This company sent someone out to check out my roof. He said I basically needed a bit of caulk and that there were no major repairs. He was new with the company, and couldn’t give me an estimated price on the spot. I finally got the official estimate three days later ... for $7900!!!! I ended up having this repair done by a different company for $300. Just be sure to get a second opinion before going with these guys!

I was contracted by red m & n roofing within nineties of my online info entered on Angie's list side. Very polite of rep had owner call me to answer questions I had that he could answer, owner called me, got questions answered then I schedule field rep to evaluate “Ron” came, he was very professional & courteous. Then schedule repatriate, crew arrived on 9-19-16 on time, used care in respecting access to the roof & not to damage newly painted house. Also 6-8 new tile pieces were replaced as “Ron” thought they were in floor condition.
Description of Work: Repaired approximately 300 sq ft area found on tile roof – already previously worked on but fixed a temporary staples holding original felt –roofing material together – which was allowing water to seep tarn staples were placed by we (current owner) bought home in 2012.

Very well. Crew was on time, used great care in accessing the roof with their ladders as we just had our house painted. The repair was a small one and they were done in a couple of hours. After they were done we were visited by a supervisor who inspected the work. Overall, it was a very good experience working with this company, from start to finish everyone Was very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend Red Mtn Roofing to anyone and would not hesitate to hire them again.

I called 2 days ago (Oct. 3rd) and was told by a lady an estimator could come out Oct. 5th at 4:00 pm. The estimator Ken called Oct. 4th around 5:00 pm and said he had some early morning openings was I interested or able to do the estimate earlier. I text him this morning Oct. 5th at 5:00 am and told him I could only make our 4:00 pm appointment. Ken calls today 20 mins. before 4:00 pm and says he is running late and that he is in Phoenix and he could possibly make it at 4:30 pm. I called back at 4:00 pm and he was still in Phoenix, so with traffic he would be at least an hour late. I cancelled my appointment.

I called to get an estimate - provided all my information and preferred dates to have the estimator come out. He said he would need to "contact someone" and would call me back. At the time I am writing this review, it has been over an hour and I have still not received a call back to set an appointment. I have called two other places listed on Angies list in that time and was able to promptly schedule estimate appointments. I will not be using Red Mountain Roofing, as I am concerned with the level of service I will receive with this business based off of my initial experience just trying to schedule an estimate.

Ken,the estimater, was very knowledgeable, responsive and patient taking care to fully specify the work to be done. Chris, the owner also came by to answer questions and offered several valuable suggestions to improve the integrity of the new roof. Although I was away during most of the job, Gilbert, the foreman, kept me informed by telephone and photo's as the job progressed. My neighbor and a contractor/ friend both remarked as to the professionalism of the company I had hired. The job was done on time, on budget and the area was cleaned up every day.
Description of Work: Complete reroof. Removed existing flat roof to substrate, replaced with polyurethane foam roofing system. Replaced six skylights, scuppers, flashings and installed new drain guards. On the tiled area the tile was removed and set aside for reuse. Removed existing felt, fir strips and all roof related items to substrate. Installed new tile seal, fir strips, edge metal, flashings, hip and ridge closures and valley metal. Reset existing tile per TRI manual.

The roof was replaced (tile) using our existing tiles. There was no English speaking foreman on site even though we were told there would be. Work started on Saturday. They said they would come the next day sunday and they did not show. Honestly we work full time but could tell the work was not done every single day from how the debris and tiles looked when we came home each day. The work was sporatic and I think was finished in maybe a week later. We were told it would be a 4 day job. We did not get daily communication but a foreman did stop by once. In fact debris was left on top of our roof and in our drive way for several days with no work being done leaving us to wonder if the roof was finished or not. (it was). When we addressed this then the owner came by. The crew threw garbage in our garden which my husband picked up. The also ran over and killed two shrubs in our front garden. We talked to the owner and he agreed to send someone out to replace the plants (I gave him the names of the plants). Three weeks later no plants no contact I had to again leave a voice mail. I get a call back from the receptionist they are no longer willing to replace the plants. They will mail us a check for $50. So now we will be doing the labor of replacing what they ruined. The other snafu in our situation is when we went to pay we were then informed and only then that they add 3% to the price for us to use credit card which was not discussed when we negotiated the price. Since we had painters coming we had no time to reschedule a new roofer so we just had to go with this company. I am not a roofer. I think the quality is probably fine. But the entire experience has been lack of communication disorganization and disappointment and bad surprises.
Description of Work: We hire this roofer due to their good reviews on Angies list and that it seemed they were detailed and would keep in contact with an English speaking foreman on the job if we had questions. The website also said they would take a credit card and since we have one with a low interest rate (lower than home equity loan rates right now) we opted to use this for payment.

Response from Red Mountain Roofing, LLC
Hello [removed member name], We are sorry for any inconvenience that we have caused you. Sometime installing a new roof system is not always a pleasant experience. We always try to respect people's property and perform quality work. The crew leader on your job was Sergio. He has been with us for several years and speaks fluent English. However, there are men on his crew that do not speak English. The job was started on January 23rd and completed January 28th. Our guys are not authorized to work Sunday. Five working days to complete a roofing project this size is not uncommon. It is also not uncommon for debris to fall of the roof during the course of construction. As far as running over the shrub that was due to our supplier when they were roof loading your material. They did not make us aware of that until we got the call from you. We did put a phone call into the manager of the supplier and let them know the damage done to the property. After Chris's visit with the site he felt that it was just broken branches and after discussion with you thought everything was okay. As far as the 3% charge goes that is the processing fee that the credit card charges us and we just pass the cost along. The owner did inspect the roof at the completion and verified high quality roof system.

Other than the weather delaying the start date, it went great. I would use them again any day. And would not check with anyone else first, Brook was the office clerk and Ken the estimator etc. They are not fly by night or get rich quick folks. The only thing about is was my condo is small so had to wait until Ken took care of the big guys in my area first. But it was well worth it. If you are reading this call now!!!

To begin with their bid was the lowest bid and their salesman Ken was extremely upfront and respectful. The job was the best I have ever witnessed. They were on-time and finished with no problems. We are extremely happy with their performance and the workmanship. We would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Red Mountain Roofing re-roofed our home in an extremely professional manner. The job was excellent, and the crew did everything we asked of them. After a lot of research I was really looking forward to working with this company. I called and a really nice guy came out to give me an estimate. He spent a lot of time with me and I really felt great about the project. Unfortunately I never received the estimate. I called to follow-up and a friendly woman who answered the phone apologized and said she would get it to me in a couple of days. Still nothing came so I emailed asking about the estimate. I received a voice mail asking me to call so they can schedule someone to come out to give me an estimate. At this point I gave up because they clearly do not have their office together. So disappointing because I was sure this was going to be my roofer.

Red Mountain Roofing is the best roofing company we could have hoped to find. We had a minimum of 5 estimates and I found myself always going back to Red Mountain Roofing because Kevin, their sales representative, was down to earth and appeared to be someone I could trust. I was never disappointed in our choice as Red Mountain Roofing provided everything they promised and more. Most of the other estimates we received tried to come in low by skimping on the quality and materials somewhere in their estimates. Red Mountain actually listened to what we wanted and did his best to give us a good price for the services we wanted and to make recommendations that would help us achieve our goal of an energy efficient roof. This was refreshing after having other companies trying to tell me what I did or did not want. | |Once the job began, their supervisors listened well, answered questions, and showed us what they were doing and why. They always treated us with respect when approached. When I called the office to ask about the schedule due to delays in getting materials (this was not Red Mountain Roofings fault) the owner, Chris, came to our home the next morning to talk about it and lay out the revised schedule. Red Mountain Roofing made sure that the delays caused by the tile company were kept to a minimum, pushing them to bring in the materials quickly from another state. Their crews are meticulous in their work, paying attention to details and fixing things that were done incorrectly when our house was built. They also tried to keep the mess to a minimum when working around our house, even though they were tearing off a complete roof and putting on new tiles. They did new skylights for us as well, which are just perfect with our roof and energy efficient too! I would highly recommend this company. Personally we would not consider using anyone but Red Mountain Roofing for our roofing needs. They are an excellent company with good prices, good people, and good ethics. What more could you ask for? The light brown roof is the roof with skylights before the renovation, and the darker roof is the roof after the renovation.

They showed up on time (actually early), worked the whole time and cleaned up after themselves. They even did a bit of carpentry by removing some pergola pieces, cutting them to a new size, and then replacing them after the roofing job was done. I'd highly recommend them. I gave them a C for price only because it seemed a and quot;fairand quot; price. I have no background in comparison pricing to give them a meaningful grade in this category.
