We've had Rick out to the house a couple of times. Rick and his son, Ricky, are professional, experienced, thoughtful electricians. Hey... remodeling work is challenging at times... more so because the homeowner and their pets and children actually LIVE in the home. But Rick and Ricky know how to solve an electrical challenge while taking precautions to minimize drywall destruction and the harmful dust associated with opening walls and ceilings. Anyone whose had real electrical remodeling work done to their house knows an electrician who can keep damage to the drywall, etc., to a minimum is worth their weight in gold. WORK: Rick has installed a number of new receptacles to existing circuits, helped us to bring power to wall-mounted TV and other devices, replaced switches with dimmers, and helped us to work through and correct preexisting electrical challenges in our home. He is very realistic about remodeling work - and know he is going to be working to complete or extend work that other electricians began. It's all part of the job with Rick. BEST OF ALL: Wherever possible, Rick takes care to plan out the work in a way to avoid damaging interior walls and ceilings. This type of thoughtfulness has saved us hundreds of dollars in unnecessary drywall and paint repairs - not to mention the dust. WORK ETHIC: Rick arrived on-time, walked through the work, explained his approach before he made any changes, answered questions, made thoughtful suggestions, finished all the work he quoted, cleaned up the job site, and charged an extremely fair price. Even better, he maintained an energetic and positive attitude throughout the entire time. INVOICING: Is a breeze. Rick always sends an itemized bill via email the evening after his completes a job - and you can pay ONLINE by credit card or directly from your account. IN SHORT: Rick's Advanced Electric is an honest, professional and experienced electrician that I can confidently recommend. He always returns our calls. We always call Rick whenever we need electric work. UPDATE: We've had Rick and Ricky (his son) out to the house for multiple projects now. Some time ago, Rick convinced me to we would save money and time if we worked with him on an hourly basis, so we tried it. In just under 2 hours, he had added (4) new 15A receptacles on existing circuits, corrected an old 20A GFI outlet, and added a new 20A receptacle in our garage. What a savings over the per item charges most electrical contractors quote!!
Description of Work: Add electrical outlets for wall mounted TVs, install dimmer switches, flip outlets in the wall, install new recessed LED lights, install / repair outdoor landscape lighting, install/repair cabinet lighting, install outlets in garage, install ceiling fan, install chandeliers and wall lighting, install and replace exhaust fans

I first spoke to Rick about installing additional lighting in my garage while he was on site at my home responding to another issue. At that time, I had knocked the power out in the garage and the exterior of the house (entirely user error) and he came over well after hours (almost 9 p.m.) and quickly fixed it at a very minimal cost. For the garage lighting, Rick suggested a range of options, and I picked one of the more expensive ones. He was very careful to make sure that I understood the cost of my choice (the bulbs are also expensive) and would be happy with it in the long term. The fixtures I chose are special fluorescents with mirrors behind them to increase the illumination. Rick and his son came out to install them just as scheduled. They consulted me about the placement and put the new fixtures exactly where I need them. When they were finished, they carefully cleaned up the garage and the laundry room (attic access for wiring) so I was not left to deal with any mess. The actual cost came in a bit under the estimate (which was itself much less than the budget I shared). Overall, I was very pleased with his service and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Rick found a breaker switch I had not noticed. Neither had the hot tub repair person. The switch was flipped and the hot tub is working just fine. Rick could have reworked the electrical system and charged me hundreds of dollars. Instead he solved the problem in three minutes. I recommend Rick. He is honest, straight forward, communicates well and has a good sense of humor. He was responsive and came very quickly.
Description of Work: My hot tub lost electricity. I was told I would have to rewire the entire system. I called Rick to do the job.

I called Rick late in the afternoon to try and schedule an appointment later in the week. To my surprise he said he would stop by after a job he was working on. He showed up at five that evening and I walked him through the problems I was having with the GFI outlets throughout my home. He was very knowledgable with the age of my home and quickly assessed and fixed the problems. I walked him through a few other items I was wanting done. He explained everything to me on what needed to be done, and what i could do on my own. It was a very pleasant experiance. A few weeks later he came out and ran a new 20 amp line to the gfi's in each bathroom, added an exterior outlet, andd a few other misc items. Rick and his crew showed up on time, did great work and cleaned everything afterwards. Where the gyp board needed to be removed to feed lines the cuts were clean and square, and placed back flush with the wall. I will be using Rick for all future electrical work. Use these guys... they are knowledgable and honest.

Rick has done great work for me in the past, so I didn't hesitate to call him again. I needed 120v service to power the installation of a whole house fan on the roof. I had some idea of how it would be done, but he had a much better solution and had the line run in a very short time. He coordinated with the roofing company that was doing the installation.

Rick said he would be there at 8am to start his project of installing an outside fan and adding a 30 amp switch for a golf cart. He arrived promptly at 8am to begin the work and was completed at 11. To keep costs at a minimum, he had me purchase the item he would need to install. Ricks work speaks for itself, the fan had a slight wobble, which I did not notice, and jumped right on it, attention to detail. The 30 amp plug went in without a problem. Do yourself a favor, and save some money. Call Rick.
Description of Work: I always use Angie's List to find a professional. After the top electricians on the list gave me bids on what I wanted completed, I choose Ricks Advanced Electric on the advice of a friend and glad I did after the bids presented to me.

Rick is wonderful to work with. He offers good advice about the scope and benefits of the electrical work. He is extremely polite and considerate as he works in the home. All the work was performed quickly and professionally. He carries a portable vacuum and there is never any mess left behind. I will have more work for him in the near future.
Description of Work: I moved into a new home and had an extensive "punch list" provided by the home inspector. Rick came over to estimate the job and then agreed to:Install a GFCI outlet outside the home, install lights in the garage, replace all the breakers in the main panel, replace the switches throughout the house, install a new outlet in the service area and relocate a light fixture in the dining area
