my delight, they called at 9:30 and said they were on the way. They arrived shortly after the call and found the problem right away - the wiring was loose, which is why the new battery my husband had installed over the weekend wasn't working. They proceeded to inspect the remaining 8 smoke alarms, fixed some other loose wiring, and replaced all the batteries!! I'm sure this was minor work to these guys, but they made my day!! And Larry was so nice, I will call Rio Salado any time in the future I need electrical work done!

They showed up on time, did the job requested within the time frame shown on the coupon so I only spent what I thought I would spend. I have used them twice already, both experiences were great!

They were about an hour late, but kept me posted as an earlier job took longer than expected. They replaced an electrical outlet and checked the electrical box outside, found no problems.

Very professional and willing to work with my schedule. However I ended up solving my electrical issue on my own and did not need his services.

Larry and his crew did a fantastic job! Everything looks great, and operates correctly. Cleaned up after themselves, and were very courteous. We will be using them again in a few months to add additional lighting to the outside of our house. Thanks!

It went well. The first time he came out, he just told it was just unusually sensitive and there was nothing that I could do. He didn’t do anything. I did some research on the web and discovered that they have that behavior if they are old. So I called him back and he came out again. Then he discovered that the reason it was tripping all the time was that my outside watering was hitting the sensor of the breaker. In a way I was dissatisfied at first because he didn’t offer a good solution and I had to do research and call him back. So when he came back I was very pleased that he was able to find a cause. It worked fine. The first time he didn’t offer more of an explanation. He actually discovered it by accident. In his mind the aging thing didn’t make sense. He happen to go outside to get something from his car, when he walked back he saw the sprinkling and that is how he figured it out. It was a big deal purchase. There were no extra charges.

When searching for an electrician on Angie's List I spotted Rio Salado's coupon for a service call + one hour of labor for $69 and couldn't pass it up. They had good reviews besides, so it wasn't a hard decision. I made the call and we scheduled a visit the next morning. Larry and his partner arrived right on time, after calling to confirm, and I told them what we needed and they took care of it in less than an hour. I had prepaid for the visit through "the list" and all I owed them was $17 for the outlet, the electrical box and the wire needed for the connection. They did a great job and we'll probably have them back for some other electrical work we've been wanting to have done.

It's been several months since the work was done but it went great. I had an outdoor light wired. The owner's son (sorry I don't remember his name) did the work. He was capable and personable. I would definitely recommend them and use them again! Good job!

The provider completed all the tasks. They were very patient and worked with me on my schedule. There was a mix up on the address initially but they insisted on coming to the intended address.

The service was performed as expected. The price was fair. It was standard, commercial quality. Their punctuality was about as expected.

They arrived on time. They did the work and answered a few other questions about electrical issues. They were friendly, helpful, and professional.

I signed up with Rio Salado electrical via an Angies list special for an hour of work. I wanted him to take care of a couple of small electrical quirks in my old house. The good news was, Larry was able to do some of the things quickly and eaisly. The bad news was, Larry looked at some of the things and told me that they couldn't be done without a lot of extra work upgrading wiring. I appreciated that Larry gave me this info up front, so I'd have to say I'm happy with his help and advice. I would work with him again or recommend him to other folks.

They came in to change the ceiling fixture in our laundry room, checked our outdoor lighting which was not working ,diagnosed the problem. Did all within an hour. They were efficient. We will use them again.

On time, courteous cleaned up and did dry wall repairs where needed.

It wasn't a very good experience. The technician did an adequate job, but he worked very slowly and even said a couple of inappropriate things to my wife.

He has been really nice. He is coming Friday and has been flexible with his schedule.
