Horrible company, horrible customer service. For context, we were wary as our previous pool technician caused damage to our pool due to a lack of knowledge of how to work the pump/system. Because of this we have cameras and were watching our technician to make sure that the person working on our $75000 pool was doing it properly . Turns out, they weren't. Unfortunately for Davis Pool my wife and I were home this time when their tech came. He walked into my yard , put a chlorine tab in, and took pictures and left. I was actually trying to get outside fast enough to talk to him so he couldn't leave before I could get some answers. He was gone in less than 4 minutes before I could even make it outside. When I called it got worse. My initial call I was greeted with kindness and good customer service and the promise to pass it to management. I called back 5 or 6 days later (today) and was answered by Karen, the manager, who truly wears her name proudly. She told me she had no knowledge of the issue and when I began telling her what had happened she cut me off and told me that I was lying, that they had never had a problem or a complaint on our technician, Stephen, and that she had proof he was here for 24 minutes. I have camera footage as well as me and my wife's eye witness testimony that we watched with our own eyes that he walked into the yard and walked out before someone could even make it outside. I fired them, you should too. And definitely do NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE if looking for a company. They will treat you wrong and not give you what you have paid for.

This company is excellent. They are always prepared and capable. Their labor charge is reasonable. We've had a pool for 19 years and it took us up until three years ago to find a pool service and repair we were satisfied with. Excellent from phone call through job completion.

It was going fine accept for a few details like small rock piles at the bottom of my fountain into my pool and spa. They came every Wednesday all winter. Then when the weather warmed up around the first week of april i noticed the sides of the pool turning green. So I called tuesday april 7th to let Karen know that I had sprinkled a bag of shock around the wall and brushed it up the sides so it didn't get totally green before our service guy came the next day(wed). She assured me not to worry and that she would tell our guy and he would handle the rest tomorrow(Wed 8th). Well the service guy never came as scheduled Wed the 8th. He showed up Sat the 11th and told me he never got the message from Karen. That was my first frustrating experience. So today when I called to let them know that there was no chlorine in my pool Karen got very sassy. She was also answering other calls while I was explaining my concern that my pool wasn't receiving the service I expected. I paused my concerns as she welcomed other calls with me on the line?She must have noticed my shock and she proceeded to tell me she could multitask well so she assured me she heard what I was telling her. But with my last experience I questioned wether she would remember what I told her. I asked her to tell our guy not to add liquid Chlorine and at this point she acted very annoyed?. I was going to tell her that I wanted him to add what I was going to bring home. Realizing she had no intention of treating me with respect, I asked her not to send our guy out and to actually end our service. She seemed relieved. What happened next is shocking. I came home from a meeting to shock our pool, and after I added it I went to pull out the basket realized once again Karen had failed to communicate my request to stop service. To make things worse she never even called to let me know that he had put Liquid chlorine in as well. So now my pool is way over Chlorinated. Of course I called to complain and Karen refused to listen and hung up on me. Then she called me back and said, "Are you going to let me talk now" Yet she had never stopped to listen to her customer first. Then as I tried to finish explaining my disappointment she hung up a second time. This is the worst customer service I've ever received. Karen should not be in charge of answering customer calls. I was going to report this to the owner however I found out from the guy who referred me and all his other clients that Karen is the owners wife. Needless to say my friend will no longer refer his past pool clients to Davis pool service after hearing of my experience. Melissa Roberts

They showed up on time and only took a few minutes to replace the backwash valve. He was also nice enough to answer a few other pool maintenance questions I had. I would call them to come out again if I need a pool service company.

Very responsive, great communication. Definitely recommend them.

The cleanings have kept our pool in good working order. Recently we have been living out of state and Davis Pools has always contacted us to inform us when extra maintenance may be needed. I believe their attention has saved us from pump breakdown problems.

I haven't had any problems with Davis, they've been very reliable. When my cleaner went out initially, they found parts from another Baracuda Unit and "rebuilt" it for a replacement part fee. Then several years later when the cleaner was beyond repair, they helped me to buy a new Zodiac Cleaner T5 which had a rebate. When the rebate didn't arrive, the office secretary offered to help contact the manufacturer for me. All was well, and I received the rebate on the Zodiac which I purchased from Davis. My weekly service fluctuates from about $70 to $110 in the summer, this includes chemicals. They come every week on the same day and have a key to my back yard. I've had many service people through the years and most were very professional. When calling in work requests, Bruce usually helps me and issues are resolved promptly. I don't have too many pool situations though, even with a pool over 30 years old, which is surrounded by an oasis of vegetation.

Always show up and the office people are great.

Called. They diagnosed the problem over the phone. Next day repaired the problem and got me running again. I always call Davis Pools.

Replaced the damaged parts. I have used Davis for many years and have always been pleased with their responsiveness and professionalism.

Let me start by saying we have a twenty year old, huge, oddly shaped, diving pool with attached (raised) spa. It is situated very very close to our covered patio and has a ficus (which drops LOTS and LOTS of leaves) that grows over one side of the pool year round. I tell you this so that you understand that it is a significant amount of weekly maintenance. I skim leaves about mid week (between visits - more if it's been windy and we want to swim) and empty the catch bag on the cleaner when full, but even still, it is a time consuming thing to clean this pool appropriately. Additionally, we are in our pool nearly year round. The kids swim in dive skins in the fall and early spring so the pool has to be swim ready all of the time. We use the spa (3-5 times per week) year round. Rewind to February 2009: We first encountered Davis Pool before we had even purchased the property. The pool was hideously neglected and basically well on it's way to swamp status (think worst possible green standing water with bugs and horrible stench). The bank called on a Thursday to say they wouldn't sign off on the loan until I had the pool "pristine" and it had to be done by Monday. I found Davis' number written on the breaker box in the pool room and called. Heath (the best pool tech EVER) came out and gave me an estimate. He drained, acid washed, cleaned and refilled the pool, checked the pumps and filter. He let us know that we definitely needed a new filter but that it could wait for a few weeks while we wrapped up the closing. He also let me know that we had all the plumbing and working pump in place to clean with a Polaris instead of the broken Hayward that was in the pool room. I had no idea about the difference and Heath took the time to explain it all to me so I could make an informed decision. We ended up replacing the pool filter and needing a couple of pump repairs that first year. I didn't know that any body of water this size could go from swamp to gorgeous in that short of time but it did!!!! (On a side note: We also went with the Polaris and have been very very pleased with it's performance, but that's a review for another day) Fast Forward to Spring of 2010: I had been doing the pool and spa upkeep for the first year. But it was a lot of work and especially so when you factor in twin toddlers and two part time jobs. I enquired about weekly services with Davis and decided the price was reasonable. In truth, we really did not shop this around - I trusted their work and felt the price was good enough so we went with them. Like I said, I already knew about Heath's work and figured the cleaning guys would be just as good. Thankfully, I was correct. We have had 3 or 4 "pool guys" in the last three years. The first was only with us a couple of weeks so I don't know if I would really count him. The other three, Jacob, Jake and Daniel have all been wonderful. Daniel was the best by far - always here on his assigned day, always proactive in caring for our pool and troubleshooting any minor things that pop up. Daniel recently moved on to another career and we have a new cleaner. He is just to new to us for me to speak to his work ethic/punctuality/etc. I can honestly say that our pool has looked fantastic (baring any leaves that blow in) since the first time Davis took over the weekly cleaning and managing. We've had a hiccup here or there, but nothing of any real significance. Certainly, nothing I can remember the details about even a week after it's happened - they are just too few and too minor to even remember. You simply CAN NOT beat them for repairs. Heath does fabulous work, quickly and without any drama! I call the office and let them know what's going on, he comes out and says this or that, I agree to the option that works best for us and then the work is done. No hassle. No fuss. Prompt, quick, reliable and fixed right the first time. (some of the work I can remember having done: filter replacement, motor repairs - old motors so things break but they work well, jandy valve replacements, spa light repair, minor replumbing when hubby didn't open a valve and ran the motor/pump with out water flow. I know there are more, but I just can't remember them all). Perhaps I could find the weekly maintenance for less money elsewhere, but I genuinely like and trust the folks at Davis Pool. They are reliable, responsible, and professional. They, without a doubt, know pools and care about their clients. For me, that's far more important the MAYBE saving a couple of dollars on weekly maintenance.

My pool motor burned up and I needed to get a replacement. I called about a half a dozen places and then remembered I had a good experience with Davis Pool Service & Repairs about 10 years earlier. I called them on Monday 7/09/12, They were the first company to return my call and gave me a quote on the replacement and service. The next day Heath (their tech) came out and took a look to see what needed to be done. He was able to answer all my questions and discuss my options. Heath came back the next day and had the whole thing up and running in short order. Great service and their phone quote as spot on. I will use these folks again.

I think they are pretty good most of the time. They usually show. There have been a few periods of time over the years when they missed a week. I suppose a company like that, where they have pool guys, might occasionally lose a worker and have a lot of change, and may be miss a week once or twice in the last 3-4 years. In general, I consider them to be pretty reliable. They are usually pretty good at spotting any minor problems with the pool as they come up. Overall, I am happy with them. I really haven’t done any comparison checking and I don’t know how they compare in terms of pricing. I am happy enough with them that I have been with them for about 5-6 years now. There have been a few times when I have had to call and get them to come out or they have missed a week or two. They show up every week most of the time.

I have a home warranty and Davis Pool was the company the warranty company selected to make the repairs. I called to schedule my appointment. When I said my address was in Scottsdale, they had to check because it could be outside their service area. They checked and agreed to perform the service in 2 days. The service tech called about an hour before to tell me he was on his way. He arrived before I got home and had explained the problems and how he was going to fix everything. He had to repair/replace most of the pipe installed by another company 2 weeks earlier (the "other company" had to come out 3 times and never fixed the problems). The tech (I believe it was Keith) knew EXACTLY what the problems were and he actually fixed the problems. He replaced the 3-way Jandy valve and several of the PVC pipes connected to the Jandy, as well as the PVC pipes connected to the filter from the pump. The parts were $97 and the labor $120 + tax. I only had to pay $100 (home warranty deductible). I will request Davis Pool again from my home warranty company if I need any future repairs. When my warranty expires, I would use Davis Pool and pay out of pocket.

Never had a problem with Davis. They show up weekly, the day varies. They've repaired several things for us, gage that reads pressure, a broken part on the creepy crawly. If they find something questionable, they are proactive, and call us before it gets out of hand, to see if we want it repaired. They backwash as needed with monthly service. Use liquid chlorine and leave a floater of chlorine tabs.
