As it turned out, a rental property was listed when tenant moved. I asked Mark to make the curb appeal better as my Realtor advised. He did a low cost plan that definitely made the curb appeal better! The front of the house as well as the back were done within a week. The rock was delivered about 7AM and distributed to the yard before noon. Even the City of Scottsdale code enforcer was impressed! The house sold within the week.

Excellent. CYC replaced all of my concrete walkways with pavers, planted new bushes and trees and installed a new load of granite stones. It looks great and they finished all of the work within the three day estimate that they gave me. I definitely recommend CYC.

Great - Design was perfect for what our budget was. The job was scheduled and executed just as they said it would be and they promptly took care of any issues that arose.

The pavers look great. I am so glad he suggested the alternative. AND it was done in a day.

Mike met with us and was very attentive to the requirements we presented. He came back with a solid design which was quickly tuned to exactly what we wanted. We are very pleased.

I am disappointed. I had four other estimates for this work and I violated my own rule as regards to bids as I picked the highest as I wanted a really great lawn. Their sales rep came out at the beginning of July and the total bid was over $3000 with a bit above $700 for the irrigation system part. They were prompt in arrival for all work being done and the first step was spraying for weeds in my existing lawn bed. The majority of the work was done in one day and the old dirt removal, preparation of the lawn be and laying out of the new sod was expertly done. The irrigation system was another matter. The original bid was to modify my existing system into two zones and to mount the valve below ground in an appropriate box. The price also included a new controller and wiring. For the most part this was not done. They elected to use my old single zone system and the valve was mounted above ground as my old manual valves. The controller was eventually located near my breaker box as electricity was not available near the valve. In essence, I paid $733.73 for a handful of sprinkler heads, a valve and the controller plus wiring. A definite overcharge and no offer of a partial refund was made. Once everything was installed things went fine for a few days. On the Friday after the installation (mid-week) I found my backyard partially flooded as one of the couplings to the new sprinkler valve had split. I had to shut off the water and get an emergency repair from a 24-hr sprinkler repair company (another $100). The next morning the controller failed. The sales person was good enough to come out on a Saturday and he installed a new controller even though the programming was wrong (I did it myself). Finally the installation of the controller that was originally done was a bit amateurish as it was located so close to my pool timer that one could not open the timer door. The PVC pipe that routed the wires up from the ground was not fastened to anything and was simply floating. I had to properly install the fittings and pipe myself. One week after the lawn installation it became infested with nut grass. I didn't even know what nut grass was until one of their employees told me what it was in what was left of my old lawn. They dispute this. I spoke to the owner of CYC and he said it made no difference if it was there before or after the treatment would be the same. He offered to pay for one treatment. He said he would contact the company they work with to contact me to get this done. After one week I heard from no one and subsequently engaged a company on my own to treat the lawn (what may involve multiple treatments). I finally received an email from the company that was to treat my lawn originally and they said they had my email address wrong. In summary; I was overcharged even though I paid a premium price and what was delivered was not per the original agreement (irrigation system).

Our old backyard was not very functional and had a large fireplace blocking the sunset and view. CYC designed a completely new lay-out with a fire pit and outdoor BBQ and a wrap-around walk on the side yard. They completed the job ahead of schedule, on budget, and after completion came back promptly to fix a minor problem. We really enjoy our new backyard and spend almost every evening outside enjoying the great Arizona sunsets and evenings.

I ended up using CYC Landscaping. I had a the backyard re-landscaped. They came out yesterday. I've got a tree that I was concerned about and they do really nice job. I was really happy with them. They think I have been over watering it, so, they'll gonna watch over it and if it dies then were gonna replace it. The leaves came off.They did not charge anything about it. I will use them again.

We spent a lot of time designing and they worked with us every step of the way. Had to coordinate with a pool being built but it worked out very well. When the design was finished the work was scheduled and completed quickly. They came back after the pool was done to finish everything off and fix a few minor issues. They do quality professional work and I would use them again.

The workers were punctual and all the work was completed in one day. The plants are healthy, the lights provide the right amount of subtle lighting. I feel as if I am living in a resort.

Chris, the owner, came over and worked out a plan for our yard which included a detailed drawing. The work was supposed to be completed in two days. On the first day several of the plants were planted in the wrong place and several plants were missing from the order. No one seemed to know where several of the plants were to be planted. The pine tree we were expecting to have planted was missing from the order and it took another ten days until they came back to plant it. Also, we noticed a missing uplight to one of the trees, but installation was delayed until the pine tree was delivered. A day after the major planting job was completed, we noticed that the plants looked a little stressed. We discovered that the irrigation system had been turned off so no plants were being watered. Another issue that was problematic was the irrigation system. We had asked Chris to be sure to have the lines checked to all new plants to make sure they were working properly. Unfortunately, this was not done, so the plants were not being watered properly. We advised CYC that the irrigation lines had not been checked, but they did not fix the lines until nearly a week later. One thing I noticed was that all of the landscape plants were listed on the contract as five-gallon plants. However, many of the plants looked to be quite small, more like one-gallon plants. The explanation given was that they could look like one gallon plants because they may have been transplanted from one gallon to five gallon containers recently. After much back and forth and many visits by CYC people, the plants are finally in their correct location and they fixed the irrigation lines as promised. Overall, we are happy with the plants and the design that was created by Chris; however, the process was not smooth and there were too many problems for us to recommend this company.

The office staff kept me informed and were prompt in returning all phone calls, and answering my questions. The work crews arrived at the appointed times. They cleaned up daily and when the job was completed, even swept the gravel and dust off the street where all the rocks and granite had been deposited until they were needed.

I thought they were an exceptional company from beginning to end. I would recommend them to my family and friends, and I would use them again.

Design was provided based on our needs. Installation crew was professional and excellent! Working with them was very easy. The result is every bit as beautiful as we wanted it to be. Our backyard is now an area that we can enjoy year round. Thanks to Mike Larchick and CYC!

Getting scheduled was difficult. We were not contacted in a timely manner, and follow call backs either didn't happen or took days. Our first appointment was missed and meeting availability was very limited. While our contact person and designer was pleasant, the backyard design was lacking in creativity, leaving us disappointed.

CYC contacted me quickly to set up an appointment for the landscape design. Mike was very helpful and relatively quick to get my design back to me.

They did a real good job.They cleaned the place very nicely and all we had to do as home owners is to improve the condition that it was in when they left. They trees were well placed and the choice of material was pleasant.

I think they were fine, the gentleman came out and spent plenty of time reviewing the plan and answered all the questions we had at that point. They seemed to be a good service, so I would say we didn't have any issues, we just have to decide what, if anything we are going to do at this time.

Helpful suggestions. He worked up a landscape design with berms, plants for my front yard. The estimate for the work was a lot more than I have budgeted so I'm not proceeding at this time.
