The fact that he showed up in the evening and spent an hour here at least and didn't charge us? Who does that any more? We just got a SRP bill for over $500. We called John's refrigeration who sent out some guy from a company called HEAT. They said it was so there was no conflict of interest. When the man arrived I find out he was trained by John's. He spent 2 hours going over everything, taking heat photos, sealing my doors, testing air flow,d scanning windows It all looked so official and technical. When he was done he told me that we needed to re duct our whole house and our AC wasn't blowing cold enough. When he left he said he would send the results to Johns and they would contact me. John's rep showed up and told us all the same things and said if we waited til winter he could probably do the job for $3K-$4K. And it was going to be another $100+ to perform a check on my A/C to see what was wrong (then more to fix it) When he sent us the Bid it was $1500 more than he told us. At this point I called KEVIN at In Phase. Kevin came out, did his own inspection and showed us that we had 3 ducts that were installed upside down and cooling the ceiling. He opened another duct that was closed and told us to cover our windows and coat our roof and get the Insulation beefed up ( we were already planning on this one.) Then he left. No Charge, no BS to drum up work. We have done all but the insulation so far and what a difference it has made. I'd pay Kevin what ever he asked , just for his honesty!!!! So glad there is still integrity in the world!
Description of Work: He came out and took a quick look around and told me that most of the expensive things that were reported to me through the SRP audit via John's refrigeration were not needed. He save me over $5000. He spent 45 minutes looking and showing me things that could or should be done and could do ourselves and didn't charge me a dime.

They are very good. They are very fair prices and really know what they are doing. The person who came was very kind and caring. He listens to what your needs are. He bends to fulfill your need without increasing the price. He helped me reduce my monthly electrical costs. He showed me some things to do which showed a 20% reduction in power consumption. He programmed all my services tasks and explained very thoroughly how they worked. He assured me that if there is any problem he will come no matter what time it is. His name is Kevin.
Description of Work: I used In Phase Air Conditioning Refrigeration Appliance to install a new air conditioning system.

For years, our Dad's air conditioning and heating heat pump unit worked only sporadically even though the thermostat seemed to be working correctly. We thought it might be the easy-to-replace thermostat, so we installed a new one purchased from Home Depot, but it did not fix the problem. We then went online (at yelp) and found In-Phase (Kevin Anderson). He walked us through some diagnosis steps over the phone and said he thought it might be a simple switch replacement that was needed. When he came out, he inspected the unit and realized it was a bad connection on the circuit board. Then, instead of replacing it which would have cost a lot more, he fixed the loose wiring on our kitchen counter in less than 15 minutes. While he was up there (the heat pump is in the attic), he also noticed that it had been installed incorrectly and wasn't leveled as it should have been to function properly. With my husband's help to lend some muscle, he fixed it. All of this work was included as part of his standard service charge of $60. Then to top it off, he's not going to bill us for 30 days just to make sure that the repair works and that he doesn't have to come back out to replace the circuit board. Kevin's words were: if it's not fixed, there's no charge. You rarely if ever find people like this with honesty, integrity AND a high-level technical expertise. He really is a technophile and enjoys the technical aspects of his work. Furthermore, as a person, he puts excellence (cost effective and functional repairs) over any kind of extra gain for his business. The 30 days have passed, and Dad says the heat pump - both heat and A/C - have worked better than it had for years and we are extremely pleased that he has a home that is once again temperature controlled. We also hope the unit will be more energy efficient going forward. We have recommended In-Phase to our friends locally and thought an excellent business like his should be included on Angie's List too.
Description of Work: Fixed our HVAC heat pump by soldering a loose connection on the main circuit board. Also leveled the unit correctly while he was up there in the attic.
