+ -1 moreArrived 1 hour late, but no big deal. Two young guys show up and at first were friendly, although when we asked about getting a price quote for the services required they were constantly vague and uncooperative and would not give any pricing verbally or in writing. We spoke for about an hour and then they had to call another man to come over and actually locate the source of the water leak. Why THEY did not have this equipment on their van was never explained. So, again we wait another 30 minutes for this other guy to show up. In the meantime, we are told we need to pay $300 but it was unclear FOR WHAT. We both thought we were securing some kind of money to wards a work order. The water leak was supposedly located & the "locater" guy leaves. Since we were very confused we told them we were going to think about it. We finally got a card with a estimate of $4,800!! IT WAS A HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE! I AM IN BUSINESS & WILL TELL EVERYONE (5000++ PEOPLE A YEAR) NOT TO USE THEM.
Description of Work: The only "work" performed was to locate the source of a water leak under the slab in the hall bath. THIS COST ME $300 and was not fully discussed before they ran my credit card for the charge. They were very vague and would not commit to a price or even an ESTIMATE of what the job would cost. We wasted two hours getting nothing done, but told we would have mold (requiring another company to come out and remove the cabinet?) and it was URGENT that his job be done ASAP, etc. THEY WERE JUST A COUPLE OF SHYSTERS!! I am sure they were looking for a job to make under the table money from. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I hired APPLE PLUMBING who did the job @ $241.00 and found that the leak was ACTUALLY IN THE WALL, not under the slab. This was AFTER my tile and foundation were already jack-hammered up, mirror, vanity, etc., removed from the bath. All because we were given WRONG INFO from First Response and cheated.

+ -1 moreTHEY USED THE BEST COPPER MATERIAL AND EVERYTHING WAS PUT BACK IN GREAT CONDITION, WHEN THE JOB WAS COMPLETED. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY GAVE ME A GOOD PRICE AND DID THE JOB THE SAME DAY. I WAS VERY PLEASED. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Description of Work: THIS WAS THE THIRD COMPANY TO COME BY AND GIVE ME A BID ON THIS WORK. REPLACING WATER SERVICE FROM METER TO HOUSE & REPAIR LEAK BY METER.

+ -1 moreCAME OUT THE SAME DAY TO DO THE WORK BUT SURE MADE UP FOR ANY DOWN TIME BY CHARGING MORE THAN TWICE WHAT I WOULD CONSIDER A FAIR RATE.
Description of Work: SEWER BACKED UP OUTSIDE MASTER BATH. RAN A SNAKE AND CLEANED OUT BLOCKAGE.

water heater repair
+ -1 moreTHIS COMPANY PROMISES SAME DAY SERVICE. MY SERVICE MAN CAME AFTER 11 P.M., HAVING BEEN CALLED IN THE MORNING. HE DISCONNECTED MY WATER HEATER AND THEN GOT THE NEW ONE OUT OF HIS VAN. IT WAS DENTED. I WAS ASLEEP, AND MY HUSBAND SAID HE COULD INSTALL IT, OR ELSE WE'D HAVE NO WATER THE NEXT MORNING. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY DENTED $870.35 WATER HEATER. THEY DID COME BACK AND WRAP IT IN A JACKET AFTER I COMPLAINED.
Description of Work: REPLACE A BROKEN WATER HEATER WITH A LARGER 80 GALLON ONE.
