Rio Salado Electric

On 4-26-14 I called Larry to make an appointment as I needed an electrician to take a look at my laundry room light. I explained the issue and was told that the earliest someone would be able to come out was on Monday 4-28-14. The time slot I was given was between 9am - 11am. I told Larry this works for me because I had to go to work in the early afternoon. Rearranged my schedule around and waited, and waited. At 1130 I called Larry inquiring if the electrician was on his way. I also reminded Larry I was due at work and therefore couldn't wait too much longer as it would, in effect prolong the time the guy needs to get the job done. Larry said he was in the field and had no idea what time the electrician was coming, but promised he would call me back. Within five minutes I got a call from Larry who said the "other guy" got hung up on a previous job and will be hour to hour and a half late. I asked why he wouldn't call me to give me the heads up and assume I have all day to wait around. UNACCEPTABLE. Just be upfront, let me know you are gonna be late. I understand things happen, but professionals should make the call when running behind and see if I had the time to wait or wanted to reschedule. Never again will they get my business. Thanks

They were about 15 minutes late but the guys were personable and worked efficiently. would definitely use Rio Salado again.

Even though he advertised that he was valley wide, he was unwilling to travel to my city on the opposite side of the Phoenix valley. So, he actually never any work. He said he couldn't refund me directly, so I went through the process on Angie's List. He didn't dispute my request and I was eventually refunded. I ended up just doing the work I wanted done on my own.

Clayton and Julio showed up right when they said they would and immediately got to work. I had 6 different wall lights to replace (both indoor and outdoor), as well an indoor ceiling light . Plus two ceiling fans and a couple of outlets to replace. They worked continuously until they were done, and they knew exactly what to do with all of the different items. Something I really appreciated was with the ceiling fans. The 2 fans are both in the living room, and they're both the same model fan. Clayton made adjustments to the fan remotes so that each fan responds to its own unique signal. That way, when I just want one of the fans to turn on or off, it doesn't signal the other one to do something I don't want it to! One ceiling fan was harder to install than the other because there was just a light there. They had to install a brace up in the ceiling that supports the weight of the ceiling fan. All in all they were very polite, and I had all of my questions answered. I would definitely call Rio Salado Electric back.

They were punctual, neat and very professional. Their price was also $1,000 less than another bid we had received!!

This is the second time that I have used Rio Salado Electric. They installed a dimmer switch in the wet bar. They were able to trouble shoot my patio lighting. They found that the timer was malfunctioning and were able to get my LED strip to work again. Very happy with the results. Clayton does good work!

Pleasant, friendly workers. Good work. Too expensive. It was a lousy "deal". The normal charge is $80/hour. The Angie's List "deal" was $69. for ONE hour for ONE worker, but two workers were sent for the 2 hour job, so it was only a savings of $11. I could have done better with another company.

The electrician showed up early, but called first. This was perfect as I work from home and could accommodate any time. Hey looked at the problem and immediately found where I had mis-wired the switch. A common mistake he tells me with these houses. Took about 15 min and done. Great Job!!

The work was done at my daughter’s house. He made contact with her right away to set up the appointment. They added an addition to an electrical outlet in the bedroom. She seemed very happy with the service.

He was fine. He was prompt and professional. However, I felt that he could've done the work faster.

They responded quickly to let me know that they didn't service my area. I would definately use them if they did service my area.

At first they were a little frustrating because when I call the guy told me that if he did not make it that day he would come to look at what we needed by the following Monday on Monday I called to see where they were and admitted they forgot about me but would try to get to me by Wednesday when they finally came out they got me scheduled for the following Monday at 8:30 am on Monday at 9:05 they finally showed up thankfully they only took about 30-45 min to get it done with as small of a mess as could be very well done very happy with the work just needs a little work on timing

It went well - we haven't had a relapse of all the smoke detectors going off since. I very much appreciated getting an exact appointment time. They were about 30 minutes late - they did call a few minutes prior to the appointment time to tell me they were running late. Very professional.

Great price and had appointment scheduled quickly and easily. They were on time and efficient. Would highly recommend them. Will be using them in the future.

Started off very good but problems occurred with installation of one fan by first tech. Another problem with another fan by second tech. However, things got straightened out somewhat quickly.

We have very high ceilings and canister lights. One of the lights broke and it was way too high for me to deal with. They came right out, fixed it immediately and I was left very satisfied.

The service worked out fine. He did okay. He got back to us with some additional stuff that we were going to look into. He gave us an estimate for some additional work but we thought he was pricey, and we are still looking into whether we will use him, or we will use somebody else. The work that he did was good, and he was conscientious. My wife seemed to be happy with him. My wife liked the fact that he lowered the light so it is brighter, but he left a hole in the wall, that I am going to get another guy to patch that up. My wife didn't have any complaints at all, and she was pretty happy with him. We would use him again if the estimates of the others were more than him.

The service was fine and the man was professional. He showed me how to flip the switch and informed me that I had to push hard for it to work. Overall, I was pleased with experience.

On time, professional, good price and outstanding job.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they were great. I spent about $60 over the price of the Big Deal for additional services. They showed up on time, did not make a mess and fixed everything I needed them to. Their pricing was very fair and they did a great job.

Larry handled all scheduling with SRP and City of Tempe. We we're not sure whether there would be any excavation necessary to access direct bury cables since the amperage of the actual meter was not known. Original quote did not include excavation cost however; once it was determined that digging would be necessary, the excavation charge was modest. Replacement of main panel took approximately 6-7 hours and all scheduling was well choreographed with SRP and City of Tempe personnel being on site when needed. Rio Salado also diagnosed and fixed a problem I was having with my dryer circuit for no extra charge. Upon completion on the new panel, Rio Salado electricians mapped out and labeled each breaker to the correct room/appliance in the house. Overall, very easy to work with and honest. I will be using Rio Salado again to run new circuits to my kitchen.

Arrived as promised, completed work exactly as stated and for the price estimated. Very pleased with Rio Salado, the workers were on time, very neat and cleaned up after themselves. We are very Pleased and will use them again.

That turned out just fine. I had them install a new outlet in the garage. They also did some other electrical repairs too. They moved a thermostat and they had to come back to install the outlet in the garage. He gave us the estimate before hand. An electrician and his assistant did this work. They were professional and had reasonable prices.

I did not have any trouble with them. There were no problems with scheduling. One technician was here doing the work. I felt the price was very good.
