Norris Air was professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They have wonderful customer service, and I truly felt that their HVAC professionals had my best interest in mind when it came to the decision of simply making a repair to my AC unit or replacing the entire unit. They helped me weigh the pros and cons of both options and the short-term and long-term benefits. I felt cared for and loved by this company and I am truly thankful. When the actual service repair was done, they were punctual and got to work right away. They tirelessly worked to get my new unit up and running despite my home having some challenges. I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision to use Norris Air. They have been simply fantastic and I am truly thankful for all that they have done!!

Norris Air was very patient in waiting for roofers to do their part of the work. But they kept in touch with us and with other contractors to expedite the work. It's a good company.
Description of Work: Remounted AC on redwood platform (previously mounted wrong). Also removed solar panels from foam roof so that roof could be sealed and replaced.

During the Spring, 2013, April check up we were told by the Norris serviceman that we needed a surge protector installed on our heat pump at the cost of $176.79. After being told a personal story of the serviceman's home's heat pump being hit by lightning and our heading into monsoon season at that time of year, we were concerned and of course, bought it. This heat pump is not old. It was installed by Norris on 07/02/2010. From the first day it was installed, it put out a horrible smell through the air conditioning vents every time it came on. The same was true in the fall during the heating time. After our complaining a lot and Norris sending out specialists they finally replaced it with a new one 04/12/2011. This last one has been better but we still get a strange mechanical oily burning smell in the first of the air-conditioner and the heating seasons. When we tell Norris this, they don't have an answer for us. So our heat pump is 3 years old this month. We have had heat pumps in different homes in different states. We have never had odor coming through the home when the heat or air is on. We have had conflicting comments from different servicemen from this company, who by the way always sends a different serviceman to our home. When the heat pump was installed we were told to change our home air filter every month and use the cheap non-pleated filters. So we faithfully did that and we were praised for that until last October. The serviceman that came last October (another different serviceman) told us we needed our coils cleaned at the cost of $150.00 because we had been using the cheap non-pleated filters. He said we should not use the cheap filters but should instead use the pleated filters and change them every month. Who are we to believe? I have commented to the company, since they installed our heat pump, that they leave it to me to contact them to set up the yearly maintenance plan. I have reminded them that they have my email address and yet they do not email me to set it up. After going through all of this for 4 years with this company, we are now looking for someone else to service our heat pump through Angie's List. We want a company that knows what they are doing; that shows us respect by not charging us more than what is being charged on the market for twice a year service calls; that will not try to sell us something we don't need and finally that is consistent with the way they train their service people.
Description of Work: We were told we needed to have our coils cleaned on our heat pump at the cost of $150.00. We paid $140.00 at the beginning of 2013 for a maintenance service to include a twice per year full service check up and the costs involved.

Dear [Member Name], We are truly sorry that you are not satisfied with the service we have provided you for several years. We are committed to 100% customer satisfaction and would like the opportunity to resolve any issues that are still happening. After the Norris Air Club maintenance check in 10/2013, you did not contact us so we were unaware that you were still having issues. We have stood behind our product and Customer satisfaction as we showed by replacing your first system that was installed in 4/2010 with another system that was installed in 7/2011 at absolutely no cost to you. As far as the Club Maintenance contract, you have had our Ultimate Savings Agreement contract for 2+ years. All of our technicians have ongoing training through Heat Pump Council, Coleman, American Standard, Amana, Venstar & Honeywell as well as ongoing In-house monthly training. Our technicians are all trained to recommend 30 day filters for your system, due to static pressure & additional stress on systems in Mobile Homes and Park Models, we recommend the regular fiberglass filters and not the pleated ones. We would really like to continue being your HVAC company, please give us a call so we can send a Factory Representative to evaluate your system.

Obviously this price was absolutely outrageous. I will say that they were responsive to the emergency call and the A/C was fixed properly.

The repairman replaced the defrost board but could not complete the wiring properly and jumped the board that cost $570 and he said it wasn't needed. He needed to contact the manufacturer for wiring details and would return to finish the job. That was 28 days ago and he hasn't shown up yet. Not even a phone call to give me an excuse why he hasn't finished the job. I've had fans replaced in the AC before and didn't have to pay for a capacitor at the time. He insisted it needed to be replaced also even though the one in there was still good. I have my doubts now.

They have good customer service and the pricing I thought was really reasonable. I would recommend them if that's the service someone is looking for because they do a good job at a good price and they're professional.
Description of Work: I've had some air conditioning and heating stuff done with Norris Air Inc. They had to fix my air conditioning because the unit was kind of leaking so they had to come in and seal it, replace the Freon, recharge it and all those kinds of things.

Description of Work: I thought I wrote and posted a review back in 2011 but apparently not. So, to respond to Angie's request I will summarize as best I can. It was the middle of July and about 115F every day. The a/c went out on my "guest cottage" at 3165 E. Main St, Lot 65, Mesa AZ. I telephoned Norris Air (who had installed the old a/c) and they quickly responded. They gave me a detailed estimate and the cost of a new replacement. I decided total replacement was the better bargain in the long run. My concern was when could they perform installation? The very next morning (early) workers arrived and through the 115F heat. At about 1600hours they asked me to turn on the a/c and I felt cool air immediately and it got colder. Obviously it had to "work like a champ" immediately. I also purchased a service contract (at a reasonable cost) for 10 years. Overall, I was quite pleased with Norris Air, especially at their speed of response.

I own a rental trailer and was not physically there. The A/C unit was still producing heat and moving air but no cooling. Corey of Norris Air lead me to believe that the compressor was drawing all kinds of excessive current and the entire unit needed to be replaced at a cost of $3463 to $3682. Feeling I needed a second opinion, I joined Angies list. With your great search tools, I found Armer Corp. and had them out the next day. Adam Armer found a corroded connection on the compressor wiring. Total repair cost of $187. Thank you Angies list!!

See above paragraphs. I think I covered everything there. The replacement unit is a Coleman (well known brand name).
Description of Work: Noticed on Tuesday afternoon my a/c stopped cooling. Stopped by Norris Air to arrange a service call. They were quick to schedule a visit the next morning (Wed) and their rep was on time. He pointed out the problems (condenser malfunction, unit "going to ground" and a few other things). He telephoned his office and quickly a rep was contacting me to arrange a meeting THAT MORNING. The rep arrived, evaluated the situation and then outlined all my options. (I knew sooner or later I would have to replace the entire system). I elected to replace the old unit at this time since I was going to keep the property for several more years. The installation crew was scheduled for Thursday morning and they were on time (per their phone call to me). The outside weather was 105F+ but the crew had hats and worked efficiently. They had to relocate the unit around the trailer house. This required cutting into some concrete and building some ductwork. They enlarged the inside floor vents to increase efficiency and a return vent. The installation took most of the day in oppressive heat. They finished in the afternoon, showed me how to work the new a/c controls, cleaned up after themselves and returned to their office. I can not say enough about Norris Air and the swiftness of their response to my plight in extreme hot weather. They were completely professional and got the work done in the time they said it would take. I was amazed that they were "used to" working in the extreme heat and understood my plight. They came to my rescue. Because of the type of housing unit I had there was a limited selection to choose from for replacement. The old unit was really old but this did not deter Norris Air. They could solve the problem. They quoted me costs for both the "quick fix" and for the replacement unit. Costs appeared to be fair and reasonable and to my satisfaction. Would I recommend Norris Air for emergency action should your a/c stop working in 105-115F+ heat? YES, IN A HEARTBEAT. I can not say enough good things about their workers.

I had a technician come to fix my air conditioning on Friday. He suggested that I install another register (vent) in the living room to get more air without working the air conditioner too much. We had a call back from the front office on Monday. The company sent 2 men on Monday afternoon. They had the work done in an hour or so. They did not leave any mess. The air conditioner did work better. The price did not seem too much for the job.
Description of Work: A new register (vent) was installed in my living room. I live in a park model (400 sq. ft.). The air duct under the house was split into a "Y" to get air to the new duct.

The serviceman was knowledgeable, cleaned up everything, and I was happy. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was their scheduling problems. Up to five days might have been okay, but it seemed unusual that it was exactly 2 weeks... a little fishy.
Description of Work: They were referred to me by another company who does not service mobile homes. They repaired my A/C. I called for an appointment, which was set for June 21. They called on that day and rescheduled due to emergency calls. They pushed me back another 2 weeks exactly.
