The outcome of this job was so disappointing. The tile started a week late due to a lack of crew. When the crew finally showed up they were respectful and clean, however, they did a less that desirable job in our house. We asked that they lay the tile in such a way that if we ever decided to remove our remaining wood floors we could lay them to be consistent with the existing tile. Each room in our house has been laid at a different height. Rich, the owner was advised by his team to grind the floors down so that they could be laid evenly and he refused to do so because he misquoted the job. There are step ups in rooms that never existed before along with cracking grout. In the bedrooms, the tile was laid so high that we can no longer remove the sliding doors from to closets, they are stuck in the tracks and will need to be broken out. The master shower was created from scratch. When it was done the shower did not come to a 90* angle, it is extremely crooked and more like a 75* angel. The job was somewhat corrected after many complaints and upon doing so the crew used the wrong grout color so our grout came out as two different colors. This has to be redone as well but it was just painted over so eventually the mismatched grout will show. The master floor is at several different heights. Differing by 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch depending where you are standing as his guys did not use a laser level. Immediately after laying this tile we told Rich that we were unhappy with it and he said that he would rip it out if need be, but that we would focus on it when the rest of the tile was done. We attempted to communicate with him several times but he ignored us and never responded. We will now have to pay another company to come and remove all tile and re do.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the work that SOUTHWEST SET - N - STONE provided me with. My home was built in the 70's and desperately needed an upgrade. I had seen some of their work in another home but thought I couldn't afford it. After talking to Richard (owner) I found he had ways to help me stay within my budget and still look AMAZING! All of the workers were very professional and I felt very comfortable with them in my home while I was at work. Richard was great to work with and I feel besides having a new beautiful look in my home I have someone I can rely on for future work and someone I would not hesitate for an instant to recommend to others.

We had a lot of problems with them. Our floor had to be re-done three times. They used one of the cheapest thin-set even though we told them that our previous floor had problems with lifting and we thought that there were issues with the concrete. It probably wouldn’t have been a problem if they had listened to us in the beginning and taken some extra caution. It took more than two months for them to complete a job that could have been done in a week because they had to keep coming back and re-doing it. The people who worked for them weren’t very good. The owner claimed not to have any knowledge of all the information we had given him about the problems we had with the floor. He was told even before he made a bid. We asked him repeatedly throughout the job if he was really going to use that thin-set and we asked him if he was going to acid wash it or not. I had the discussion with him at least three times and he said that he never knew. So that was not too good. The price was fair, but we had to pay more for some things to replace some of the tiles. So that was unfortunate. The finished floor is fine, and it would have been okay if they had done it right the first time itself.

The entire project went extremely well. We couldn't have been treated with more respect by Rich and his employees.
