+ -1 moreIt worked out well. There was nothing I disliked. They did it fast; they came right away. I think they were a little expensive but the service was good.

Description of Work: Check-up, requested replacement of rubber at bottom of door, and replacement of some bearings that we needed to watch but I told him to go ahead and do it anyway.

+ -1 moreHe was prompt, efficient and helpful. Our wheelchair bound family member was out and need to use that entrance to get in the house. Serviceman came within the hour and had the door open before family member arrived. He was professional and very helpful in an emergency. We will use them again.
Description of Work: Serviced the garage door after getting it closed. It had locked up and wouldn't open or close. Left information and product to cut down on maintenance concerns.

+ -1 moreGenerally ok. The only problem was the repair person was unfamiliar with programing the Genie product and it took several tries and phone calls before it worked. This was not a major problem but it did take an extra half hour, thus the reason for the less than and quot;excellentand quot; rating. The issue of and quot;Priceand quot; is relative. Is $80 for an hour's work fair? Although I have not checked other firms, this is probably the going rate. Yet, in my opinion, it was about $30 too high to be rated and quot;Excellentand quot;.
Description of Work: Repair a Genie Garage Door opener. This is a screw type opener and the screw had separated into two parts. There was no apparent reason for this to have occurred nor was one offered by the company. Further, this was the company that installed the opener a little over a year ago.

+ -1 moreThey diagnosed the problem. They had to replace a part. They came back the next day and replaced some circuit boards. The guy was very professional. We have used two different guys. They both were very professional. They knew what they were doing. The pricing was fair to me. I would use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used Empire Door in the beginning of November. We had a problem with our garage door opener. The part and the labor was $285.

+ -1 moreThe good things were that they came the same day and we've had no trouble with the door since then. I thought they were a little expensive. They did not clean up any of the black stuff from the garage floor and we ended up tracking it into the house because we didn't know so much of it was on the floor. For 500 dollars, I thought they would at least sweep up when they were done. I did call the company and let them know about it. The lady I spoke with said that she would inform the manager.
Description of Work: The spring broke on our garage door. We called them to have them fix it. They installed a new spring and additional cables.
