German Roofing

Very bad. They did not replace the bad plywood. They left it unfinished for one month. When I signed the contract it was promised to be finished for 6-8 days, they came back after a month. I told the contractor to replace the damaged plywood before he placed the tiles and they didn’t. I told them to fix the problem and they didn’t. There are broken tiles on the roof, when it rains I don’t see where the water run off is going. The contract also stated that they would paint and replace the trim. They did not. They were also supposed to replace pigeon spikes, they placed them in the wrong spot and they were very rude. They began January 23rd and it wasn’t finished until March. I paid them 20 thousand dollars and my roof isn’t in good shape.

This company has completed two separate roofing jobs for me now and both times have arrived when stated; have done excellent work (my wife even comments on how hard they work), and what I like is that a manager or the owner actually comes back and inspects the work completed and follows up with the owner on that inspection. German Roofing also works very neat and clean and here's an added note that's one you'll be hard to find with most companies...Manuel, the OWNER of the company, is very accessible and usually answers his cell when you call. Find that elsewhere! Great quality company at very reasonable prices! If you have roofing issues; call them.....but you better hurry as a lot of my neighbors are planning to call them soon....so they may be busy with a backlog!

German Roofing’s team did excellent, professional work and alleviated all my concerns when the project was completed.

They came when they said they would and did a fantastic job on the roof.

Roofers (two men) arrived 5:15 AM and worked till after 6 PM. They completed the 500 sq ft roof tile repair in one day. Temperatures were close to 110 degrees on the day of the repair.

Repaired roof damage quickly. This required replacement of tiles and damaged wood. The workmen were on time and cleaned up all debris. Sent a supervisor out to check work after it was completed. Very satisfied with work and price.

Very punctual and done timely, honest and dependable. I would hire again for future work if needed. Manny, the owner, is very thorough and inspected the home with me before making final payment.

The man took lots of pictures, explained what he saw, sent the pictures to me and sent me a quote by email the next day on repairing my roof.

I live in Ohio, my aging parents in Arizona. My parents called during a rainstorm saying the bedroom ceiling was leaking! From across the country I wasn’t sure how to take care of their problems. I didn’t know how I was going to find someone I trusted to take care of my parents. I decided to check Angie’s list & read the reviews. Manuel from German roofing was great to work with. I explained my concerns & he said the area received a great amount of rain and all roofing companies were extremely busy, but he would run over & put a tarp on their roof to help stop the leaking until it could get fixed. We then hired them for a complete new roof and they came through! My parents are now calmed down and are enjoying their new roof:) Thank you Manuel!

They stood me up not once, but twice. I waited at home four hours for them to come for an estimate, The first time they called four minutes before their arrival window, saying they were 20 minutes away. I had to reschedule and specified that I wanted to be the first stop of the day. They said they would be here at 0830. I never heard from them at all that day. I would never call them again.

Excellent roof for a good price. They replaced our patio roof (400 square feet) and shingle roof (3600 square feet). Two layers of old shingles were removed. The crew was prompt, polite and they cleaned up the yard daily. The job took 3 work days to complete. The crew addressed a few minor problems found on final inspection to our complete satisfaction. Communication with the main office was excellent.

German made appointments with me twice, then cancelled. When I complained, their receptionist advised that I "calm down" and "think about whether you really need any work done at this time." The house was in escrow and the work needed to be completed prior to closing, so I was very sure I DID want the work done, ASAP. Twice, I had arranged to stay home all day for them, only to be told late—after 4pm—that no roofer would be there either that day or the next. This was after the record windstorms in early October, so I appreciate that they were busy. However I found their behavior far less professional than the good rating which had encouraged me to call them in the first place would represent.

Grade F - I called for an estimate. A week and a half later I still have not received an estimate even though I called them two more times and they said it would be forthcoming. I am not sure they ever inspected the roof in the 1st place.

First appointment was week out and then the day off appointment we waited for them and then got a call 45 mins before the end of our window time to tell us they got a flt tire and would need to call to reschedule. I called the person back and said we are willing to wait that night no matter what time since we waited for this appointment over a week and had already left work early just to be home for them . Person never called back and never showed up that night . Then today 10/23/18 I get a call asking us if we want to reschedule. My initial appointment was 10/17. 7 days after they want to call me and reschedule, I think not. Unprofessional in my opinion. Express my thoughts to the Luis but seem to not care! I do not recommend for the simple fact That they DO NOT CARE!

I decided to give this company a try despite so-so reviews but I should have trusted the reviews. Initially the company was very responsive, I got someone out to look at the job within a week of claiming the deal but after that is when problems arose. It took almost 2 weeks and several unreturned calls to get a quote. The price was good so I tried to book but was told the earliest appointment was two months out. I asked for an earlier date and was told they would try and call me back....they called back 3 weeks later saying they did get an earlier date scheduled but they never informed me and missed the appointment because of other jobs. The appointment was scheduled for the next day but no one showed up or called to reschedule. A week later someone showed up to my house unannounced to perform the work but I turned him away because there was no communication prior to his arrival and I already booked another company. This company is unresponsive, unreliable, and completely unprofessional. Save your time and find someone else.

Great work, beautiful shingling, invoice matched estimate. Tree fell on our house during one of this year's storms, German Roofing recommended almost exactly what the adjuster did - re-shingle the front of the roof, sister in new rafters, replace cracked fascia board. Quick, fair estimate, work performed on schedule, easy to work with office staff, paid and done! No leaks from the rainstorms in the month following the work.

They did an excellent job, they were pleasant to work with and professional and they cleaned up very well when the job was finished

These people never returned numerous phone calls for a roof estimate, they obviously do not need any new business.

Our experience with German Roofing was amazing. We are selling our home and the inspector found a few things that needed to be done to our roof. We didn't know what to expect so we went online to look at several different reviews and called 4 companies for quotes. The first company estimated the job to be over $1000, the other 3 companies were at least half of that (including German Roofing). We saw what great reviews German Roofing had on Angie's List and decided to go with them. They were very friendly and professional as well as affordable and they even gave us a discount for having found them on Angie's List! The only reason we rated them a "B" on Responsiveness is because they needed to reschedule their initial appointment with us due to the monsoon and they weren't able to contact us to let us know until much later in the day on the day they were scheduled to arrive but they apologized for getting to us so late which we really appreciated. They wound up doing the work for us the very next day and sent us an invoice with pictures showing all the before and afters. One of the consistent comments we had read about other roofers was that yards were being left a huge mess, but German Roofing even put on their invoice "haul away debris and keep yard clean" as one of their items on the checklist. WOW! That's a company that is thoughtful and responsible! Thank you for such a great experience, German Roofing!

High quality work. They actually had patch repaired roof in past and advised to hold on new roof for estimated time. They were accurate in their estimated time to replace. Others were advising a new roof immediately.

After calling German Roofing for an appt., Manuel showed up on schedule to provide an estimate and give a "start date". He inspected the entire tile roof and provided a detailed description and location of problems. The estimate was broken into two tasks: 1, clear roof of debris, replace broken tiles, mortar joints, seal penetrations, estimate was $780.00, 2., repair 500 sqft. area, remove felt, battens replace bad plywood, and a lot more; including 10yr warranty. Manuel provided Cellphone photos showing damages and area. Estimate was $1680.00. Shocked, I said I would call in a.m. for confirm and schedule. After Manuel departed I and my son went to check the areas identified. NO QUESTION ABOUT IT...my initial inspection was "sad". I saw everything Manuel noted, saw the potential for attic and interior damages if nothing done, and confirmed the next day. The team headed by Carlos, showed on schedule and went right to work...which was estimated to take 2 days. I REGRET IT HAS TAKEN ME THIS LONG TO PROVIDE A "REVIEW" FOR GERMAN ROOFING...THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB and I've been smiles all winter and into the "monsoon season", daring it to rain!!!

They were quick and did an exceptional job. Took a little longer due to weather conditions but that was not their fault.

Very good - but had to call them back to finish a missed section.
