When I called John said he'd check the schedule and call me back. He called right back and we scheduled the work for the next day. They showed up on time and got to work. We paid by the hour and were very impressed that the job was completed quickly and they did not waste any time. They actually finished a quicker than we expected so we paid even less than we anticipated. We would definitely hire him again and would recommend his services to anyone.

It went great. I had a lot of difficulty finding someone who would move this one item without taking advantage. I understand that the cost has to be worth their effort to come over, but I really appreciate the efforts of these two young men.

It was a fantastic experience. They were very professional and very friendly. They took ownership of the situation. They moved very large furniture without a scratch, even with a huge table. They did whatever I asked them to do, even dusting chairs, they offered to do themselves. I will use them again. I highly recommend to use them. I would give them ten stars. I will use them again.

Just on a hunch I called John yesterday, not thinking I could arrange something on such short notice for the weekend. The stove needed to be picked up by Sunday night and John came through with flying colors! He said he'd work my delivery into the other jobs he had already scheduled and he did just that, keeping in touch the whole time. The stove was safely delivered a short while ago by a very positive natured fellow, who didn't seem to mind that he was working late Sunday night to complete my job. I would use his services again without hesitation.

John was in constant contact, from the day I contacted him, until we actually met at Sam's club. They were professional, engaged and kind to my dogs and cat. They wasted no time in removing the old couch, even going so far as to double check that I had not left anything in the cracks of the sofa (and I had). In came the new couch, wiith them cheerfully assempling and dealing with the electrical part of my couch (has usb ports and an outlet section to it). John made a point to ask if they could help in any other way. I was very pleased with thier service and would definately use his company again.

It went well. They were running late, but called to let us know. John & his helper worked quickly and professionally. We would use them again.

John was great. We set a time for him to do the work. the job before mine took longer than John expect. He called me right away to let me know and we rescheduled based on my availability. He was here right on time and moved the furniture in less than an hour. Added benefit was that he took the furniture to donation center so that I didn't have to store it in my garage. I would highly recommend this company.

They were very responsive to my online inquiries about their services. They also answer their phones and called back when they said they would. They were available within less than 24 hours and they made it work to my schedule. Very polite and ready to go from the moment they arrive.

They showed up on time and were very friendly. They wrapped all the furniture for protection and loaded the truck quickly. They followed me to my house and unloaded the items just as quickly. The whole thing took less than an hour.

Furniture that needed to be moved around after my fire place was resurfaced. I wasn't sure anyone would do such a small job as moving the furniture, laying out a huge rug (17x13) and padding, and then replacing the furniture back on top. Luckily for me, John (the owner) had a job in my area and on the way they stopped by and quickly moved everything around. This company is reasonable in price, quick to respond to my phone call, very professional, and polite.

This is the second time I've used Rent A Friend to move my father. John and Crew are professional and do a great job. This time around, my request was very last-minute. I was pleasantly surprised he was able to accommodate our schedule. I highly recommend this company and rates are reasonable.

Rent-A-Friend didn't let me down. The job went smoothly and in fact, the attic area is now better organized than it was before. John and his helper were courteous and professional. No wasted time for these guys. They were everything I needed and expected. I will call them again any time I need help and especially when it's time to hang Christmas lights on the house this Christmas . . . a job that, sadly, I can no longer do. We bought a heavy mahogany desk (5 pieces) that we needed moved from our garage to our upstairs office. Since it was furniture and I thought getting it upstairs might be tricky due to our stairs and hallway configuration, I did not just want to hire and quot;laborers,and quot; but the quotes I got from movers were quite high (eg truck fee, travel fee, crew of 3 guys, etc.), so I was quite pleased to find John at Rent-A-Friend, who quoted me $100 for 1 hour, which seemed very fair. The guys showed up when scheduled, worked hard, and even put the desk together for me. Furthermore, they offered to move some other miscellaneous stuff for me since the job had not taken a full hour. I cannot recommend these guys strongly enough. If you need some furniture moved around or have a small/medium move, these guys are it!

I used to move furniture years ago during college summer months- so I know if someone knows how to handle furniture- and these guys were professional and very capable. John has a great personality and he and his helper worked very hard and fast- and were very careful. I needed help with the heavy stuff, and these guys did a great job. Done in an hour and 15 minutes. Cost was $35 drive fee and $55 an hour (for two guys). I liked them so much- I through in an extra $20! They were well worth the money spent...

Moved from Chicago to Phoenix and had 5 storage pods ( 5 by 8 feet ) to unload. Talked to John 2 weeks prior but I wasn't sure about the exact date Pods were going to be delivered. John was very flexible and we set something up for Jan. 18th A.M. Kept in contact with him and 3 days before told him it was a go for that date. He showed up with 2 other guys on time and they started unloading the pods which had a lot of heavy boxes. They worked very fast and efficient and had everything done in 1 and 1/2 hours including taking a desk apart that didn't fit in the door and putting it back together. They did a great job and I would definitely use them again. Thanks for making the move to our new home much easier.

Wow. I have used Angie's list many times and I am way overdue on several reviews, however, these folks were so amazing if I had not been so exhausted at the end of the night I would have posted right then. We originally had lots of strong helpers scheduled for this work. Unfortunately, the dates moved and they were not available. We were in a real bind and needed someone within a few hours. I called several companies and they were the first to call back. They made it work. They showed up early and had it done in lightening speed with precision and kid glove care. Really, I could go on forever. No surprises. Price exactly as quoted. They treated our belongings as if they were their own. They could have take longer as they were being paid by the hour, but they did not. They were kind, smiling and pleasant. They even whistled while they worked. Not a single scratch or dent on anything. I will not only use them again, but I have already sang their praises to several people I know.

John was awesome. Very professional, hard working, fun, fast, careful and safe! I was very pleased with how fast they got all those heavy cartons and buckets of sealant off-loaded and stacked in the house. He arrived when he said he would ad handled everything perfectly as he and his helper moved and stacked everything inside faster than that I expected. Before he left, I showed him a heavy desk in my office that I will need to move out of the room before the new floor is installed next week. John took a look and agreed to move the desk on the evening before the floor is to be installed and move it back in the next day . . . at no charge! Every other mover would charge extra for that, especially when it involves another trip! I would definitely recommend John and Rent-A-Friend Labor Services AND I will hire them the next time I have something heavy to move. Don't waste your time waiting for your friends to show up, just Rent-A-Friend!
