CYC Landscaping

I used CYC landscaping for a backyard remodel in 2012 and was very impressed with their design and project completion. When I had my parents house for rent in 2013-2014, I hired them to complete the monthly landscaping. The charge was fair for professional landscaping and once per month service. However, as the months went on I questioned if they were actually coming by each month (hard to know since I didn't live there and I would see a bush here or there that I thought needed trimmed). In the end, I cancelled the contract and within a month I saw how "wild" the yard became. They definitely were coming when they did and they did a great job previously. Within one month the yard was a disaster so they definitely did come vs what I previously thought. In the end, my parents moved out and took care of their own yard. However, if they didn't take care of it themselves, I would definitely hire them again.

I suppose they were busy, but they postponed our work at least twice, and did not show up on the scheduled days. The project was started in late September 2008. The two workers doing the faux wall were not experienced. As a result the workmanship is not a balanced look. One worker seemed to know how to place the stones. The other worker did not. We complained and the more experienced worker completed the job. Ufortunately about a third of the wall looks bad and does on match the rest. I had to remind CYC that there needed to be cap stones placed on top of the finished wall. They came back later and completed that. The rock work, shrubs, trees and lights went well. We had a minor problem witht he irrigation and they did come back to fix.

I'm really happy with them. They are efficient, professional, they point out things that might need maintaining later on, and they're always willing to give me an estimate right then on things that I ask them to do.

CYC was great, the owner came by and did a thorough job of understanding what I wanted and what I was willing to spend. He spent a week putting together a very thorough plan of action for the entire back yard and explained how we might be able to break it into multiple projects. We went to the showroom where they had many examples of the different pavers available. We scheduled the project. The workers came and were very professional. They worked fast and didn't make any undue mess. It was obvious that they went the extra mile and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction.

Yard looks immaculate. They show up as required. Even great answering service on the weekends. Have gone above and beyond to ensure function of irrigation work a year ago, even sent out team member to check controller when I had issues setting up. Will keep as primary care yard service for south chandler.

From beginning to end, the project went smoothly. Communication was good and timely. The workers were neat, diligent, courteous, and professional. We are very happy with the finished product.

We had a great experience. They did a great job and the price was good. They did the whole project and did it on time.There was a little problem with some of the plants initially which we were depressed but they came back and replaced them. He did a great job communicating and it was a great experience.

It did not go very well with them. When they did come out to do the installation there wasn't actually a boss that knew what he was doing, and what we wanted. They had a lot of people here on the job that didn't seem to know what they were supposed to do. My wife had gone outside a few times to tell them exactly where we wanted some of the plants. After the installation we were having some problems and when someone came out to take a look, they said that everything we were having a problem with had been done properly by them and that we did not specify that something needed to be done. The follow up wasn't very good either. I will not use them again.

CYC arrived on time, they were professional and my yard always looks fantastic because of them.

This provider contacted me within 48 hours and was not able to do the job (too small). They gave my information to a company who handles smaller projects that used to be a part of their company. The smaller company never called.

For $73 a month, this crew of 2 or 3 comes out every fourth Thursday to do my yard maintenance. David is the head of the crew, and he answers any and all questions I may have, or he knows who to ask to get the answers. I've had them trim branches off my trees, and when I bought this house in December of 2012, the yards needed a BIG overall cleanup They keep my place looking so nice, and the few times I've had issues with my underground sprinkler system, they've given me an estimate for repairs on the spot, and did the work quickly and efficiently. I will not hesitate to hire them to do any major landscape work I may need in the future, and I've already recommended them to friends.

CYC has been one of the most professional providers I have worked with in over 5 states. They were friendly and punctual. I heard from the office regularly before and during the project. Both the owner and project manager showed up each day to touch the site while their diligent staff worked efficiently and cleanly. Our yard had no outside access and they made very sure not to get dirt anywhere in my house by tarping and sweeping each day. The WOW factor was the real present and I will brag for decades about their amazing artistic style and professionalism.

I called to get an estimate to remove some grass and add stones. Mike was very prompt to provide me a quote. CYC scheduled the service in a timely manner and were very professional. There was a minor issue with a landscaping light, but this was resolved.

Never called back or showed up.

They have been doing a good job. Their people are prompt. They always notify us and e-mail us with any delays, especially when they are late. Their pricing are comfortable for most in the area. We have a larger yard than most people in our area so we pay more because of that. We also have a lot of landscapes than a lot of people do here in arizona. They did a nice job. They clean up very nicely. Everytime they come, they ask whether there is anything that needs to be done on top of what they are scheduled to do. We also make decisions on whether when we want the bushes trimmed or not. They will have to take a look at the instructions if they know that they have a note to follow. Everything has always been perfectly done. It looks very new and refreshing after they work.

My yard has a lot of river rocks, and the HOA landscaping surrounding the yard has a lot of Eucalyptus trees. Those trees shed leaves and debris year-round, and the leaves get stuck between the rocks. I tried blowing them out myself with a leaf blower, to no avail. CYC stops by once/month on a pre-determined schedule to clean up all the debris with their "industrial strength" leaf blowers. The company also changes the watering schedule twice/year, and has other seasonal recommendations. They are responsive, professional, and reliable.

Called to request an estimate for major cleanup and regular maintenance program. Appointment set for over a week later. Called to confirm time frame on agreed upon date, was told the date had been changed for the following day (we were not notified). Asked for a time or at least time frame to expect agent, was told would be called back later in the day. No call later in the day nor following day. Agent showed up unannounced and was clearly not interested in a job that was not on their level of "suburban high-end". Would not recommend to any homeowner who cares about responsive service and sensitivity to environmental impact. Hired a highly rated competitor and will report after their work commences.

They did an excellent job. They did things professionally. They really made a clean cut work. I had them for a year, and I use them every month. They do mowing, trimming, fertilization and so on.

The bid was thorough. It was accurate. They did a USB version of the quote. But we did not go with them, based on price.

The entire project was a great experience from the initial bid with Mike Larchick until the project was completed. He came out to look at the property initially and ask what our vision was for that space, but he also offered very helpful ideas to improve our plan and is very knowledgeable about design and function. He e-mailed us a detailed bid and a hardscape plan a few days later which was very thorough so there were no surprises in cost at the end of the project. The project was scheduled, started on time and completed on time. We had absolutely no problem with any of the workers, they were all very pleasant, hard-working, considerate and really seemed to love their jobs (we heard alot of laughter coming from the backyard). They were also meticulous about clean-up. If you are looking for a low-price bid, this is not the company to call. HOWEVER, if you want professional, quality work done exactly like your vision and done on time, I would highly recommend CYC Landscaping. We love, love, love our new entertainment area.

I am dazzled with the ENTIRE process from estimating, design, installation and follow-up. Chris (owner) was my initial contact from CYC. What he verbally proposed was reflected on a blueprint for my review before we signed a contract. READ THE CONTRACT before signing. We agreed on a price and the work started in two weeks. Eric the on-site foreman and Justin the field supervisor were polite, professional and made on-site recommendations for improvements. The work was finished in a timely manner and on schedule. As in all large construction projects, there were some residual issues that were resolved with one phone call. One suggestion....if you use CYC, be home during the work to make decisions when suggestions are recommended. It's worth it. ___ BRAVO CYC!!!

My dream of a back yard included lots of color and personality, including an area that I could plant a few annuals or a small garden. Although I wanted a little grass, my primary requirement was flowering plants and pavers. CYC listened and delivered! I was first impressed with the designer, Mark, when he arrived at my house with a laptop. After listening to my ideas and making suggestions, he designed the back yard on the laptop whie we talked, making modifications along the way. It was great seeing the design come together in front of my eyes. I had already met with two landscape companies, both who expressed their ideas, took notes of mine and said they would be back in about a week with a design. Right away CYC stood out. CYC's estimate came in higher than the others, but the level of detail and thought they put into the design made the difference. They thought not only about the initial installation but how the work would hold up over time. They were right on schedule with their work from beginning to end. Their crew was exceptional! They worked hard and stayed on tasks, and answered questions I had as the work progressed. Everyone I worked with from CYC on the phone and in person was professional. What a great company! It has been a month since they completed the work. The yard is so relaxing. I'm enjoying watching the plants grow and bloom. I couldn't be happier!

All the workers were very polite and responsive to on the spot minor changes (sometimes a bit more than minor). The job was started on time and ended as planned. This is the 2nd home we used CYC for work and would not hestitate to hire them again if the need arose
