It didn't!! I am still looking for a good roofer.
Description of Work: I wanted to hire them. They came out to look at the property fairly quickly, but that was the last thing they did quickly. I had to wait for responses for over a month, and never did get a response to my request to set details of the project. If they are not responsive when you are hiring them, what makes you think they will be timely during construction>??

I informed the owner that the roof had a minor leak prior to the start of the job. He said he would have his crew put extra sealant at the upper edge of the patio roof where it meets the overhang of the roof of the main part of the house. That appeared to have been done and the roof looks nice (see attached photo). However, the minor leak is still there. Assuming this would covered by the warranty I have tried to contact the company on several occasions within the warranty period but have never received a response.
Description of Work: Replace 12ft x 60ft covered patio rolled asphalt roof. The work was completed in 2013 with a four year warranty.

Mulcock Roofing was our third estimate. Price estimate was lowest of the three. Angie's List gave an overall great reviews. Based on how Mulcock proposed doing the work; the price and Angie's reviews, we chose Mulcock. The Mulcock people performed exactly as they said they would, and on time! The final price was as submitted, with no added extras. We were not disappointed - quite the contrary. We'll certainly use Mulcock's services again, when needed.
Description of Work: Removed flat patio cover roofing material and metal drip edge, along with wood fascia and trim. Replaced roofing material and metal drip edge along with wood fascia and trim. Tied to existing roof. Painted new fascia and trim to match existing. Cleaned up and hauled away all debris. Five year warranty on workmanship.

Description of Work: Mulcock Roofing was a subcontractor used by the primary contractor I used in a renovation of my house. I met both the owner of Mulcock Roofing and one of his crews at the house. The lead crew man walked the roof with me pointing out the various repairs that were required and he explained how the repairs would be done. The owner and the crew were professional in their approach and demeaner. | |The job required removing the peak tiles to replace the under lying support structure two by fours and replacing the peak tiles and reapplying sealing compound at the end caps. The quarter rounds along the edge of the roof were removed to replace the underment material, flashing was added to channel water and the quarter rounds were reset. A four by four foot area of the roof support plywood was replaced due to water damage and the tiles reset. A number of tile were replaced or repaired.

Our home was built in 1953. We've owned it for 20 years, and this year finally attached a carport. The carpenter did a truly spectacular job. The original roofer did NOT -- the plan was to tie the carport roof into the existing shingles on the house, but he made an unholy mess of it. So bad that with the very first rainstorm water flooded through the carport roof and poured into the house. Mulcock Roofing to the rescue. Recommended by my insurance agent (after I had interviewed and dismissed seven other prospective roofers), Steve came in at an excellent price. Steve Mulcock's first crew removed the original lousy carport roof that had been completed just one month earlier, then discovered that the roof of the house itself lay under FIVE layers of old shingle! (Code is maximum two layers -- the previous owner had simply added another layer himself every few years.) Off it came. Wood underneath was replaced or perfectly repaired wherever necessary. Two days. Steve's next crew laid the shingles. They looked like one of those stop-motion videos where the action speeds up to compress days into minutes ... one minute the roof was bare, the next minute it was covered with shingles. Great-looking shingles, at that. Two days, including cleanup. When they left, the roof not only made the entire house look new, the place was spotless -- not a speck of wood, paper, shingle or anything else was left behind. Remember, I interviewed seven other contractors -- all from Angie's List -- before I decided on Mulcock Roofing. All of them had good reviews, almost all interviewed well. Not one of them came out as well as Mulcock. Yet I see he has no reviews as yet. Let's fix that. You should call them.
Description of Work: Replaced our entire roof (2000 sq.ft. coverage) with handsome new shingles and ceramic cap tiles, including fixing a truly terrible job that had been done by another contractor on our new carport. Also replaced the old galvanized drip edge with white, which added a perfect offset to the trim color.

THIS JOB WAS BOTCHED UP BY AN UNKNOWN ROOFER AND PROBABLY A FEW GUYS FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD COMPLETELY WRONG. MULCOCK CAME AND SHOWED ME WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND IT WAS. VERY GOOD!!! THIS WORK WAS UNDER A CONTRACTOR THOUGH THAT I WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE BREAKDOWN FOR THE WORK DONE ON MY HOME, JUST A FEE. SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN 3 ESTIMATES, AND I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE GONE WITH SOMEONE ELSE. ROOFING COMPANY WAS GREAT.
