Description of Work: Our tenant called late friday afternoon to tell us the refrigerator was not cooloing very much at all. We called a half dozen appliance repair shops hoping we could get a service technician out there on Saturday. One was out of town that weekend; another was not open on Saturday; the other four were already closed on Friday but had voice mail. We left a voice mail message because these places indicated emergency 24/7 service available. Only one called back the following Monday. The rest never did answer our call. Amazing! Fortunately, we tried Best Buy's Geek Squad (which was not listed in Angie's List.). We originally thought they only fixed computer equipment. Were we wrong! They set up a service person to come out the very next day (Saturday) between noon and 4PM. They arrived and diagnosed the problem (bad thermostat/heater). The coils had frozen over with ice. So the tech guy used a hair dryer to melt the ice, which allowed the refrigerator to operate normally for a week or so while the part came in. The part was promptly installed the next week, and the refrigerator is as good as new again. They took a credit card number over the phone after completion. Their charge? $100 flat fee for the service call (which included two visits) and $77 for the part and tax. We're confident that any other repair place would have charged more for the two visits. We're very satisfied with Geek Squad's professionalism, attentiveness, promptness, courtesy, and pricing. They're highly recommended for Reno or for just about anywhere else Best Buy services. Five stars!

The laptop was a floor model, which was having software problems. It would not boot properly, so they needed to reinstall the software to it's brand new, out of the box, configuration. The Geek Squad was assigned the job of rebuilding the machine. When I went to pick it up, it only had the Windows software on there. None of the other software that comes with the machine. Also, it did not have the additional software which I purchased to be installed and configured for automatic virus scans ($60). I had to argue with the technician and then the technician's manager and then finally talked with the floor manager, who agreed that it should be rebuilt with all of the software. They finally did that, but when I got home and clicked on the icon for the virus software, it had not been installed or configured. I was very frustrated. I will never do business with the Geek Squad again. I will also never do business with Best Buy, but that is due to a different incident.

THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN 2-3 HOURS. I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD TAKE THAT LONG, BUT IT SOUNDS WONDERFUL AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB.
