Green & Trim Landscape

Planted a tree and several shrubs/plants and spread additional rock + put in a watering system for the maintenance of the improvements. Had Green & Trim do wall to wall pavers in the backyard a couple years ago and still get many compliments on the look and the quality of the work. We are completely satisfied with Daryl and his crew and recommend his company to you for any outside improvements or services.

Daryl's quote was the most reasonable; he scheduled the work in a reasonable time; the work was done very well in the scheduled time. Good knowledge and good work!!

Everything went great. Daryl and his team came out very quickly and completed everything in a couple of days with no issues at all. The yard looks exactly how we envisioned it. The new grass and trees are still thriving and the new irrigation system is working perfectly with no issues.

I requested a quote via Angie's List and provided fairly detailed information on what I need. I received no response. I followed up probably a week later with an email direct to the company owner via their web site and still no response. It's now been 2 weeks since my initial email to them. Yes, I could call them but, not sure why I should when this is likely a reflection of their lack of responsiveness, so I will try other companies.

Daryl and his crew were plain great!!! I would and will hire him in the future. He did everything he said and more. Hire this man and you will not be disappointed.

We had plants removed, irrigation capped, new lines run, and had pavers installed in the front yard, side yard, and backyard. Daryl was quick to respond to my inquiry, he came on site and sent me a quote within a couple days, and completed the work the following week. I am pleased with the work and would recommend these guys for paver installation and landscaping work.

i got the estimate and it was nicely detailed. They called to talk to me. i wiash i had gone with this service rather than the one i chose. i thought i could save some money hiring people to do it. Not so! it cost me more and I'm still working to get the work done right. My advice is to hire these guys and get it done right.

These guys were professional, fast and thorough and above all they were here right when they said they were going to be. I am hiring for a monthly maintenance starting next month. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends!

Daryl had his crew right over. They trimmed all of the bushes, cleaned up the weeds and mowed the lawn. They worked hard. They hauled all of the trimmings off. The backyard looked like a bit of heaven. They left the grounds clean and manicured.

It was GREAT! They did a wonderful job with the cleanup. Were professional, on time and we were very satisfied with the amount of work that was done for the price we paid. I would hire them back in a heartbeat!

Daryl's crew is always prompt, courteous & pleasant to work with. They performed all of the work just as requested. I'm picky about having some things done with loppers rather than electric trimmers, & they do a great job of getting the landscaping looking perfect again. Daryl always comes for part of the job but his crew is so good they need very little oversight.

From Daryl's initial visit and then developing the plan using the proper materials - everything (and I mean everything) was on schedule and completed by his crew exactly to our specifications which added value to our property and looks GREAT!

Daryl and crew were great to work with delivered exactly what he and I had discussed prior to getting his estimate. I liked the fact that he returned a couple days before the scheduled start date and did one final walk through to ensure we were in sync. The brick work for the pad and sidewalk was done perfectly. The stepping stones look fantastic and are very functional. The pruning was done as expected. Overall, no negative experiences encountered. All work was complete and properly cleaned up afterwards. I would hire Green & Trim Landscaping again.

Good. There was a little mix-up about scheduling for an estimate but Daryl was did recontact me and everything was accomplished promptly.

Daryl did a final confirmation walk-through with me on 8/10 and confirmed the job would begin on 8/15 and take less than 2 days. The crew arrived on time on 8/15 and the job was completed 8/16 before noon. The workmanship is impeccable. All five project parts meet, or exceeded expectations. The pad and walkway were artfully installed. The stepping stones were matched to complement my travertine patio and were less expensive than the stone that I was targeting. The crew was friendly, and cleaned up when the project was complete. My curb appeal has improved dramatically with the work performed. What I really appreciated was that there was zero miscommunication. Everything that I scoped for this project was done exactly as we discussed. Very refreshing based on some of the other reviews that I read. I would definitely hire Green & Trim again for my next landscape or hardscape project.

I could list dozens of specific instances, but to summarize, Daryl is a good guy and means well. But I believe that there is a quality issue that needs tighter control. Haphazard efforts on getting tiles straight around the pool area, unfinished or lack of a clean look around turns (cutting of tile), forgetting basic instructions for areas, etc. He's perfectly willing to fix problems, but the lack of proper oversight and note taking means that bigger jobs aren't the best fit for his crew. He has not come back on site since and unless he reads this I'm guessing he won't. Laid tiles on fire pit that curved upwards - had to reset Tiles that overhang around pool are not even - vertical 4 inch tiles have inconsistent gaps and spaces. Tile around support legs for balcony were poorly completed - had to give additional instructions to make it look right. When laying sod, didn't cut around pop up sprinkler. When it came on, sprinkler popped up under sod floor. Person laying sod left the utility knife in the grass next to last sod laid - my lawnmower found it. Travertine was laid in a checker pattern that didn't look natural - instructed it to be corrected. Job went 45 days when I was told it would be a week. Damage to granite countertop was to be fixed by him; claimed he called the repair people - never called or showed to fix it.

Perfectly. A small team of workers from Green and Trim demolished the affected area of the wall and rebuilt it to accommodate the roots of the pine tree. They made minor repairs and adjustments to a nearby gate. They trimmed the problem branches of the citrus trees. Getting the bid from the owner and discussing the job with him was a very easy process. There were no hassles. The job itself was completed in one day. I am completely satisfied.

I really hate to leave a bad review for small busines owners but I relied on the Angie's list reviews to hire Daryl, so I feel compelled to do so. First of all I like Daryl and his crew. Punctual and professional to be sure. When the work was completed, I was really happy too. However, I began to realize that the landscape was not evenly distributed at all and the worst part for me is that my old drip system was used with only a few used additions. Today I had my yard guy help me with the ancient old drip control which I thought had quit. Daryl set the control, not telling me that the cactus should have a completely different watering schedule. We tried to cap off the cactus & found out, of course, the old sprinkler heads were used & they are broken and cannot be capped off. No wonder I lost plants! Also, Daryl set the back & front yards to go off at the same time instead of staggering the times for better water pressure. I believe Darly's main business strategy is quick, cheap as possible and make as much money as possible. Who cares if the plants die later. I have reviewed my contract and it could be interpreted in Daryl's favor in regard to the drip system. However I know I said I wanted a completely new drip system including lines, control, heads, etc. and I know Daryl understood. I was just foolish and trusting enough to believe in him and didn't even get more bids. I have learned my lesson.

Went well. Daryl and his crew were on time the first day, very professional, he took my vision and implemented it beautifully. Crew was respectful, clean, and courtesy. Would definitely hire again.
