Description of Work: "We had Cook Remodeling do a major project involving enclosing car port into garage and entirely remodeling kitchen, including moving walls and creating a laundry room. The total cost was around 100K. We chose them with the belief that they had the experience and size to make sure permiting went smoothly and that the design team would help us by knowing things we didn't even know we didn't know about kitchen design. The original timeline called for a 5 week project. After 12 weeks we were finally able to begin using our kitchen with completion of little odds and ends 2 weeks later. |The project was plagued from the start. Plans had to be submitted twice to the city for the simple reason they didn't measure the house dimensions properly. The same measurement errors spilled into the kitchen with us having to make significant adjustments in the cabinetry because the plan showed that we had a bigger house than we really do. They consistently made the mistake of over promising and under delivering. Whenever we came across a problem, (of which I unfortunately had to catch several where simple mistakes had been made) I would get multiple conflicting answers on what the problem was and what might be done to remedy it. The delays in the project did not come from us 'changing our minds' on what we wanted, they were almost exclusively due to having to correct things that had been done wrong or from the contractors or sub-contractors not showing up as scheduled. They were careless about locking doors at the end of the day, they didn't keep the job site as clean as they claimed they would, which was a big deal with us actually attempting to live in the house as the job was done. |The quality of workmanship was good though not perfectionistic. I am generally happy with the final outcome though I come away with the sense that if I had not been that 'annoying homeowner' supervising too closely all sorts of things would have slipped by that would have left me very unhappy. They were very fair with me on the financial side and I did not have to have conflicts over money. And they did seem eager to 'make things right' as each problem came up. However, I would not choose this company again."

Description of Work: Installed crown molding, repaired a water leak in exterior wall above master bedroom, patched settling cracks in walls and around windows, prepped and paintered master bedroom. |Project started on time, ran smoothly and finished on time.

Description of Work: I wanted to put a side door in my garage, so a new opening had to be created in the wall and door hung in it. This required a concrete stoop and a new light fixture with wall switch. I had a hard time finding someone to do the work; it was either too small a job for most companies I contacted or too large a job for handy-men. Cook remodeling was willing to do the work. | |I set up a meeting for them to come out and give me a bid. An hour after not showing I called them and they came out and apologized for missing the meeting. The rest of the work was all done on time so I'm not really holding that against them. | |The work was good and would recommend again.

Description of Work: They added an addition (office) and enlarged the dining room. I highly recommend them and the company gets high marks from Sun Lakes residents.

Description of Work: Remodeled master bath and other misc. work. The finished project looks great. There were a few quality issues but were resolved. They we're clean, responsive and we enjoyed working with the owner and the project manager.

Description of Work: I called Cook Remodeling to see about getting an estimate. Unfortunately I called from my work number which shows up as an 800 on caller ID, and the line was picked up and hung up over 7 times within a two minute time span. Shortly after I called from my cell number and was told that they thought I was a marketing call and that is why. The issue I have with this is no one even bothered to confirm if that was the case, even after the 7th repeated attempt, and because of this I will take my business elsewhere!

Description of Work: Even though the company was not a good fit for my situation. They helped to point me in the right direction and get me in contact with other companies that was a much better fit for my small job. Thank you for all your help.

Description of Work: We have a spare room in our house with no closet, and it is right off of the door to our garage. We added a closet in the room, and a wall and door to create a private entrance to the room, so any traffic going out to the garage would not have to go through the room.

Description of Work: In this house they did a complete room addition. In my previous home they did a kitchen, a bathroom, and a room addition.

Description of Work: A bedroom addition was added to my house.

Description of Work: Cook Remodeling & Customer Construction Inc., enclosed our patio with construction that matched our four year old home. The approximately 320 square foot enclosure included: Appropriate demolition; concrete flooring to match house grade; framing, drywall; insulation; matching windows and door; tile roofing; compliant electrical; exterior stucco; matching floor tile; and matching interior and exterior painting.

Description of Work: We have an older home in which a room was "sunken", as was the style of the period. Cook Remodeling and Custom Construction removed the old carpet and pad, cleaned the underlying foundation, then raised the floor of the room to bring it to the level of the surrounding floors. They installed new baseboards and did some touch-up staining on existing surrounding wood, all in preparation for new carpeting.

Description of Work: They installed a new shower and replaced the bathtub. It took about two weeks.

Description of Work: I asked Cook Remodeling to come over for an estimate.

Description of Work: We have asked them to help us with a problem with our kitchen cabinets. We have also asked them for a bid on remodeling both of our bathrooms and a room addition.

Description of Work: We added a room on to the front of our house which we will use as an office-computer area. The final design actually enhanced the look of the house and we received many compliments from neighbors and people passing by.

Description of Work: Installed new garage door, and redid roof overhang, remodeled downstairs bathroom, added custom cabinetry in kitchen, put in hardwood flooring, tile, and carpet, taped and re-textured walls, painted interior and exterior.
